The last time a Nintendo platform hosted a Tekken game was at the beginning of the Wii U era when Tag Tournament 2 released on the system. The game was generally well-received and has left Nintendo fans wondering when they'll eventually be blessed with another entry in Bandai Namco's established fighting series.
Over the past few years, Tekken 7 director and producer Katsuhiro Harada - also responsible for Pokkén Tournament on the Wii U and Switch - has remained tight-lipped when asked if the seventh entry would make its way across to Nintendo's newest system. So, what's the latest update? During an end of year Tekken Twitch live stream, Harada was asked yet again about bringing Tekken 7 to the Switch. He said it's all dependant on how much the fans would like it, and to let the development team know if they would like to see the game on Nintendo's hybrid platform.
Since the launch of the Switch in 2017, fighting games on the device have become increasingly popular. Next year is already shaping up to be quite special with Mortal Kombat 11 releasing in the first half of the year. Some of the previously released fighters on the platform include Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy.
Would you like to see Tekken 7 or perhaps a future entry on the Switch? Show your support in the comments.

whatever happened to Tekken x Street Fighter?
I’d buy it! 😎 day one
if it has nintendo character outfits then im sold.
Why do we have to port beg?
Sigh. I'm not gonna go out of my way to ask for it, but if you wanted to bring it to switch I would be interested.
At this point, switch sells alone should be enough to interest developers in taking the time to bring their titles over.
I would LOVE to have this! Do it!! 😃😃😃
@Knuckles-Fajita same can be said about sony or microsoft base over bayonetta 2,bayonetta 3 and now MUA 3 being on the switch
This is the second time in just a few months that Namco asked us to port beg, smh.
I'm no fighter fan. However, I'm interested to hear how well the figthers released on Switch have fared sales-wise, though.
@PrincessBowsette Except the games you used as examples are Nintendo exclusives, Tekken 7 is multi-plat.
I'm on board! I'd love to see more third party support on Switch and I'd be more than happy to give Tekken a shot!
@Knuckles-Fajita Exactly. This isn't the Wii U. I have plenty of great stuff to play with or without Tekken 7.
The Switch is a very successful console. If Namco wants to make a good business decision they can port it. I'm not going to beg for third party support.
@Knuckles-Fajita We did it in the Wii and Wii U era, we'll continue to do it because dangit, we're interested in these games!
(Or I am, at least...)
If he's gonna bring a Tekken game to a Nintendo platform it'll likely just be another one-off title. Namco never brought any of the main Tekken game to Nintendo system thus Nintendo fans missed out on an entire storyline of the series. There's Tekken Advance for GBA, Tekken Prime for 3DS, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Wii U all are nothing but one-off title with no story and no significant. They're fun at first but time after time all those games did was offer the experience but never truly delivered on the main package.
I would prefer new Soul Calibur, Street Fighter or even Dead or Alive to be frank. Tried to get into tekken but never got to understand the mechanics
@PolarExperience Exclusives or not i was just pointing out that some of the xbox and sony base have been port begging for bayonetta 2 to come to their systems and now their doing the same thing with MUA 3.
@dimi i agree namco should remaster soul calibur 2 with link it for the switch.
@PrincessBowsette But doesn’t it make more sense that an older game on several platforms goes to a new console vs. an exclusive coming to other consoles, defeating the point of an exclusive? That’s just my take on it.
@MasterGraveheart Namco: "Dance, puppet! Dance! Mwahaha!"
F tekkan.... give me soul caliber anyday
There is no Switch equivalent to Wii U's 'Tekken Tag Tournament 2' and that has been bugging me more than Armor King's reverse bridge.
And while we are at it, I would like to retire my Gamecube Soulcalibur II before the disc melts from extensive use, so please put Soulcalibur VI on Switch as well. Thank you.
@PolarExperience not disagreeing with you but there alot port begging on all console sides which is nothing new of course but maybe namco wants to test the waters for tekken 7 on the switch to see how it does i mean xenoverse2, fighter z and smash ultimate proves fighting games are very popular on nintendo systems as well i mean Mortal Kombat is making a return to the nintendo systems which is awesome.
Day one for me.
They got Mortal Kombat 11 and they can't see that is just moves is how I see it.
I am so sick of hearing this. The Switch is selling like crazy and fighting games are a HUGE chunk of the library. CLEARLY there is a healthy audience for fighting games on Switch.
I am so bloody sick of "Game X depends on fan demand for a Switch release"
Seems odd that they need fan demand when the 20 million+ and still rapidly growing userbase would buy it. I'd be willing to bet it would sell the Xbox One version.
bring it or dont bring it I dont care Im flooded in content atm
Tekken is my favourite game series. This will be a day one. Have owned every game since 2.
Not interested with Tekken at all.
I want 3D Cartoonish Boxing / Kickboxing / K-1 games on Nintendo Switch.
ARMS, Street Fighter Anniversary Edition, Smash Ultimate, Mortal Kombat...think I'm good for a while on fighters
On what stupid criteria should a port be dependent on fan outcry? Why not just port the game instead of being a pusillanimous developer about it?
It's obvious that there is no audience for fighting games on Nintendo hardware. It's not like some massive fighting game just launched a few weeks ago on this current Nintendo hardware and broke several sales records.
...
...
...
Wait a sec...
I literally made an account just now to ask for this. I played the crap out of Tekken 7 on PC and would buy it Day one and re-activate my online account for it.
Do it. We need more AAA fighters on the switch.
if it does comes they better not release it too close too one of nintendo big hitters next year since next year is jam packed with games for switch.
I would buy Tekken in a heartbeat, perfect fighter on the go!
I mean, I wouldn't mind paying full price again. I would be all over the moon if Tekken 7 comes to Switch
All I want is Tekken Tag 2 or Tekken 7 from them, but if they won't provide it I can't buy it. Simple as that.
Companies like Namco or Capcom that want us to “port beg” or develop Mega Man Legends 3 for them, I don’t have the time for that.
Companies like Bethesda, SNK, and WB Games that just release things will get my time and money.
@PrincessBowsette @Knuckles-Fajita If I remember correctly, it was EA that said "the audience isn't there" when they were asked why a specific game of their's wasn't being released on the Wii U. I know that excuse is crap, though.
@ecco6t9 Don't think that Warner Bros Interactive has the best track record with Nintendo systems. They provided no support on the Wii U days till right now, since the Switch struck gold. And by that thought, I'm still worried on how Mortal Kombat 11 will run on Switch (since they are also notorious for releasing poorly optimized PC ports). Bethesda actually seems to be the only one that you mentioned that actually cares for the Switch at the moment and take their time.
@personauser0893 What is the purpose of saying this? What’s so wrong with the Switch getting more games of a certain genre?
Makes me wish sega would revive Virtua Fighter, I've always fancied it more then Tekken
@Kainbrightside ea can keep their games their too dam greedy and rush their games out broken.
Just release the damn game; if it's good people will buy it. Do you want us to sign a binding contract stating that we're going to buy the game before you can release it?
I mean, I’d grab it on the Switch if it hadn’t already been deeply discounted on multiple other platforms already... Better be a complete edition or something.
Meh. Tekken doesn't really do anything differently to all of the other fighters out there.
I would kill for Dead or Alive though.
Namco should make Ridge Racer for Switch, too many fighting games already. Even a port of the Vita version will suffice.
@Retupmocnin or bring more tales games to the switch like a remastered edition of tales of symphonia.
Here we go again.
Please, please, please bring Tekken 7 to the Switch.....or not.
Im happy with the fighting games already on the system plus MK 11!
@personauser0893 But when will Tekken 8 come out? Is Tekken 8 even in development?
@mikegamer
I got smash.... So I ain't begging.
I ain't spending money on this game if it doesn't come to the Switch, I'll just buy a different game. So many games next year, one less off my list (it wasn't even on it to begin with).....
Never did like theTekken series even tho my brother loved it. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat all the way for me personally.
Maybe they're just saying that to see what everyone responds with when in reality they're waiting to see how King of Fighters XIV, the new Samurai Spirits, & Mortal Kombat II perform on the Switch.
@PrincessBowsette It doesn’t matter how much Xbox and Sony fans beg for Bayonetta 2 and 3 though because they are both first party titles. They are never leaving Nintendo.
@Kainbrightside dont forget they force lootbox down gamers throats and i wouldnt be surprised their new ip anthem is going to be filled with that crap.
Or you can stop begging for port begging, shove Tekken 7 up your.... and bring Tekken x Street Fighter exclusive for Nintendo Switch.😘
I'd rather have Soul Caliber than Tekken, to be honest... Anyway Switch isn't lacking in great fighting games so if they don't bother bringing Tekken to the console, I'll be fine.
I'm not begging this time.
Wanna test the waters again? Port Tekken Tag 2 from the Wii U, watch it still sell gangbusters (unless you're like Square an expect Hollywood numbers for a single game).
@ecco6t9 yes. Bethesda us great with their misleading products and bugfilled releases. Please Namco be more like Bethesda and release unfinished games to cash in on hype and subpar merchandise.
I'd rather them ask me to port beg.
Yes please, day one purchase.
I would love it! I want to see all fighting games series on the switch.
@saintayu so bethesda screws up big on fallout76 we get it but their nowhere near as bad as EA pumps out and besides bethesda had panic button delivered 2 great games on the switch doom and wolfenstein 2 cant wait for doom eternal.
Do your own market research, Bandai Namco.
Xbox and Sony fans are NEVER asked to Port Beg, but Nintendo fans always are (even with a system that is selling like hotcakes).
I enjoyed Tekken Tag 2 on the WiiU and Soul Calibur 2 on the GameCube, but not enough to beg. The Switch install base is justification enough, in my opinion, for a release.
Besides, the Switch has plenty of other fighters. Also, Mortal Kombat is right around the corner. I will just spend my money elsewhere.
Another game where you can get beat by a guy just mashing buttons next to you. And then comes the Tekken army who swear that it actually requires a ton of skill. Bleh to this underwhelming series.
I'm surprised they haven't already, considering the support Bandai Namco has been giving the Switch. I would definitely be down to have another popular fighting game on the platform!
Nah, I already got it for PS4. How about we keep the Switch up to date and give it a simultaneous Tekken 8 release? The Switch has enough, out of date ports. It’s earned the right to hang with the big boys now.
¯(ツ)/¯
The sound of my indifference
Yes!!! Please bring Tekken to the Switch!
Bamco please get over yourself. You could say this before the switch launched. You could even say it year one...now? Switch owners don’t have to port beg. If you can port the game port it. Otherwise please sit down.
That being said I would rather have TTT2, SCIIHD and SC6. None of which we shall get.
No, you release Tekken 7 on Nintendo Switch & beg us to buy it, Katsuhiro Harada. He's delusional if he thinks we will beg for a port of a 3 year old game when we are getting great exclusive games without any begging. At this rate Tekken 8 will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
We do realize that Namco doesn’t just hand sacks of cash of money to anyone, right? “Port Begging” is really just a way to help convince the big wigs to fund the project.
If it does come to Switch, Eevee better be playable
Meh, Tekken 7 isn't very good. The super meter mechanic ruined the game in my opinion and even without it, it just feels like such a downgrade from Tekken Tag 2.
Come on not that again. They know we want it so either bring the game by this point or stop teasing/taunting us by saying we once again need to show their fan demand.
You think the sale numbers for other fighting games already prove that
@PrincessBowsette
Not really the same thing here
But the other versions have been out for about a year. And they will be a lot cheaper. But a lot of people can't afford 2 consoles so if they bring it to the switch it will be good.
I'm tired of these companies beating around the bush. If Mortal Kombat 11, a current gen game can work on Switch, there's zero reason to be on the fence about one that's almost 4 years old.
Either do it or don't. Enough with the blanket PR statements already.
The sales figures should be enough for developers.
As a fighting games fan I'd buy it.
However, seeing as there is no survey or anything how would they know what 'the fanbase' wants?
Do people just search hashtags ir something nowadays?
This honestly just kind of makes me sad. You're going to give us Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat 11? And yet we can't have Soul Calibur 6? I don't know about you. But I know I as well as a ton of other friends who are using the Nintendo switch we're hoping Soul Calibur 6 would make its way to the console. Most of my friends were talking about that more than Mortal Kombat or Tekken. And that completely fell flat on its face. The fact that we're also not getting jump force? Is extremely disappointing as well. But by all means give us Tekken 7 and a ton of indie games.
Yes yes yes!!!!
Big fan of Tekken 7!!
Would double buy it 1000%
Day one 100%
100% day one.
@Heavyarms55 I Agree. We should simply stop begging for port to switch. Want release their game on switch? great. Doesn`t want: just don`t release. We have plenty of options, its their loss. I'm sick of this crazy idea where switch owners have to beg for games show on their console. I won't buy this game on my xbox and won't buy even if they release on switch. They need to respect switch owners.
@Painay. What game is your profile picture it looks so familiar?
@Mrtoad which I would agree with if he also gave a universal method that would go to him or the management team making the decisions pitch. But hoping that social media is enough of a way to get a sample size for what is already a niche genre is short sighted. It makes his words seem empty. If he was like “here is contact info and multiple way to do so for each region, tell us that you want tekken and at such and such date I will gather your information and take it to corporate”, then I would see his words as a honest attempt to convince his bosses to port the game. Otherwise market polling is Bamco’s job.
When devs ask for fan response but don’t give a cohesive way to give that response it becomes an empty goal post. Also fan outcry isn’t a guarantee either.
Heck they could port TTT2 and say sales will be used as a metric to pitch for Tekken 7/8. That is at least something concrete. Begging in a random fashion just gives a dev an out. “Well we would have but fans didn’t want it. It was in our back pocket the whole time...”
@duhsoares21 There is nothing wrong with us pointing out that we want games. The problem lies with this nonsense idea that developers have that they aren't sure their games will sell on Switch, but they just assume it will sell on other consoles. The Switch is flying off store shelves even closing one 2 years after launch. People are buying the Switch and people are buying games on the Switch. But some developers are acting like it is still 2014 and the Switch is the Wii U and one sells every few days.
My issue is not with Tekken or this studio in particular, but this general BS from many so-called AAA studios that act like people who own Switches are a different species or something.
they are expecting nintendo fans to make campaigns and promote their product in social media for free....
I'd buy it too 100% sure
@Heavyarms55 That is what bothers me. Xbox and Playstation fans doesn't need to point anything. Every game those AAA studios make they release on Xbox and PS without even ask, but when it comes to Switch they just keep asking us to say if we want those games. Just look at third party games sales on switch. They are huge. People can say what they want about EA but they wouldn't be releasing fifa 19 on switch if FIFA 18 had poor sales. I also have nothing agains bandai, I have some of their games and I think they are a great studio, but this stance towards the switch public needs to change in the whole industry. Switch is selling like crazy, they can't just ignore it.
@duhsoares21 It is partly because PS4 and Xbone are basically the same product. They don't have to do almost anything to release a game on both of those platforms. On the Switch, they actually have to put some extra effort into releasing on it. So they question whether it will be worth that extra effort.
That is what upsets me, that they question it still. I do see your point, that PS4 and Xbone owners don't have to ask, but they still do until something is confirmed. Everyone wants the games they like to release on the platform their prefer.
@PolarExperience It's more a Harada thing. I don't think Bandai Namco care about Tekken on the Switch since they are probably going to sell 10 millions copies of Smash Bros Ultimate.
No thanks... In my view, from Tekken 3 to 7, 7 is the worst one. Tag 2 was very good on Wii U, I'd rather them port that again to Switch.
Bring XBox One X patch enhancement first and then we'll talk about a Switch port. Because you know, respect for the fans is sometimes more important than sales.
@Koudai1979 Nice broken image you got there
Hell yeah, I last played on my PS3 I would love for a switch port
@CharlieSmile tabled. Likely cancelled.
@westman98 smash isn't a traditional fighting game.
Please Namco bring Tekken 7 or any other Tekken or Soul Calibur on Nintendo Switch!!!! It would makes better than the Wiiu Tekken anyway in therm of sales!!! Thanks for Tales of Vesperia and bring some others games!!!
Day one buy for me.
I've been playing Tekken since the first entry in the ps1. Then a new version releases I'm typically first in line to grab it. If it is in arcades I'm there playing it, at least when I could find an arcade. I have tekken 7 on PS4. I have my arcade sticks for ps4/PC. I'm not looking to mod or replace anymore hardware till 2020. I loved playing tekken 5 and 6 on my psp and vita, but to be honest I didn't do it enough to justify the cost.
So here is where I stand with most fighters on switch: Not interested.
If they release it I'll be waiting a while before I get it and chances are tekken 8 or some other fighter will have my attention. Right now that's Soul Calibur 6. Soon it'll be mortal Kombat. Ultimately I feel like the majority of fans have the same feeling.
As far as the switch is concerned. It should get a release if the cost has return. I don't think it has one on switch. I think switch owners would very much prefer to have something new. Not something most have finished and shrugged off.
@NotSoCryptic
And not being a traditional fighting game means what exactly??
Nobody plays Smash for its platforming.
@westman98 silly question. It has a lot to do with it. The mechanics and core game play are vastly different. While fighting games fans may enjoy smash, the overlap is small. It's like expecting Castlevania to play like Mario. They might as well be different genres. No body plays smash because it is complex and requires a deep knowledge of combos, moves, counters, or frame data. It has more in common with PlayStation all Stars battle Royale or streets of rage than tekken 7.
So your justification that a celebration of gaming like smash is something to be held in the same light is a little silly.
Nothing wrong with smash, and it should have it's own tournaments. However you won't see that same success from any other fighter. Keep in mind that the fighting genre has been constantly pulled back from the abyss several times now. It still fails to do the kind of numbers most AAA games do.
@PrincessBowsette not just Fallout 76. Fallout 3 and NV were buggy messes as was Skyrim. Almost all of their releases are basically paid betas.
@Knuckles-Fajita because tekkan on the WIIU barely sold 40k copies.
Oooohhh. So he's stupid.
I love me some tekken. I'd buy it, no question.
I grew up playing Tekken and I have always loved the series but there is no denying how disappointed I was in Tekken 7. I think it was way too focused on the competitive gaming aspect and it came at the expense of the casual single player experience. A real shame because I was really looking forward to it, but that is why I honestly don't care for it at all.
Tekken 7 on Switch would be awesome. The netcode would need to be great though.
It's obvious that this game would sell well on Switch. Probably the best of all platforms.
@CharlieSmile the lukewarm reception to SFxTekken kind of shut the door on that one sadly.
@gaby_gabito
same here, the only real comparison for this id say would be Dead or Alive or Virtua Fighter. we don't have either of those, so id be down for this. I am a PC / Switch gamer currently. and atm portability for the win.
@SaturnHero 1000% agree, id even be down for VF5 come on SEGA do it, and give me Sega rally , monkey ball and Virtual On also
I thought I wanted this game. Tekken Tag Team was one of my favorite games on the Wii U. But reading about Tekken 7, it sounds like they took the previous game, stripped out a lot of the characters, hollowed out the single player, and made it all about on-line. At this point, I'm not sure I have any interest in it.
@Jawessome 😢
I hate to say it but I wouldn't purchase it... but I hope those that want it get it. I know a few people that would probably purchase it. I just want to see all the games on the Switch!
I'd rather a new Switch exclusive ... MACE The Dark Age
@Anti-Matter @all what's wrong with his comment? It's his opinion and he did not say it's a bad series. Downvotes are for trolls only. Merry Christmas everyone!
Rather have a port of the arcade Ridge Racer games *Rave Racer would be ace!*or a brand new/or remakes of the Pac-Man World games
Please put Tekken 7 on Switch.
It will be hard for me to beg for this title since I already got it on Xbone.... And I got it for $25.....Doubtful that I will double dip.
@subpopz We may have not begged for MK11 in the same way but Ed Boon also gauged interest for the game on Nintendo Switch on Twitter over a year ago. Also, Bandai Namco did the same for DBFZ. I'm not saying it's okay but it's definitely not a new trend unfortunately.
Harada is one of the chillest dudes in the industry, especially when it comes to Nintendo support.
I received Pokkén as a gift, like, two days away from Smash (ouch), but I'm d e f i n i t e l y going to check it out as soon as I get close to completing(-ish) the game.
@smashboy2000 EXACTLY! How can he talk about a switch port yet the guy shut down the xbox one x patch! That patch was even listed in the past on the OFFICIAL xbox one x compatibility list but then they removed it. a switch port would be a punch in the face for all xbox one x tekken players.
Well, every fan wants EVERY game on EVERY system, but doesn't mean we'll get it. Our interest shouldn't have to generate hype, it should be the other way around. Do it, or don't... I have plenty to play, but quit with the teasing, it's jumped the shark way too much lately.
I don't really understand what this means. I mean Nintendo fans typically overloads any online support surveys and none of that matters. How do you show support for a product that doesn't and won't exist?
Yes yes yes—please come to Switch, Tekken!
(You, too, Soul Calibur.)
Soul Blade and Soul Calibur 1 and 2. You can keep your Tekken games.
Nintendo has Smash; don’t think we need Tekken. At all.
Harada! Please release a HD Collection of TEKKEN through TEKKEN 6 excluding TTT and TTT2!
No no no. A year ago I could understand this. The shadow of the Wii U loomed large. But now this is poor. The system is selling very well. Owners shouldn’t have to beg.
@CharlieSmile I heard it was still being worked on. There was some news about it the other day.
"Producer and lifeblood of the series, Katsuhiro Harada, shared that yes, Tekken x Street Fighter is not completely canceled and is still on hold. This is the same game announced back in 2010 along with Street Fighter X Tekken (which did come out) and put on ice in 2016, mind. While we knew that much already, he explains that development is "roughly 30% done." Harada also openly acknowledges the possibility of another season pass (a scheme Capcom recently dumped for Street Fighter V) and a Switch port for Tekken 7." destructoid
Get over yourself! You better be begging fans to buy it!
@Knuckles-Fajita
I would assume its because they would like to see how many people would buy it. If they port it just so like 50k copies get sold, wouldn't that be a loss on their part?
Note: I'm not big on fighting games, much less 3D fighters like Tekken or Soul Cal (though I have an interest in Pokken), so I wouldn't care much if we got Tekken on the Switch.
@jaymacx Well Street X Tekken was such a disaster, in term of sales and in term of the game itself... It's not hard to guess why it's on hold.
@CharlieSmile i know right, it's missing in action and im pretty sure it will come after soul caliber now..
@CharlieSmile don't be a meanie lol
@CharlieSmile i'm not well you have a nice day
Yes please bring Tekken 7 to the switch!!!
@DrScale yeah they need more big title games on the switch now because we are getting mostly indie titles and stuff.
@mikegamer Sorry about that. I fixed it.
@Koudai1979 Not really, it's still broken, just show a link to it instead
@mikegamer That's strange. I must be doing something wrong with that BB code or whatever it's called.
Anyway, you posted a comment using the word "pusillanimous", so I tried to reply with a pic from my imgur account of Chu from YuYu Hakusho saying "Don't go on confusing me with big words!" Lol
Edit: I went to my imgur and changed the picture's setting from private to public. I'm not sure if that'll work, though.
OMGOMGOMG. If Tekken 7 is released on Nintendo Switch, Ill buy 3 copies and post the receipt in the thread. Got my WORD
@Specter_of-the_OLED just saying but I think TEKKEN 7 probably couldn't run on Switch at all.
The base PS4 and Xbox One resolutions are at like between 720p to 864p and at 60 FPS. I am pretty sure Switch couldn't handle it
@Mokujerm Unlikely and also TEKKEN 7 couldn't run on Switch.
The game is not even at 1080p on base PS4 and Xbox One. Both consoles are at between 720p to 864p resolution for TEKKEN 7.
@anoyonmus That's like saying Tekken 6 couldn't run on PSP cause it couldn't handle 720p 60fps. A game doesn't need to rely on better graphics or performance to be ported to any system, it just needs to be made.
@Specter_of-the_OLED that’s not what I meant. If the Xbox One and PS4 versions can’t even hit 1080p for TEKKEN 7, then how will the Switch version will fair? It’s gonna look even worse than most Switch games to borderline terrible and performance wise will be terrible (30 fps in a fighting game???? Not acceptable at all). I would rather have them not port TEKKEN 7 because it will be very very compromised. Seriously not joking at all. 720p resolution is pretty low for a more powerful console than the Switch like a Xbox One or PS4. So if the resolution on Xbox one and PS4 is about 720p to 900p, what will be the Switch version resolution be? It will be not HD and a much lower resolution and will be blurry on handheld mode
That being said, I hope they could at the very least port TEKKEN 6 to Switch or the one on Wii U
@anoyonmus Well if those are lazy ports then it's obvious Harada ain't doing a good job with the game and thus no Switch port would make sense or they could make a good Switch version, then port it back to the HD consoles and polish from there. Not sure why they didn't go that route, it would had work out better. Tekken: Dark Resurrection was a PSP game which runs better than the actual Tekken 5 for PS2. Namco then port Dark Resurrection to console making it the better version of the two Tekken 5.
