Happy with my neon blue and red controllers (4). If anything I'm thinking pro controller, especially after picking up NBA 2K18.

Soft pass. The only remaining must-buys for me through the end of the year are Mario, Xenoblade, and Doom.

I'm midway through world 3 and the game does get tougher. It'll be a while before I visit these challenges and I already bought the DLC

Makes sense from the developer's standpoint. The move from mobile to Switch = better profit margins. Why charge $5 when you can charge $13, amirite?

Edit: Turns out it was a Steam game before a mobile game. Hmm, maybe worth checking out.

I got the DLC early because I love turn based games and figured I'd dive into it. Honestly though, I wish would've bought another awesome eShop title instead.

Anything that is not Mario Odyssey is going to take a back seat to this.

It's been long enough since BotW, that I'm ready for another big, meaty RPG.

Personally I love the attempt to widen the audience. A huge draw is taking the traditional console experience on the go. Excluding M rated games would really dent the narrative.

Recently finished Thimbleweed Park. Good, but kind of exhausting. It's about a 7 for me.

Going to progress through Mario+Rabbids and Golf Story this weekend.

Check out Metacritic across all platforms. The user reviews are brutal. I guess they didn't wait until patch day.

It still bothers me that this game wasn't judged for what it was on day one. The ridiculously huge save game files also bother me.

That being said, I might still pick this up because I'm just that desperate for a sports game on Switch.

Eh...don't feel the need, now that I have Golf Story.

Looks cool, but its limited color palette is throwing me off.

Looks good, but it'll have to be great to merit a purchase in October.

Fortunately, there's enough titles coming to the Switch, there's really no reason to pick anything up that's not absolutely stellar.

Turn based strategy is my favorite genre so I'll definitely be checking this out. Hopefully it's good.

@GraveLordXD while you're not wrong, you're also cherry picking. User reviews across all platforms on Metacritic hasn't eclipsed a 6. Steam reviews over the past 30 days are still collectively classified as "mixed." Adding that to your rosier picture of a 70+% rating is how I arrived at "mediocre."

Cool concept and it looks good, but this game got pretty mediocre reviews on Steam and Metacritic.

Golf Story jumped in and took Star Dew's formerly reserved slot for me. I'll come back for it later... probably after Odyssey though.

I'm ok with it. I'd say my tolerance for dying frequently is lower in platformers than other game types.

Eh...just when I'm about to pull the trigger for Amiibo, I realize I could pick up another indie title for the same price. Just isn't for me I guess.

@SetupDisk Totally! I'm actually super pumped to start a fresh run with all the new DLC in place. Hopefully it'll be bundled together to begin with.

I've bitten off more than I can chew currently. Will keep this on my short list though.

Ready to triple dip. This game pushes all the right buttons for me, from the punishing gameplay to the Lovecraft-inspired design. Great game and perfect match for the Switch!

Fire Emblem is getting the shaft because of it's close release date to Odyssey. I'll likely only get FE if it absolutely crushes its reviews scores, which I don't expect.

Definitely Mario Odyssey. Probably LA Noir, though I need to finish Thimbleweed Park first (another mystery game). I'm all over the Batman game.

Will probably skip Skyrim since Xenoblade is just around the corner too.

So many good choices though, I love it.

@BustedUpBiker pretty sure you can turn rumble off in the settings. I can see why you might not want to do that though.

ARMS is pretty much just a party/co-op game in my house. I play it a little more than Snipperclips. Still glad I purchased it though.
