Trine Enchanted Edition hits the Nintendo Switch eShop today, and developer Forzenbyte has revealed that the second and third games are also coming to the console in the fullness of time.
We already had a hunch that Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power was on its way thanks to an entry on the German ratings board, but it will also be joined by the second game, Trine 2: Complete Story. Release dates are yet to be confirmed for both these games, although we do know that BlitWorks is handling the porting duties.
We also know that Trine 4 - which is currently in development - is also headed to Switch, which means you'll be able to play the entire saga on Nintendo's hybrid wonder. Now that's magic.

Maybe I'll try to triple dip for this serie. Excellent games!! I recommend.
On the watch list it goes. I'd grab it but I have waaaaaay too much to play and have already splurged on a few games today so I'll wait for a sale.
Day 1 on sale for each game, but this will be the 3rd time buying them. Except for the third.
There not that good tbh.
Good lordy those are some pretty graphics. Wasn't sure if Switch could run Trine 3 but here we are, and I'm not complaining!
Looks crazy, is it a mutli-player? Or can you play solo?
Blimey. How good is the Switch catalogue becoming!?!
@Bunkerneath You can play the Trine Series both solo and Multiplayer. The first two Games can even be played online.
might buy on sale. Most of these ports are too expensive considering their age and constant sales/giveaways on other platforms
I've never played Trine 3, but part 1 and 2 are really fun
@Bunkerneath I don't know about multiplayer, but I thought the whole idea of Trine was that you switch between the characters when you need their special abilities, Lost Vikings style, except the inactive characters aren't present (the controlled character literally becomes someone else).
Should have done a combo pack with 1 + 2.
"which means you'll be able to play the entire saga on Nintendo's hybrid wonder.", aka one of the best lines one can ever read in gaming news.
is this an updated trine1 or something?
i've played a bit and don't remember anything like in that trailer. did they completely redo trine1 at some point?
Online co-op voice chat? Like the Wii u?
any word on price in the states?
Keep flogging that horse.
FYI.. from what I have read, Trine 3 is quite a departure from the original formula and effectively unfinished. I haven't played it, so I can't judge, just be aware.
These games are great, and beautiful! I didn't get that far, though. Probably would have kept my interest better with two players.
I might pick these up, but they tend to be more interesting to look at than play in my opinion...
Stuff just gets released randomly every single day on the switch, it's crazy. This wasn't even announced before today I don't think.
Still dungeon crawling in D3. Only way I wake up from this trance is if I get Smashed out of it.
Will definitely be getting all three, spent many hours on Trine 2 on the Wii U and loved it.
#4 on Switch is an almost guarantee buy. But really have no need for #1 again. Maybe #3 🤔
Steam is running a sale for all 3 games for $8. Kinda perfect for people with a GPD WIN2

I'll grab 3 (based on NL's review) and 4 (if it's more like the first two). I'm sticking to my no double dipping policy on games I've already purchased on Wii U and I have both Trine 1&2 on Wii U.
Pretty games, but the sloppy gameplay is a real turn-off.
Seriously why not just release a compilation of all 3 games just like how Naruto and Mercenaries Saga did? It doesn't even had to be physical (though would be great if it was).
Stupid question maybe but can you play thru solo? See alot of promotions saying multiplayer online and local co-op. Just wana make sure I can run thru alone
Enjoyed the 2nd Trine on Wii U.
Loved 9 Parchments on Switch (by the same group, shares on character).
I plan on getting the 3rd one, and maybe I'll get the first...though I'd probably wait for a steep sale?
@nintendobynature - Yes, you can play solo or co-op. I found the games to be better played Solo as they are puzzle based, and it can be hard to do puzzles as a team.
@cyrus_zuo thanks my man!
Common eShop what happened to Physical version.
Nice just like I asked ...all 3
Wowww all 3 yes! Loved it
@Stargazer I was about to say that. I never got all the fuss around these games. They look great but have pretty terrible to mediocre gameplay imo. I'm glad that these games are available for those who want them but they're a bit overpriced imo
Good news. I enjoyed 2
I’ve nearly completed trine 1 twice. Got distracted by other things years ago and have the collection on PS4 so I’ll just play them there
