I'm totally enjoying my Switch, but I gotta be honest...Feels like ages since we got real news from Nintendo. And I don't really count the cardboard announcement, at least for me personally. E3 is so far away.
Sounds cool. Is there anywhere you can preview what these books actually look like on the inside? A preliminary Google search didn't yield very many results.
Kirby or nothing! Guess it's nothing... Actually going back and doing some BotW DLC. Haven't dabbled in much more than the main campaign for Mario Odyssey either, so there's that.
Playing Batman: The Telltale Series Season 1, and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. It's like a digital Choose Your Own Adventure novel, and I love Batman lore.
@NEStalgia Absolutely. Since the latest patch, I have breezed through many areas that previously gave me trouble. A very nice change, that will likely incentivize further replays from me. I'm also excited for Wolfenstein. The fact that ID has revitalized these two IPs is a beautiful thing. Now we just need a Commander Keen reboot.
I was close to picking up Bayonetta, but as someone with kids, I just haven't been able to get comfortable with the idea of openly playing it. So it's a pass for me.
@Nincompoop Actually most esport pros would disagree with you on the fattest car rationale, since the vast majority of them use the default model. That being said, most are probably not playing on the Switch either.
I’m totally picking this up for the tumbler though. Nolan’s bat flicks are my fav!
Fun game that I still have on my phone. Could be wrong, but I don't think having it on Switch will truly elevate the gameplay experience. Games like Arena of Valor definitely. This not so much.
I haven't tried any of these Warrior games yet. Should I get this one or wait for Hyrule Warriors? I value gameplay and replayability over nostalgia and story.
Splatoon 2 and Doom have both convinced me I'm more about the single player experience. WiFi is pretty "meh" on the Switch, and it's not like it's very convenient when you're on the go anyway. If there's a solid campaign, I could see myself picking up a COD game.
Interested to see how a Baldur's Gate type game like this converts to the console. A quality WRPG is very much welcome. It's nothing like Diablo or Titan's Quest for people who are wondering.
Suppose the sale did happen. What would prevent Microsoft from making a bunch of EA titles exclusive to the Xbox and PC? I mean, you can see what Sony has done with MLB The Show. Can you imagine if the same happened to Madden?
@formulas666 I would disagree. The black lines on the top and bottom of the ipad feel pretty bad. Plus you can't plug it into your TV screen. Sure, the controls feel a bit challenging at first blush...but they make sense to me after conducting a few runs.
@Geeks4Life Felt the same way until I learned all the available systems inside and out. Is there RNG outside your control at times? Yes. But that's how it is in real life as well, and sometimes the best you can do is strategically prepare yourself within the existing restraints you're operating under. If you're able to accept that, you'll be able to appreciate what is offered here. If not, it's probably not for you.
Reviews and footage haven't been impressive. Maybe I'll check it out when there's a sale, but frankly the Switch's lineup has been so good that anything short of stellar is kind of a disappointment.

Re: Battle Chasers: Nightwar Approved For Nintendo Switch, Release Date Still To Come
@Bunkerneath combat is turn-based (old-school Final Fantasy style)
Re: Battle Chasers: Nightwar Approved For Nintendo Switch, Release Date Still To Come
Ah yes, waiting for this game has been just like waiting for each issue back in the day. Mr. Joe Mad, you haven't changed.
Re: Amazon Germany Lists Project Octopath Traveler For August Release On Switch
@inktivate I just have to say, I totally respect your avatar. I would love a supergiant games collection on the Switch.
Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Will Get A Retail Release (But It'll Cost You $60)
Planning to pass on this. There are plenty of cheaper platformers on the Switch that more than hold their own.
Re: Soapbox: My Nintendo's Updated Rewards Scheme Is Anything But Rewarding
It would actually be an improvement to have nothing. Makes you wonder how many full-time employees manage this rewards program.
Re: Sounds Like Blizzard Really Is Porting Diablo 3 To Switch (Even Though It Said It Wasn't)
I've definitely played this one to death already. I would likely continue to do so on Switch too.

My favorites of the year:

Zelda DLC and Mario DLC

Re: Metacritic Ranks Nintendo Second In Its 2017 Game Publisher Rankings
Sega is 3rd? That's surprising.

Yes, but will it increase the game's performance? 😀

@cyrus_zuo Golf Story can't maintain your interest? To each their own, but you're the first person I've heard that from.

Re: Bleed 2 Is Coming To Switch This March
Maybe the best subheader NL has come up with yet.
Re: Splatoon 2 Makes A Splash In The Top Three In This Week's Japanese Charts
@Nico87 Yep, that's what I do with Doom. Still, something different more about Bayonetta. This sums it up nicely, though maybe it's more of an argument to go ahead and get it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/motherboard.vice.com/amp/en_us/article/mb5pvv/the-nintendo-switch-is-great-for-playing-games-youre-ashamed-of
Re: Panic Button Hints That More Nintendo Switch Ports Are In The Pipeline
Love that these Panic Button guys have showed up. Doom and Rocket League are a huge part of the third-party support. At least they are to me.

Re: Guide: Payday 2 FAQ - Everything You Need To Know About The Co-Op Heist Shooter
I was curious about this when it was first announced a while ago...and then we were given DOOM. Expectations have changed.
Re: New DOOM Update Adds Motion Controls On Nintendo Switch
I've been playing a lot of Doom recently, so this works out great for me.
Re: Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut Will Slash Its Way Onto The Switch eShop Next Month

Re: Look, Capcom Knows You Really Want Monster Hunter World On Switch
Capcom, you're dead to me...at least until the Street Fighter collection comes out!
Re: Lots Of Developers At Square Enix Want To Make Games For Switch, Says President And CEO
More talk.
Re: Nintendo Believes That The Switch Could Sell Beyond The Usual 5-6 Year Console Life Cycle
If that means we'll get another Zelda on the same machine, that'd be pretty sweet.
Re: Review: Owlboy (Switch eShop)
Will get eventually. Looks more interesting to me than Celeste.
Re: Soapbox: What Happened To All The Great Baseball Games On Nintendo Consoles?
Thanks for writing this. I wholeheartedly agree! For me, MLB The Show is the one exclusive that actually hurts not having.
Re: Fire Emblem Warriors' Second DLC Pack Will Be Released Next Week
I haven't tried any of these Warrior games yet. Should I get this one or wait for Hyrule Warriors? I value gameplay and replayability over nostalgia and story.

Re: Mobile RPG Seven Knights Is Now In Development For Nintendo Switch
Simply put - I didn't buy a Switch to play phone games. Particularly when I typically need to pay $10-$30 more for the same game. No thank you.
Re: Rumour: Call Of Duty 2018 Could Be Black Ops 4, And It Might Be Headed To Switch
I'm encouraged by the rumor, but will likely wait on reviews before pulling the trigger.
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For February And March
Kirby for sure (even though I'm a little surprised it's a premium-priced game). Maybe Bayonetta.
Re: News: Fire Emblem Heroes' First Anniversary Update Detailed by Nintendo
Eh, it’s pretty fair for a F2P game. Unfortunately it’s just repetitive and kind of boring after a while.
Re: Rumour: Get That Pinch Of Salt Ready, Apparently Microsoft Is Preparing To Buy Electronic Arts

Re: Video: Square Enix Discusses The Response To Project Octopath Traveler
I haven't played the demo but I heard really good things. On the short list of RPGs to check out this year.
Re: EVO Japan Trailer For SNK Heroines Turns The Fan Service Up To Eleven
Nope. Maybe the Street Fighter collection or Smash when it's inevitably announced though.
