Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins Will Run At A "Fixed" 30fps On Switch 2

Ramouz

@OmnitronVariant I was thinking about that and wanted to reply here about how CRTs/old TVs behaved differently with low FPS. I was about to state that it's potentially due to the old screens compared to the new ones we have now, where having 60 is vastly superior.
Thanks for confirming it .

Re: Yooka-Replaylee Runs At 30fps On Switch 2, Team Investigating Performance Mode

Ramouz

I tried the demo on Xbox Series X and it was great. High FPS, no issues. Excited for the full game since I loved the first one (first two actually but referring to the 3D platformer one). I'll skip the Switch 2 version then, simple.

You know, Nintendo keeps doing things that make me go "ok, I'll just get it on Steam/Xbox/GOG/laptop". Their loss. Obviously, exclusives must be purchased on Switch 2, but the rest, what's the point if it runs worse or is more expensive?

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Ramouz

I honestly don't understand how others found the demo/test amazing.

I played it on both Switch 2 and Series X (way better on Series X).

The gameplay or at least the maps seem like it can be fun but the way they drive/handle is badly done. Poorly made. So much that I won't be buying this. Mario Kart (any of them) is way superior. Even the Nickelodeon one is superior.
Sonic All Stars Transformed was way better. It actually feels like they are separate teams working on this.
I'm actually really saddened by this as I was really looking forward to having a remake of Transformed or a new one similar to it. I am still hoping the test was to gather our feedback and that they'd fix the handling and driving.

Re: The Adorable 'Lil Gator Game' Is Getting A "Huge" Expansion In 2026

Ramouz

Played it all, 100% if I recall completely, on Xbox Series X. Game Pass, to be precise. I do want to buy it but I'll wait for the DLC and buy both together.

Super fun game. Addicting. One of those games where you just don't want to play anything else since this one is so easy to start and play (Quick Resume really helps with that on Xbox) that you just feel like resuming it. Not being a chore to play really helps.

Re: Mario Tennis Fever Hits Switch 2 Next February

Ramouz

@tourjeff A lot of their Switch games felt abandoned unfortunately.. Not all though. Aces is fun, Mario Golf Super Rush as well. Switch Sports can be fun but they need to add more to it.
I'm not liking what they're doing though. Charge full price for games, not a lot of content, then launch another one in a few years. I'm not going to support that anymore.

Their lack of patches/content updates is shocking considering most companies are now adding lots of content post-launch and are surpassing Nintendo (have surpassed actually).

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Is Getting A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Ramouz

Happy to see fun multiplayer co-op content! It will improve this game.
I didn't really like the main game, unfortunately. It was okay in single player. Didn't like it in multiplayer. I found it strange and not as fun as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (can never remember the full name of this), which is way more fun.

That talking flower freaks me out for some reason. Its voice as well.
I think maybe it freaks me out due to its voice. It sounds like a human adult's voice rather than a cartoon character.
I'm also freaked out by the fact that they're adding that flower in Mario Tennis Fever.

Re: Ubisoft Releasing Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 Demo "Later This Year"

Ramouz

I need the demo now to decide if I go for the much superior PC version or Switch 2 (thanks to portability and motion, otherwise I'd consider the superior Series X version).

I hope their "later this year" means 2 weeks.

The demo already exists on other platforms. I tried it. I even rented the full game on Series X from the library but decided I want to buy it after playing a few hours.
The game seems amazing.

Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port

Ramouz

@Teksette I totally understand your point.

I personally don't mind signing in since I have Ubisoft Connect everywhere and I have coins (points) in there thanks to playing their games, which gives free in-game items for any of their games, etc., and even 20% off any game on their website if you reach 100 coins.

I like the way they did it though. You download their app (Xbox, etc.), and sign in there. From now on, any game you play on that console, you're automatically signed in.

Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Updated For Switch 2 And Switch (Version 2.2.0)

Ramouz

This game should never have been launched on the Switch 1 since S1 had 2 Mario Party games already.
It should have been launched on the Switch 2 with S2 graphics. Having the non-TV version lower res on the Switch 2 isn't normal for us who paid for the upgrade.

That first changelog point is really confusing and I don't understand it. Did they miss adding the word Switch 1 in there?

Re: Reminder: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds 'Open Network Test' For Switch Is Now Live

Ramouz

Tried it on both Switch 2 and Xbox Series X.
Obviously better on Series X. I really hope that's the Switch 1 version, otherwise, it looks terrible and runs poorly with lower framerate. I would prefer getting it on the Xbox either way since it's a superior machine.

Anyways, sadly, the gameplay isn't the best. The driving is poor and feels like an arcade game. Transformed was way better and I always hope they can relaunch that game in a "definitive edition" with improved graphics and such.

Shocking how people are saying this is better than Mario Kart World. They almost sound like they're paid. Yes, this game has some nice elements but the way it plays is poor. I really, really hope they delay the launch of this and improve the way it drives/plays. Otherwise, it feels geared at children and not that fun. Too bad, was really looking forward to this.

Re: Video: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is A Dream On Switch 2 - Here's Our Side-By-Side Comparison

Ramouz

It only looks a bit better, obviously smoother, and of course sharper due to resolution bump. I'm not sure if they added AA or not, but, I was hoping for a bit more. Maybe some more details, more grass here and there, etc., especially since they're charging for this, and quite a lot (29.99 here in Canada).

This is the definitive way to play this and how it should have been in the beginning but it unfortunately was out on the rubbish Switch 1 first. Glad we're done with that now but the price should be half due to only 12 extra levels.

Re: First Footage Of Elden Ring Running On Switch 2 Appears Online

Ramouz

@Paulo It's a sad thought but a real one and one that Nintendo does not care about. Otherwise, docked mode would have been twice or three times the performance while undocked would have been like now. They did not care to do that, unfortunately, so we must keep using other consoles or PC.
