1. You don’t know we’re not getting a full direct. I believe we will at some point, as Nintendo likes to announce these things at short notice.
2. I didn’t ask you to justify my purchase.
3. I didn’t say I was unhappy with it.

A prolonged advert for a game I’m already gonna buy. We need an actual direct so we can see why we bought a Switch 2 at launch.

This is a damn tech demo, who’s going to 100% it? Honestly thought people had more common sense than getting up in arms about as something as inconsequential as this.

@speed_loafer ah, not on this occasion! Pessimistic about many things but I have been looking forward to the console. Regardless of the constant discourse around pricing and people crying that they’re not allowed to mod it, I’m just looking forward to playing more games.

‘Dire’ and ‘pessimism’ are both negative connotations but that’s about all they have in common. I wouldn’t say they’re the linked.

TL;DR - independent, unauthorised console repair service has an opinion.

What are you people actually looking to do here? Mod your consoles to install emulators? Pirate software instead of paying for it? What do you expect to happen?
Use your gaming system to play your video games as intended and there won’t be a problem.

@Oldstalk I cannot get on board with referring to Game Key Cards as a physical release. It just doesn’t make sense if you need the internet to download and play the software.

@YAT I’m not saying I agree with it, but ‘Switch tax’ has been a thing for the entire previous generation, so your Rune Factory comparison doesn’t surprise me at all. Also people don’t buy Nintendo products for the performance or boundary-pushing graphics. Thats been commonplace since the days of the Wii. Buy a PC if you care about that.

@Axecon and I completely understand the shock! I’m not thrilled about it either, especially as a predominately physical collector. The price chat has just exhausted all possible variation in conversation; writing the same thing over and over and over again is pointless.
Buying the bundle with the digital game included really is a no brainer, considering the difference in price. They’ll shift plenty of consoles with this and I’m sure it will be very lucrative for Nintendo.

@Bizaster Really? Price chat is getting really boring now. It’s too much of course, but it’s also draining any sense of enjoyable anticipation about this game. Either buy it or don’t - posting it in NintendoLife comment sections isn’t achieving anything.

They openly claim plagiarism without explicitly using that word, but don’t like it when they’re compared… Huh.

You can always get them cheaper from 3rd party retailers. This won’t be a problem.

Have said it before and I’ll say it again - I really dislike these two leeches. The only place I actually ever hear about them is through this site and I wish they would stop getting any kind of coverage or exposure.
I also disagree entirely with what they say. For me, the “ex-Nintendo staff” badge of honour means nothing because they have no new insight, just their lousy opinions.

@Wakkawipeout I preordered roasted quail 4 years ago and I’m still waiting.

I’ve been a customer since their first Switch release - Fox n Forests - and I can quite confidently say that they have been absolutely s**t these past couple of years. If they didn’t publish so many shoot em ups then I wouldn’t have bothered. Still waiting on half a dozen games I paid for (at least) over 12 months ago.
