They can increase the price because they’ve printed more cards in recent years than they ever have. Thanks to embarrassing YouTubers hyping them up as an ‘investment’, this can only be an even more profitable avenue for TPC.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft begged Nintendo to take the game, rather than Nintendo wanting it particularly, given the high user base that the Switch currently has.

It also sticks two fingers up to Sony, as their tweet has also highlighted. And that’s always funny, I guess.

Tired of seeing ‘Metroidvania’ and ‘souls-like’ together now. It honestly feels like every second indie game is a crossover of these two things.

This game is brilliant

Super disappointed but absolutely not surprised. The Pokemon games have simply not been able to keep up with the change in technology and always feel a generation (or three) behind.

Do the franchise justice and let Monolith Soft have a go.

@sixrings Sonic Frontiers actually came to Switch, albeit in a pretty butchered state. There will be other, more essential, games that won’t be playable on Switch unless there’s a hardware upgrade. And it needs to come much sooner than in 5 years time.

The ‘chibi’ style characters on the maps look pretty rubbish eh. Bad design choice.
Will probably wait for a big old sale for this one.

@RupeeClock as others have said, create a US account with another email address and you can then redeem the code. I’ve done it for the Megaman Legacy Collections for example, works nae bother 👍🏻

This sounds like they’re trying to hype up potential investors to back them and that they have no clue what it will be. “Multiverse” is overused, so let’s go with “super game” instead 😪
This game is still a long way from release so who knows what will be popular then.

@B_BIackNinja_N I’m happy to be proven wrong! And honestly, I would like Frontiers to be good, but Sonic’s track record in 3D games is shockingly bad, so I’m keeping my expectations firmly in check.

It’s not like Breath of the Wild at all, because that’s a great game and this one is made by Sonic Team.

@ChopperDX if there’s a way to improve something, then I find it impossible to agree with the statement ‘it is what it is’.
Listing the additional item would be a very simple and easy way to improve things.

@RupeeClock it would at least be better if they specified what the ‘bonus gift’ was. I know on the homepage right now it says there’s a Steelbook, but look at any other game that mentions a free gift and you’d be hard pressed to know what it actually is!

That’s also disappointing. Sounds like I’m not missing out on much. Will keep an eye on eBay though to see if any surface at a reasonable price. Cheers!

Wtf are they doing on that website? The Xenoblade 3 thing was an utter shambles and it seems like they haven’t learned from their mistakes at all.
I’ve been fortunate enough over the years to preorder pretty much everything I’ve wanted from them, but they’ve really been taking the p*ss the last few months.

I cancelled my Bayo 3 with MNS due to the Xenoblade 3 situation then I found out later that they were shipping Bayo 3 with an exclusive Steelbook… Would’ve kept the order if I’d actually known that, but their website is abysmal.

Standard job/class stuff really. Would like to see a bit more innovation here.

@YoshiF2 Maiden of Black Water rerelease wasn’t published by Nintendo, so I’m only guessing it’ll be the same with this?

@Zenszulu see my comment above. No one needs to pay extravagant eBay prices if you just preorder it before 13th November… It’s that simple.

Lots of whinging here.
1. The input lag is only 5 frames. In my opinion it’s barely noticeable and does not hinder the game in any way.
2. All editions are open pre-order. You have until 13th November to place an order for any of the versions.
3. It’s really not THAT long a wait for the game to be released. Generally 6 - 9 months. Maybe longer for the proper collectors edition.

I’m sure the Xenoblade 3 Collectors Edition would be here if:
1. It contained the software
2. There were actually more than 100 or so copies of it

What the actual f***. How were we supposed to know it was going back up for order? Last I heard they had removed the listing completely from the site so it wasn’t even possible to check for stock.
I can’t refresh it every minute of every day in the off chance that it’s there… This is an absolute mess.

I’ve been refreshing my emails on and off since 20th September when their initial email said they would open orders “very soon”.
They then send this one out 2 minutes after I entered a meeting for work which lasted an hour. So of course I missed it. Absolutely shocking man, such bad service.

After the utter failure of the Wii U, they’ve turned their fortune around exponentially. Would be a terrible business decision to drop this concept for the next system, whatever that may be!

@AndyVGR look at him at any kind of convention. You can tell he absolutely loves what he does and he completely embodies the characters he plays.
I don’t think there’s any chance he was offered. Hollywood probably just want to attach a big name to get some more people to come see it.

My favourite memory is when Nintendo shafted him in favour of Chris Pratt. (Seriously gutted he didn’t get to do the voice, he’s the only Mario we’ve ever know and does it so well)

@Anti-Matter I know nothing about this game, but I’d bet a large sum that it’s nothing but shovelware aimed at wee lassies who don’t know the difference between a good game and a poor game. I doubt a review would be very kind to it.

I just think it’s a bit of an oxymoron to write that you can easily recommend it to anyone, but non-fans of the series will lose out on some extra brilliance. You’ve already given the game glowing praise so surely it’s quality speaks for itself and non-fans will still have a good time.

As others have said, some of these ‘cons’ have almost felt like a tick-box exercise or looking for faults where there are none.

The last 2 cons are extremely stupid.
