Am I the only one who was glad Valve brought it to their attention? If Nintendo wanted people to play Gamecube games on Steam then they obviously would have done so by now. These fan projects are doomed as soon as they gain any amount of traction, but these idiots never learn.

Hate all the cover art for this. Yasushi Suzuki has some of the greatest concept art in the business and none of them do it justice at all.

Physical games forever.

I can understand why they choose projects like this from an investors point of view - there’s already a fan-base established, the interest is already there.
But the lack of originality in terms of IP these days is just so disappointing.
Tired of spin-offs for Marvel, Disney, DC, LotR, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, whatever man.

This ain’t coming to Switch. That’s just an opinion of course, and is based purely on the fact that Konami chose not to release Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night/Rondo of Blood on Switch, for literally no reason whatsoever.
This MGS collection will be PS5, Xbox and PC only.

Also, you’re not even correct. I could only find 1 story about 1 particular dev who was diagnosed with PTSD due to ‘violent dreams’ that they were having. If you’re gonna @ me with irrelevant info at least get it right.

@Jhena it’s not a Nintendo game though, so they’re not the ‘twisted’ ones. It just happens to be on their system. I shouldn’t need to have to explain that lol.

@Jhena you have no obligation to buy violent video games. But having the option to play them on Nintendo’s console is healthy for the industry as a whole.

Nintendo hasn’t been as strict with violence and whatnot for a long time. It’s those wimps at Sony that take the censorship crown these days.

I was grinning like an idiot when I accidentally killed myself with a bomb weapon I forgot to let go of. That was a kind of ‘lightbulb’ moment for me where I was thinking ‘well I didn’t know I could do THAT’.
It takes a special kind of game for me to be cheesing when I have GAME OVER displayed on my TV.

Kind of disappointed how ‘recent’ most of these games are. I don’t care who needs to hear it, The Last of Us and Dark Souls are insanely overrated.

There are homages, ‘inspired by’, etc.
Then there’s blatant clones.

@Dev9417 the “Disney of video games” is so unbelievably stupid. The two companies are hardly comparable.

Seems like it’s poor critical reception isn’t going to stop its popularity. As a Nintendo fan I guess this is a good success for them. As a cinema fan, I’m just disappointed.

That’s a STEEP price for a shmup download. Would rather seek out a physical copy for that amount.

Same old comments about LRG wait times etc. Don’t buy their stuff if that bothers you so much, the game has also been available digitally for years.

Who the heck is surprised by this? With the utterly ridiculous money being spent on these ‘investments’ in recent years, the more likely that fakes and fraud are going to surface.

Lol, bit late reporting on this. I’ve had it preordered at Strictly Limited for a few months now. The base version is even sold out now.

Why is NintendoLife reporting on this crap? The game isn’t out yet and you’re reporting on Youtuber speculation… What has this site become?

Well I’m guessing they didn’t really find much success competing against SNK. Always look forward to discovering new games, even if these titles aren’t necessarily my thing.

@michellelynn0976 yeah exactly this. I was going to make a comparison to the FIFA Legacy Editions that have been coming out, which is essentially less than DLC.

Listen, I just enjoy the games and apply a little bit of videogame logic to the proceedings without really thinking about it.
Red barrels explode, enemies heads are their weak points, RPG’s are turn-based and have damage indicated by a number and Kirby ‘eats’ things.

Not feeling this, struggling to see either inspiration tbh. The soundtrack is probably the most Satoshi Kon thing about this game.

It’s probably nothing to do with Castlevania and is more likely some more Pachinko/Gacha-style crap that they love.

Excellent game, only playing through it for the first time. A chill but mind-expanding experience with the best OST I’ve heard in a while.

@MatoFilipovic you’re not wrong, but no one wants to hear about their interest in NFT’s. Because if there’s one company who would be dumb and/or stubborn enough to actually incorporate into their games, it’s Square Enix…
But also the Pokemon Company 100% too.

The Pokemon Company are behind on their business decisions (NFT’s are a dead concept) and their game development (Scarlet/Violet were technologically 2 gaming generations too late).
If they didn’t have such a strong IP they would honestly be bust.

OMG a luggage tag!!! I was on the fence about the game but that tag has swayed my decision, easily. Day one for me now. Thank you Nintendo. Thank you NintendoLife!!
