This Jay Peters actually sounds quite excited by this prospect, which is unforgivable. I doubt this project will be using Nintendo properties for very long.
@Edd-O I eventually got Natsuki Chronicles and Ginga Force for the PS4 from First Press, but I even thought they were goners for a while. And still, the wait for them was nothing like what we’re seeing now (4 years, 4 months and 12 days and counting).
@Edd-O My copy of Crimzon Clover was preordered on September 10th 2021. Still no sign of it, or the other 2 titles you mentioned. 15 months is child’s play in comparison haha.
@Willo567 Funnily enough, I didn’t even mention Reggie in my response. But unlike Doug, he was at least more visible at E3’s, featured in many Nintendo Directs and had a lot more engagement with fans. Memes were accidentally formed with the “my body is ready” quote, but he also made self-referential and self-deprecating jokes which fans have appreciated. I also didn’t say he was a friend, but it felt like he genuinely cared about the business as much as his own paycheck.
@Willo567 I don’t think it’s exclusive to Doug Bowser, but I think there’s a specific disdain for people who get paid very well for contributing very little.
Also, we barely heard from Bowser in his time at Nintendo, so I don’t think anyone particularly cares about this development.
i know Limited Run get a lot of bad press for different reasons, but some of their choices for releases has just been straight up awful in recent years. This included, obviously.
I understand the business sense of cross-gen releases, but they always detract from that new console experience for me. Mario Kart and Donkey Kong are great, but I reckon it’s still missing that killer app, and I’m not sure what it will be tbh. Having said that, it’s my primary console and I am still very much enjoying it.
@siavm Oh… I was sure I read somewhere previously that Switch 2 versions (like Pokemon Z-A) will not work on Switch 1. Apparently I stand corrected then, apologies! ✌🏻
Giles Goddard and Dylan Cuthbert honestly peaked in the SNES era and have been living off that legacy ever since. They’re only ever mentioned in the same breath as Starfox.
Sexualising Pokemon will never not be disturbing to me, so not really vibing with this chat. But Mega Starmie is also just categorically one of the laziest designs I’ve ever seen. Truly awful.
Also lol at all the removed comments. Touched a nerve with some people I guess.
Terranigma, Atlus games, Solatorobo (maybe too deep a cut), Inazuma Eleven, Chibi Robo… Would rather have seen some of these instead of multiple entries of the same franchise.
@Spider-Kev While I’m slightly concerned about the direction of this generation and the company in general, your petulant overreaction is a bit melodramatic.
Some of the visuals honestly make this game look like an alpha build, not a finished product. I’m genuinely appalled by the complete lack of coherent art direction; everything looks like assets dropped into a stunningly-lifeless world.
Just seen this on the Nintendo App. I’ve played FE Heroes almost every day since release, but this Among Us style thing doesn’t look it lends itself too well to the series. Hard pass from me, roll on Fortune’s Weave.
@WiltonRoots your comment to @electrolite77 is embarrassing.
I have nothing further to add that would meaningfully extend the discussion where we obviously disagree.
Enjoy your overpriced games.
@electrolite77 they objectively cost too much for what they offer when factoring in the prices on the Wii U virtual console for the same software.
Majority I’m referring to = the comments on this site which, as you can see, are no exactly pleased with it and/or are skipping purchases altogether.
Cost of living does factor in because there is less disposable income for such entertainment. If it was cheaper it could be attainable for others.
It’s almost like you’re on the side of the corporate greed machine - the now very anti-consumer Nintendo, that is.
@WiltonRoots we have a cost of living crisis and these games are at least 15 years old now. So maybe people aren’t selling kidneys to buy them (it sounds like people are going to pass on these in general), but they objectively cost far too much for what they are. Feel free to disagree, but the majority has spoken here.
@JohnnyMind Are you implying that the pricing is the LEAST important thing when it comes to games? Because I’d argue that it’s an important topic for literally every consumer product, ever. At least to me and many of the other people in this comment section.
@JohnnyMind a discount from Nintendo who rarely discounts their games? This is such a poor take; they are far too expensive. I thought this might be the day you finally say something critical, but nope.
Panzer Dragoon Remake was so visually unappealing, felt unfinished in areas and had excruciating load times. It’s such a shame Forever have the license.
Source: YouTuber - Those who selfishly flourish via sensationalism and gimmicky thumbnails to sell us any old s**t. You would do better again than to pay attention to this rubbish.
@Not_Soos I don’t know what games you’ve “cared about”, but I wouldn’t get carried away with all those IP making the jump to Nintendo. If anything, it would be a gradual process where they test the waters with spin-offs - like Lego Horizon - rather than bringing any big hitters across.

Re: Pokémon Pokopia Switch 2 New Pre-Order Bonus Revealed (US)
Can’t wait for this to flop compared to other games in the series.
Re: Book Review: The History Of The Pokémon Games - A Light, Informative Blast To The Past
Why would they put one of the least visually-appealing games on the cover? 😂

Re: Random: This Fan Is Ripping Nintendo's Finest Tunes Onto Vinyl, Including The 3DS Menu Theme
@OmnitronVariant Massive agree. I always expected some theme or menu updates for Switch 1, but they never came.
Great systems, but sorely lacking in Nintendo’s trademark quirks and personality.
Re: Opinion: I'll Never Truly RIP Until 'The Séance Of Blake Manor' Comes To Switch
@Ashfordwasp That’s an Italian flag

@Willo567 To be fair, I really don’t care. I was just trying to address your point earlier.

This conversation is getting real old, real fast. Do people actually have nothing better to do than speculate on AI use?
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th December (North America)
Baroque Shooting is the kinda nonsense I’m here for. A rerelease of a shmup spin-off of a bleak, dungeon crawler RPG… Why not!

The entire game is a 3D platformer, not just the DLC. So if you don’t like 3D platformers then the entire experience is surely a big con…
