My only experience of Okami to date was on the Wii and I think the motion controls severely hindered it. I found them very unresponsive with the attacks in particular and it stopped me from continuing the game. Which is a shame, because it’s considered to be one of the industry’s very best. I have a HD copy somewhere and will get to it one day.

@JohnnyMind people who don’t learn from their mistakes, or learn from others’ very obvious and widely-publicised mistakes, need to be held accountable.
Nintendo will absolutely go after this if it gets enough traction and everyone knows they will. They are the most consistent and notorious protectors of their IP in the industry, so I don’t have any sympathy for the creators now and I won’t in the future either. It’s also a good thing that the trailer was mince because we won’t be missing anything.

@JohnnyMind can you try and saying something critical or even negative for a change? 😂 If there was ever a reason to do so, it’s this unauthorised use of Nintendo property. Just once. Pleaaaseee 🥺

A lot of nothing to even get excited about in that trailer anyway. Y’know, that is if it wasn’t taken down, which it very much will be.

It’s probably just another screenshot button. This was limited to only the left JoyCon, so only one person could use it if the controllers were shared.

Not having the original development team does not impact this final product in any way and should not be listed as a negative. Mention it in the review, sure - hell, why not even have an entire separate article dedicated to it?
But listing it there is pretty pathetic.

It’s these constant rumour articles and whispers and spec leaks that are getting out of hand. I’m ready when Nintendo is ready, I still have plenty of backlog right now anyway.

(Plus, I’m a grown-ass man and I can wait until the end of March, which would be the very latest…)

For anyone that skipped most of the article (myself included), this is the statement:

So it’s definitely not performance.

@CrimsonDragoon but as others have said, the quality cesspit that is the eShop exists. So I would be surprised if it was performance-related.
We had that King Kong game earlier this year and apparently that was criminally poor.

Sony have been the ones coming under criticism for strange censorship decisions in recent years, so I wonder which guidelines they breached (if any - this is of course one-sided). Not a great loss for my perspective though, these games have never interested me.

A surprisingly touching and classy gesture. Some have argued, however, that Astro Bot has gone beyond more ‘influenced by Mario’ and has straight-up copied mechanics at times. But respect to this guy for even having the audacity and awareness to reference Nintendo when accepting an award for a first-party Sony title.

Don’t forget, we’re only getting one side of the story here. For example, I know he’s paraphrasing but he was never told to “go away”, I refuse to believe that. Unsure why he’s coming out with this 17 years after the game release too, what is the point? Like everyone else, I’m siding with the so-called micromanagers as that Nintendo quality is obvious through the course of their work.

@Anti-Matter is this even a game you would play? Seems like the opposite thing you would normally be interested in. There are much better JRPG’s out there.
