Re: Review: Ever Oasis (3DS)

I liked the demo, but I still need to beat 7th Dragon, go back and beat Stella Glow, and eventually start Bravely Default, so I have enough 3DS RPGs on my plate before I can grab this one.

Re: Review: Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition (New 3DS)

"Where the original supported up to nine players simultaneously across four modes, this version only supports a maximum of four players in three modes."

So I'm guessing this means no crossplay between new3DS and Wii U versions.

Sucks, since Runbow's online community is freakin' DEAD on Wii U...

Re: Sega Forever Aims To Revive The Company's Past On Mobile, But Could Come To Switch

I hope they put it on Switch. I tried to get Phantasy Star II, but it said my device wasn't compatible.

"After a flood of classic Master System and Mega Drive games on the Wii Virtual Console Sega took a step back during the Wii U era, choosing to put selected Game Gear, arcade and Mega Drive games on the 3DS only."

Actually, Sega did put some of (if not all of) the Sonic Advance games on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan. Granted, those are GBA games, but still.

@SKTTR

During races, they kept the exact same expression on their face even when hit by an item or when winning or loosing. This was creepy, and didn't make sense, as a Mii could be doing the loosing animation, but still look happy or indifferent depending on what you set your Mii's facial features to.

Now it works like in the Wii U version, where the Mii's expression will change depending on the situation.

Re: Reminder: Fire Emblem My Nintendo Rewards Arrive in North America, Metroid in Europe

I've been meaning to pick up Shadow Dragon on the Wii U, so I'll just take advantage of that discount this time.

This service would be a LOT better if they just brought back full game rewards (not just discounts) in exchange for gold coins. There are some cool bonuses every once in a while (like the Kid Icarus shorts), but pretty much everything is discounts, and that is very disappointing in my opinion.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2017 - Spring Edition

Dang, this is a tough one.

In the end, I chose Fire Emblem Warriors, Sonic Forces, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but I'm also really really looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Puyo Puyo Tetris are also on my list. I gave the demo for Disgaea 2 a try and I quite liked it, so I'll probably pick up Disgaea 5 on Switch. I'll also most certainly get Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition at some point, as I never got around to getting the game on Wii U. (Still need to beat my 3DS copy of Rayman Origins, though.)

This is going to be an awesome (and expensive) year!

Re: Poll: A Month of Nintendo Switch - Do You Think It's Heading for Success?

OdnetninAges

I'm still surprised I was able to get one at a midnight launch. I'm very glad I did, because the Switch certainly isn't easy to get right now...

My first month with the system has been pretty good! I'm still playing Breath of the Wild, and it is a highly addictive game. I was able to pull myself away from it for a bit to play through Blaster Master Zero, and that game was a lot of fun as well. And of course, the Splatoon 2 testfire was awesome.

I can't wait for more games to roll out for the console.

Re: Video: See Sonic Forces At Its Best in Official Gameplay Footage

I was at the SXSW panel itself, and it was an absolute blast! I met everyone (plus Yuji Naka) last year, but it was great to see and talk to them again regardless. I also got to meet Tails' Channel IRL for the first time, which was awesome!

The Mania poster and Forces mini-poster were also really cool, and I was able to get them autographed by everyone along with different games from last year. I even got Iizuka-san to autograph my copy of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams too, so it was nice seeing his reaction to that.

My friend had everyone sign his Mario hat, which led to some funny reactions, particularly from Iizuka-san. Another friend got Mr. Smith to say "You're too slow" in Sonic's voice, which was another cool moment.

I really hope they come back next year! It's always great having them here.
