From what I've already played this year, it's probably Persona 5 Strikers. I had a pretty good time with that game.

However, that might change as three of my other most anticipated games of the year came out this week. (The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, NEO: TWEWY, and Blaster Master Zero 3.) I won't say for sure yet since I'm still not done with them, but they seem like they will end up being some of my favorites of the year unless they somehow do something I really don't like.

I can see why people wouldn't like the score of 7. If we look at the scoring policy at nintendolife.com/scoring we can see it all...

This game is a shambling mockery of a game. If you ever see a rating of a seven DO NOT even consider buying this game. RUN for your life!

Ideally with an updated version of 1 that lets you switch between the PS1 and PSP soundtrack.

People be like "Metascore doesn't matter" then skip a game that gets "7/10 (Good)" on Nintendo Life because it is "too low of a score".

@Savino It's third on my "most played" apps, so quite a bit. I have friends that have more than 200 hours on it too.

Sonic Mania and Sonic 3 for sure. Fantastic platformers.

Xenoblade X, NES Remix Pack, and the HD Zeldas should all come over.

Yoshi's Wooly World too, but they won't do it.

Miitopia, Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir, and maybe some Scott Pilgrim.

I'm a big fan of their work. Very much looking forward to Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 and Blaster Master Zero 3.

To be fair, they kind of wrote themselves into a corner with the ending of the first one. They'd either need to retcon the ending, do something creative that somehow makes sense with how the first movie ended, or just ignore the first movie altogether.

I really want Miitopia, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and NEO: The World Ends with You. I also really want the Famicom Detective Club games, but I'm probably gonna have to wait on those, as much as I want to support them being released in English.

I'm getting Blaster Master Zero 3 day one too, but I'll just get it digitally, not in the physical trilogy.

Toon Link in Arena Ferox. This clearly confirms The Legend of Zelda: Link's Fire Emblem Awakening.

@jump THANK YOU. That's what I've been saying. If the foundation is poor, it doesn't matter how much they delay the game. Same thing with Sonic Forces. That game was polished and was fine in that regard. However, the level design and controls were what dragged it down, and delaying the game straight up wouldn't have fixed that.

This will be how I'll (eventually) buy these games. They are very fun with friends. Online is much appreciated, and seemed to work very well in what I played of Overcooked 2 when it was free to play for Switch Online members for a few days.

@BloodNinja Funny how folks will go "this doesn't mean anything!!!" and then see a game get reviewed with a score of 7/10 (good) and click their tongue and go "WELL, THAT'S NOT AS GOOD AS IT COULD BE, SO I'LL SAVE MY MONEY."

Ian Flynn is a great writer. It's a shame this got cancelled.

I think the way they worked him in is cool. Despite not being playable, he's still implied to be there somewhere with Pyra and Mythra during the battle. He's in the entrance animation, in the up-taunt, in the Final Smash... They basically implemented him the best they could.

@saotomemtl Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. I actually got LRG's release of SoR4, and felt a bit burned as a result. I can't even register the game for My Nintendo points for some reason.

A lot of people will be viewing the TWEWY IP for the first time through this anime, so I want this to be the best anime possible.

Starting to get sick of Limited Run Games. This absolutely should have been a normal physical release.

I mean, there's not as many as people make it seem like there are, and most of them play fairly uniquely. I remember when Shulk was announced I thought his playstyle was very unique and interesting, with the different monado arts.

There's only so much you can do with a sword alone, but I feel like they've done a good job keeping it varied. Some characters like Link, Steve, and Byleth don't even use their sword for all of their moves.

Got to meet him at SXSW twice, and he was a pretty cool guy to talk to. Seemed to really like the role.

@CharizardEmperor Persona 4 Arena takes place after the events of Persona 4. It's a sequel. It being a different genre doesn't change that.

There are some duplicates in here, such as Ciel Fledge and Keen.

I agree completely. I was a bit disappointed by Byleth too, but they at least represented a new entry and world in the FE series that wasn't in Smash before, even if there were a lot of FE characters already.

If another Square Enix series couldn't be represented, I'd at least would have liked to see a new Final Fantasy represented. Oh well. I'm glad others are happy.

I understand that's not going to be the same case for everyone, but it's not like this has no merit.

And it's also coming to Steam, which doesn't have Persona 5 either, so... ¯(ツ)/¯

Actually, it occurs to me that Persona 4 Arena (which was a sequel to Persona 4) was on PS3 and Xbox 360, so there's precedent.

Waiting to get the Anniversary Edition. I have every other FE special edition, so I want this too.

If I can't get it, I'll just buy the game by itself off the eShop on March 30th or something.
