Amazon Spain Lists Fire Emblem Fates Complete Edition For Switch With Fan-Made Cover Art

Oh yes, I've been holding out for this one after missing out on the special edition of Fates. Didn't end up buying any version as I wanted the complete game in 1 place.

It could happen, after all there's no November game outside of a possible rumoured release date for Skyrim and I don't think Nintendo would count 3rd party games in their aim for at least 1 big game per month. That said, I think a Smash port will come in November.

I don't think this one is happening. We've already been told a new Fire Emblem game is coming next year to Switch, so I don't see why they would also do a port so close to that one.

Regardless, like @Jingo_Unchained said, if this one does turn out to be real, I'll be giving it a pass. I love fire emblem, but I've played Fates to death on my 3DS already.

Nope. Put enough time into Fates last year, somewhat annoyed at myself for doing so seeing as it was a very undewhelming experience. If this is real, I'm not buying.

I spent $80 on Fates on my 3DS. Will not be going for this if it's true, although I'm tempted.

Oh I'd be aaaaall over this, 3 copies minimum! All 3 paths (each a full game in their own right) and in HD? With TV play? Oh man I'm gonna spaz. Imagine if it had all the DLC too! Gosh dang that would be hundreds of hours of content!

Have the Fates CE and the N3DS XL Fates Limited Edition (3DS is unused lawl). Games was a bit underwhelming, won't bother buying it again if it's legit.

IF (see what I did there?) Fates would come to the Switch, the ONLY thing that would make me upgrade would be if it included dual audio. Otherwise I'm more than content with my limited 3DS complete edition.

Fates' story sucked but the gameplay was so good, I'd double dip for a HD port.

I highly doubt it's real because of the fanart(may be a place holder). If it is I'm not interested, I have all 3 Fates routes, and besides the gameplay in Conquest, they ain't that good.

@DaLoneSheep Fire Emblem Warriors is a fall game so September is the likely release date for that.

@Grumblevolcano I bet that the employee was told to put up a placeholder for the new Switch Fire Emblem game that is coming on November 17 and found this art and thought that it was real. Nintendo's September game is Pokken.

This was obviously meant to be FE Warriors but the employee doesn't know Nintendo stuff and just put what he found.

@DaLoneSheep Fall only consists of September and October (November and December gets called Holiday/Winter).

Given that they're still flogging 3DS, and Echoes revitalizing FE recently on 3DS, the fact that Warriors will give Switch a dose of FE this fall, purely as a placeholder for a new Switch FE next year.....Fates seems like one of the absolute least likely possible ports to Switch at least for the next several years before/unless they see a need to bring the 3DS library forward post discontinuation. They're trying to sell MORE 3DS's, remember.

Last week, in Paris. Somebody stole my black Nintendo New 3DS, with Majora's mask cover plates and the cartridge inserted in the console was my Fe Fates Special edition cart.
The thief also took 2 copies of MK8DX and a European switch charger from my bag under the restaurant table where we were playing Switch as a group of 6 people..
I now have the Fe Fates Special edition box etc but no cart. Cfgk24 is officially sad.

I somehow doubt this is true, seeing as Warriors is due out this year and they are working on an original Switch Fire Emblem game for next year. I think it might be a little bit of overload. That said, even if it is real, I wouldn't double dip. Games like Mario Kart have replay value, but I definitely played Fates to completion and I don't need to do it again.

@cfgk24 I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how heartbreaking that is. I live in mortal dread of my 3DS being stolen or lost, especially if I had my copy of Pokémon in it. I have every single fully evolved Pokémon to level 100, each with a competitive move set, EV trained, and decent IVs. Losing that cartridge would be losing thousands of hours of my life, and I don't think I could move forward after that.

Warriors and Fates are two completely different games. Warriors is more hack and slash and Fates is turned based strategy. I will buy both even if they are released on same day.

=_= Already put 800+ hours in Fates. Not gonna even touch this if it does come out as a real thing.

But I might still buy it tho...... I'm too much of a FE fanboy to pass this :/ HELP

I got introduced to fire emblem on the GameCube. I almost returned the game when my mother got it for me for Christmas. I had asked for it but never knew it was a turn based game. But I decided to keep it and have had an excellent relationship since then. I would welcome a console Fire Emblem, but not this, a new HD entry.

If it was true, I'd preorder and sell my 3ds special edition......ebay has them listed for $200......pretty sure I can get $150 at least

@Grumblevolcano Xeno and FE Warriors still don't have set dates, I think Xeno is November for sure.

FE says September in JPN but Pokken and FEW seems odd.

@PAHTK Xenoblade 2 seems more likely to be December like with XCX.

I would buy it since I knew I wasn't going to drop $80+ for them.

I have the Special edition and played so much of Fates...that said I would buy again, because I'm a crazy fan.

If this included all the DLC packs for free, then maybe.

I have the special edition of Fates and I wouldn't buy again. The game was really underwhelming for me, I don't think that I could force me again through the slug that was the plot.

That said, I think its fake - why wouldn't they use the special edition's artwork to represent the full game, or something like that?

I hope this is real. I would love to play Fates, but I'm not buying 3 games to get the full story.

@Aaron09 To be fair, most FE stories suck. "Insert kingdom here" is warring with "bad guys" and there are "dragons" involved somehow.

@cfgk24 im soo sorry to hear that, just remember you cannot trust anyone in this world. never leave special items unattended or they will most likely be taken. in theory it sounds fun to play anywhere, but the reality is that playing anywhere leaves you vulnerable to chaos.

No... please don't let this be the Switch Fire Emblem. Echoes being so great filled me with a lot of hope they could take from Echoes to improve on a lot of Fates flaw.

Could happen, but with Warriors coming very soon and a new FE game for the Switch next year, I doubt there would be much room for this port.

Besides, I don't think those who paid a fair bit for all the 3DS content would be too happy with this cheaper fuller HD-ier package....

If this is the "real" Fire emblem Switch, I would cry! Another port?!
I want a proper, new Fire emblem. A new home-console Fire emblem is long overdue, and I guess they can make it really strong on Switch.

Oh, and Echoes is great by the way. Almost finished it.

Truth be told, this is around the price that Fates should have cost for everything in the first place. I always thought it was BS to charge $80 for the entirety of Fates. Definitely going to pass if this ends up being real at some point.

@cfgk24 I'm sorry to hear that. I remember back in 7th grade I had my gba stolen with almost all of my games. I never found out who did it (though I have a ngging suspicion who it was). It took me YEARS to get all of those games back as well as a new system so It's made me cautious about bringing 3ds with me at times, especially if it's not on my person. My condolences

That art looks great but honestly if they "ported" fates I would rather a full scale remake with better character models.

I believe the game is indeed coming to the Switch period regardless if the employee messed up on the pic ect.
FEW is coming out on both the 3ds & Switch you have ppl saying they want 3ds games on Switch instead so Nin could be trying to satisfy both crowds which they are doing anyway.

Probably fake, though it would be cool if FE:F on Switch was real.

Personally, I'll just wait for the new Fire Emblem on Switch, which is coming out next year, so there isn't too much of a wait.

Oh yeah i'd be all for that! Especially if it's uncensored. More 3DS remasters please! Fire Emblem Awakening would also be nice. Maybe the Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time remakes as well!

I would 100% buy this. I loved Awakening but never got around to playing Fates. This would be an awesome entry point for me! Please be real... probably isn't... but please!

I'm... really sorry to hear this. I can only imagine...

I would send you my spare special edition Fates copy I have listed on eBay... rather see you set right than make a little spare coin... but I'm in the US and you're in the U.K. and the system is region locked, so it wouldn't do you any good.

If Nintendo releases a Fates "Complete Edition" for the Switch I'd buy it.

If they have the Japanese voices as an option.

And put face petting back in.

@JaxonH thanks man! That would be too kind! I'm not gonna tell you that I have 2 US 3DS consoles - a metallic red and a purple one - I use them for Korg DS10+ as the plus version of that software wasn't released in Europe.

If this was true, this would be a ridiculous joke:
1) after forcing people to pay 80€ minimum or around 110€ (or more, thanks to limited stocks) to get a full card of it on 3DS,
2) to re-release yet another WiiU/3DS game for their new shiny console.

By the way, is it normal I still haven't heard of new Switch retail games released by other companies four months after the console's release?

If this were real and the improvements were worth it, I'd dip.

Like, having all of Map Pack DLC from the 3DS version (including the maps that never got released in NA) on top of upscaled graphics would be enough for me to buy the game again.

I'm buying the Gunvolt Striker Pack for Switch for a similar reason (plus 60 FPS, and the Japanese version having some cool goodies alongside one of the physical releases they have over there).

Didn't bother with Fates due to the three versions thing. I'd probably buy it.

If it was Fates + Awakening it would be a must buy for me. Fates by itself just didn't have that great of a story for me, especially Birthright. I did love Conquest's gameplay and maps and haven't got revelations yet.

@whodatninja My main problem was that I had to pay a far higher price to get the actual "full" game on one card. While Hyrule Warriors simply downloaded one little file to unlock characters if I paid.
