Re: Review: Kill la Kill: IF - An Underwhelming Arena Fighter That's Only For Fans Of The Anime

OdnetninAges

While I found the demo kinda fun, I really wish anime IPs would get more 2D fighters rather than these arena fighters.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax and DragonBall FighterZ are examples of fun games that can be as casual or deep as the amount of time the player puts into them, while also being a treat for fans of the IP included.

Imagine if this and Jump Force were 2D sprite-based high-speed fighters. They would have been extremely fun.

Re: Demo Kill la Kill: IF Or Buy The Full Game Later This Month

OdnetninAges

Glad there's gonna be a demo. I love Kill la Kill, but IDK about a 3D fighter. I would have prefered a 2D fighter, or for the characters to be put into BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle or something.

Regardless, it'll take a bit for me to try the demo because Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be taking up all of my time.

Damn, I guess I'm the only one who really likes this game. Got into Under Night In-Birth because of it too.

I also picked up Persona 4 Arena, but I'm going to wait until after I play Persona 4 to start that one.

EDIT: Actually, a Taiwanese rating board apparently leaked "Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]" for Switch and PS4. Has that been reported on by Nintendo Life yet?

Re: Don’t Expect A Skies Of Arcadia Port Or Sequel Anytime Soon

@Nomad
In the last few years, new games in various series have been released. Puyo Puyo, Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza, 7th Dragon, and Virtual On have all gotten new entries. There's also a new Sakura Wars coming worldwide next year, Shenmue 3 is coming, and Streets of Rage 4, which people just would not stop complaining about, is finally coming soon as well. Oh, and Toe Jam and Earl: Back in the Groove was a thing too. (You can say that Sega isn't the publisher for the last 3, but they still own the IPs, and allowed for those sequels to happen.)

This "Sega only makes Sonic" thing is absolute horse poo, and it always will be. Just because a game YOU want a sequel to isn't being made doesn't mean they are neglecting their other franchises.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Reveals Nintendo Has Already Selected DLC Fighters For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

OdnetninAges

This is... Interesting. Sakurai made the choices for characters before, right? Well, I guess he still is here, but from a pool of characters chosen by Nintendo themselves. I guess this means third parties might not be DLC after all?

And how does this bode for Rex & Pyra's chances? From the sound of it, the list was finalized today, so they might actually have a chance.

@DavidMac
Personally, I'm hoping that at least GBA games will be released on the Switch. I'm out of room for games on my Wii U, and I don't really want to go to the effort of getting a hard drive for it just for the first two Golden Sun games, as much as I would like to play them.

Glad I held off on the Deluxe versions on Wii U and New3DS. I will be picking this up. Not sure if physically or digitally yet, though. (I have it digitally on Wii U thanks to the Humble Bundle.)

Re: Review: INK (Switch eShop)

I played this on PC just a few months ago. It's a good game overall, but I feel that the controls could be a bit better. There have been times where the block doesn't react the way I expected it to based on my inputs, and it led to an accidental death.

For example, if you are near a wall, you will cling to that wall automatically, regardless of if you are pressing in the direction of the wall on the d-pad or not. As a result, you will wall jump in instances where you do not mean to wall jump, shooting you upwards in the direction opposite of the wall. In later stages, this becomes a big issue.
