Was still really looking forward to all the new stuff that is coming out (like Daima) and possibly Super 2. Even though he was more hands-off nowadays, afaik most of the character designs and story outlines were still done by mister Toriyama.

Even though the American cover looks like a great piece of artwork with a logo slapped on it, at least it's great art. Whereas the art on the Japanese cover looks a bit iffy, as already commented above, especially the eyes.

@RupeeClock I basically closed the survey when I was at that question, seeing as I didn't realise you can continue without selecting an answer. Also felt weird you're "forced" to answer how much you spent on PC hardware/accessories.

@FredsBodyDouble While I agree that to me, E3 was an incredible time of the year as well and I always loved tuning in for hours on end, though as I got older, tuning in live wasn't always possible either.

Unfortunately, I don't think that means it's not a relic, seeing as companies have moved on to formats that are more convenient, cheaper and without the added pressure of rivalry.

That however doesn't mean I won't sorely miss it and I would've definitely preferred if the big three (and loads of other gaming companies) kept being involved with E3. And I'd never say "good riddance" to something that has given me a lot of joy over the years.

While this is far from a perfect analogy, I've always loved hand-drawn animations/animes, but I also realise that in this day and age it's no longer sustainable to make full movies/series through those [labor intensive] means. That's how I feel about E3 as well. I loved it and never stopped loving it, but it's clear that it's a thing of the past.

RIP E3, thanks for the memories! I'm sure I'll rewatch some announcements over the years (and probably soon).

@InnerSound While I agree the focus of Princess Mononoke is definitely not on violence, it still has plenty of action and even decapitation, so I don't see how that would make a Zelda x Ghibli movie a bad fit. I wouldn't want the Zelda movie's main focus to be the fighting either.

I definitely think it's a shame they couldn't at least put the first MGS on the cartridge.. still bought it anyway though, so I guess I'm not really helping the cause.

@Olliemar28 That wasn't true as a kid though. I played the originals and received the SNES All Stars version after that and loved it even more so.

It was pretty boring to be honest. To me, only very few interesting games got announced and none of them blew me away.

First and foremost, I enjoyed the movie and so did my girlfriend.

Definitely not some masterpiece and not nearly as good as some of Pixar's greats, but still enjoyable. Honestly, if it wasn't for my love of all things Nintendo, I probably would've found it a somewhat lacking movie. Though in the end there's only so much you can do with a game like Mario and I think they did well enough.

Not sure what to do.. I want to know more, but I'm already getting the game regardless, so not sure if I'll just end up spoiling myself.

I'll probably just take a peek and see how deep into the game they go and stop watching as soon as it seems like it'll be spoiling too much.

If anything this looks a lot like Nuclear Throne.. maybe even a little bit too much so.

Not the prettiest special edition ever, but being a huge Zelda fan, I don't think I'd be able to resist buying it.. ^^'

I think the main reason I don't want a fish in my party, is because when you're battling, they just float in the air, which I think is incredibly lame.

Nice list! Definitely interesting facts about the naming conventions and I was most impressed by the Zora one. Adding such tiny details to such a grand game, lovely.

I'm a PC gamer first and Nintendo enthousiast second, but Nintendo really does have that magic touch.

I own both a Steam Deck and a Switch Oled, and I can't deny I would probably not play Dark Souls on the Switch anymore, but would rather opt for Dark Souls Remastered on Steam Deck, but I would never want to miss out on Nintendo's first-party games.

Nintendo has this impeccable high quality standard for 90+% of the games they create and I would never want to miss out on those amazing experiences.

EDIT: I do have to say, Valve also has an incredibly high standard and track record when it comes to games, they just don't make as many as Nintendo.

While it's a shame Kirby wasn't coloured pink in the European box art, I think it still looks way more dynamic and interesting. I'd have definitely been more drawn to that one as a kid as well.

I don't think their previous logo was particularly good looking, but at least it was distinct and already well known among gamers. While this logo doesn't look bad by any means, it does look a bit generic.

"First and only", doesn't that still leave room for more paid DLC in the future. Since right now, it is indeed the only paid DLC, doesn't mean it can't change in the future. Or am I just hoping against better judgment?

Looks amazing, can't wait to throw my money at it. Can't believe some people actually expect huge additions like this to always be free of charge.. Even back in the day we had expansion packs you had to pay for, so what's so different about this?

I wish it was possible to play the campaign with motion controls..

I'm just going to be happy being able to play Luftrausers, FTL, Rimworld, Factorio, Project Zomboid, dozens of point & click adventure games, Oxygen Not Included and so many more in handheld-mode. I don't really care for playing first -and third-person shooters with a controller, so the more high-end games probably won't do much for me on this device.

So very tempted by the Steam Deck, but I think I will wait to see how it does first and get some proper impressions on it. I can't deny the button layout looks quite awkward to me, but everything else sounds fantastic.

Also already pre-ordered a Switch OLED, seeing as I wanted a Switch with a better battery than my launch Switch anyway.

Definitely a bit of a disappointing upgrade, but I'm still using a day one Switch, so for me it will be worth upgrading just for the better battery-life and better screen.

@Rika_Yoshitake Yeah, I remember not being impressed with how BotW was looking in the early reveal and we all know how that turned out in the end.

Only problem is, Nintendo doesn't develop any of the Pokemon titles.

I was mildly interested in this while clicking the article, but this definitely gives off some really good Theme Park vibes, which makes me want to play it right away. Getting this for sure!
