even if the game was rock-solid, the embrace of not only a subscription fee but also paid battle passes on top of that (and on top of paying for NSO and Pokemon Home) is utterly absurd. Thats not what I want to see in quality game experiences
"All you need to do is transfer a 'mon from Legends: Z-A into Home, then on the mobile app, head to the Mystery Gift tab in Home to claim your freebies."
So...we need to use the Switch version of the app to transfer them. But then put that down and use the phone version of the app to get the mystery gift? How does that make sense?
why Gale of Darkness before Colosseum? I really don't get why the sequel releases first. Also, just "March"? You couldn't be bothered with a specific day?
Orbitals looks amazing. I love the visuals so much. But I was disappointed it seems to be co-op only.
I'm happy to see FF7 Rebirth, Digimon, Fallout, Oblivion, and Indy being ported. And Adventures of Elliot still looks good.
But nothing was new. And some new obvious ports (i.e. Metaphor or Expedition 33) were MIA.
Very little content in this Direct was actual news. And that was super disappointing. Nothing here surprised me. And in a year where there is already very little 1st party content I want (only Fire Emblem), I really needed some more energy and excitement from 3rd parties. And this didn't deliver at all.
$40 is so reasonable for this port that I'll pick it up to replay. Nintendo should take note that ports with little new content should be priced accordingly, like this
I've never seen the economy worse here in the US than it is now, which includes the Bush-era mid-00s recession. Everyone is hurting and even everyday items are getting too expensive, so luxuries are getting cut out.
Expect it to get worse until the current felon is out of office
Man, Metaphor and Expedition 33 ports would be great.
Bethesda, give us Oblivion and Fallout NV you cowards!
I hope Nintendo shows more of their own stuff. Right now, Fire Emblem is the only thing from them that I am jazzed about. Maybe Pokepeia, if it had a physical copy

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream?
I'd bump up from a 7 to an 8 if Nintendo allowed us to share content
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pragmata For Switch 2?
too much else to play and its a game key card. So maybe on deep discount

Re: Miyamoto Expected "Significant Resistance Internally" To Fox In The Mario Galaxy Movie
being set in space means we should have seen a Samus cameo too. Why not, if Fox is there?
Re: Fox McCloud Blasts Into The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
why is Nintendo actively spoiling the movie?
Re: Hands On: Pokémon Champions Promises Top-Tier Battling, But At What Cost?
if its filled with monetization BS, I'm out.
I do not want to engage with freemium phone game crap where 20 currencies exist and you're nagged to spend real money every time you log in. NOPE

Re: Pokémon Pokopia's Early Success Causes A Surge In Nintendo's Share Price
its really just Animal Crossing with more to do (and a dash of Minecraft).
I'm curious to see if the Animal Crossing team takes any lessons from this game
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Pokopia?
definitely surprised by the quality and fun. But its not made by Game Freak, so that makes sense
Re: Review: Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (Switch 2) - Another Excellent Monstie Collecting Spin-Off
I found the first two games to be too simple and battles were boring. I hope this one is better
Re: Review: Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen (Switch) - Red-Hot Nostalgia In A So-So Wrapper
FR/LG and SS/HG are the high points of the series for me.
FR/LG offers so much more content for the price compared to the Let's Go remakes as well. And without the dumb gimmicks
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, 3rd March 2026
@CJD87 Unfortunately Larian can't port BG3 because of Hasbro being a ***k with licensing
Re: Review: Pokémon Pokopia (Switch 2) - One Of The Most Enticing Pokémon Games Ever
too bad its $70 and not on a cart. I'll wait for a sale

Did I buy one? Yes
Do I know why this exists? No
Re: Pokémon Presents February 2026: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
why Gale of Darkness before Colosseum? I really don't get why the sequel releases first. Also, just "March"? You couldn't be bothered with a specific day?
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite 3DS Model?
New Nintendo 2DS XL by far. My favorite form factor and I never used the 3D function
Re: Nintendo Music Update Adds Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Album, Here's Every Song Included
the 25th Mario soundtrack but still no Xenoblade.
Thanks so much Nintendo

Re: Review: Mario Tennis Fever (Switch 2) - Slim For Singles, But An Addictive Core Gives It Online Legs
this is what I figured. I would never consider it anywhere close to worth this pricepoint then
Re: Chrono Trigger, Xenogears Writer Is Releasing A Brand New RPG On Switch 2
the visual style sucks. Just looks like a generic phone game

@kmtrain83 $50 in the US
Re: Tales Of Arise Comes To Switch 2 In May, Includes Beyond The Horizon DLC
I enjoyed this game. But not sure if I want to play it again
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
Metaphor and Oblivion Remastered are my big wants
Re: Borderlands 4 Switch 2 Development Paused, According To Take-Two
@Spider-Kev definitely not. Borderlands would never be exclusive to any platform
Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch 2 Games
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave - 2026
Wow, really nailed that release window specificity
Re: Borderlands 4 Switch 2 Development Paused, According To Take-Two
@Spider-Kev Borderlands 4? Its already out on other platforms and has been been for 6 months or so
Re: Borderlands 4 Switch 2 Development Paused, According To Take-Two
"This decision won't impact other Switch 2 projects, and 2K will continue to collaborate closely with Nintendo"
2k literally makes nothing else I would buy, aside from Civ
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct May Be Coming As Soon As Next Week
I need more than Fire Emblem to look forward to in 26 from Nintendo. Lets hope there's a lot more
Re: The Next 'Super Mario Galaxy Movie' Nintendo Direct Arrives Sunday, 25th January

who do I have to pay off at EA for a ME Trilogy port?
Re: Review: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Cheap Upgrade, But Lacking Substance
yeah I saw no reason to "upgrade" since the actual content was freely given. I don't need mouse controls
Re: GameStop Kicks Off 2026 By Reportedly Shutting "Hundreds" Of Stores
almost all the stores in my large midwest city in the US are gone now. Its crazy
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2025 - Our Most Played Games
My top 3 were:
Persona 3 Reload
Pokemon ZA
Xenoblade X
I imagine Cyberpunk was very close in 4th.

Nintendo, the company that allows endless hentai bloatware on the eshop? I find it hard to believe
Re: Feature: Games Of The Year 2025 - Nintendo Life Staff Picks
I really need to play Hundred Line. Its on my pile of shame.
My top 5 are:
DK Bonanza
AC Shadows
Ghost of Yotei
Hades 2
Expedition 33
Re: Nintendo Music Update Adds Super Mario's OG Game Boy Outing, Here's Every Song Included
a million Mario soundtracks. No Xenoblade
Re: Fire Emblem Shadows Makes Metacritic's "Worst Games Of 2025" List
its trash and Nintendo should be ashamed of releasing trash
