Dual Sense is $75 with a much stronger feature set, but they are also prone to drifting. At least the OG Switch has a ton of great third-party options on it that are hopefully compatible with this. It will be interesting to see how these hold up. I'll be honest that I'm hoping for some bit of comeuppance for Nintendo, 3DS launch style...but I doubt that will happen. The PS3 and XBONE style hubris isn't a good look.
People said the World Tour Mode was like Yakuza, but it was more like the open world mode in an NBA game or something. Kept feeling like I was going to run into Jake From Statefarm.
@Medic_alert okay. Every single set of those Joycon have drift, but cool story.
The King Kong has hall effect sticks, and so does my Retroid 5. This controller should be $60.
I have three sets of Joycon, 2 Pro Controllers, 8bitdo SNES and Saturn controllers, a Nitrodeck, and a Gulikit Kingkong 2 or 3 or Whatever for my Switch. I have three Dual Sense controllers for the PS5, and a Portal.
The fact that the new Pro controller costs more than a Dual Sense is absurd, and I will be skipping this gen until they fix that. No analog triggers and no hall effect sticks is really telling.
There's still a ton of physical games that I want, and I'm not rewarding Nintendo for trying to be Apple, so I'll stick with my OLED Switch, PS5, and Retroid.
@Dark_Isatari yeah man. I was climbing the mountain and noticed that every stage works forward and backwards, and assumed a Super Metroid style escape was coming up or something . Love that game.
@OtterXPT that proprietary cart was a lot more expensive to produce. They also had to ship it, print manuals and cases, pay for retail and warehouse space, etc. The market was also a lot smaller back then.
I bought Rise of the Robots for $80. Weep for me.
I just wish NRS would break from WB and/or just make that horror fighting game I've wanted since MK IX. Even just remake MK IX. Just leave MK alone, please.
Hype.
The games have vs, practice, and the (translated) PJ story mode is included as well as a bunch of art etc.
That means these are not just the arcade ROMs...
@Dr_Lugae I'm sure Nintendo has a great deal of oversight with these productions, so it's not like Illumination had carte blanche. I understand the reaction, as a dad, but I am also blessed with kids that are smart enough to notice when a piece of entertainment is awful.
God. Just imagine if it were based on 2. As an adult, I can say it would be much more fun to see the kids' reaction to that frickin' fever dream (and much more fun for Mrs Satan and I to use mushrooms with). I'm a little worried Minecraft's success might inform the direction of this, but I also don't care all that much. So long as it is not insulting to my kids I'll be fine.
I haven't been interested in Mario Kart beyond a fun time with the kids for a while now. It's not a fun game in SP, IMO, because the rubber-banding punishes people who play well. That being said, at least I still have fun playing MK. Can't say the same for modern GTA.
@roy130390 I'm an idiot. I didn't even put those together. Congratulations cause you may have just changed someone's mind on the internet. First time to ever happen on the internet...even though I am often wrong. Thanks. That's actually the exact push I needed to give this a shot.
River City Ransom Underground, Girls, and the Three Kingdoms games are all great
@smashbrolink I think it was when the nefarious evil doers' plot was revealed to Obi Wan as he listened in from an evil janitor's closet in an evil hallway. And it just looked awful. I'm not big on Star Wars anyway, and I actually did read the article. I don't have any reason to care if people like a Star Wars or not.
"Attack of the Clones is good, actually," saves me from reading the rest of the article, lol. The only movie I've walked out of partway through.
Anyway, I was actually surprised at how rough the performance was on base PS5. It wasn't doing anything particularly impressive but was still a mess.
I do. I supported GB from the beginning, subbed for as long as I could, and then everyone I went there for left, so now I sub to those people's Patreons. Giant Bomb isn't terrible now or anything, but after a while I won't let myself get invested if an outlet keeps running through people. I've been through 1up, Joystiq, Screwattack, Destructoid (yes it is), and Giant Bomb. And all those were after the magazines I loved died.
@BodkinDQ the SNES cart? You can get repro carts for good prices all over. If you just mean a version of the game, it's not hard to find for free or cheap.
@AussieMcBucket I'm sorry. Purple lanyard water fetus is a hot button issue here in America. I shouldn't get so worked up, but I have KIDS, you know???
Just in time for my raise! Cause the world is fair, and that's how things work and stuff!
Me vote Trump! Purple lanyard water fetus!
(Chews crayon, triumphantly)
Can't really remember a game that HD rumble greatly improved. At least not one I played. It never touched Astro Bot, for instance. I feel like all these accessories are too expensive.

Re: Mario Kart World Producer Answers The Biggest Question Of All: Does Cow Eat Hamburgers?
I don't know man, you can't play as a Stop Sign or like Some Dirt. Game seems like it doesn't even understand what makes Mario Kart iconic.

@XE77 that's really unfortunate and ignorant.

This would be an appropriate time to ask "how do they improve on perfection?" Citing Shinobi 3.

The Switch 2 is so depressing to me. Thank God for indie devs and Doom.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th May)
@Dark_Isatari awesome. Keep with it. It does some incredible things that I don't want to spoil.

@SBandy1 100 percent. That series should be Sega's Smash Bros. Transformed came damn close.

It's looking pretty fun, honestly. Strikes me as smacking less of furry bs than Team Racing.
