@Vyacheslav333 the game just doesn't function like it supposed to in handheld mode. The gyro as a pointer is not usable. So you are essentially playing with one hand and touching the screen to grab star bits. Its awful.

You can be cynical about nostalgia all you want. I really enjoy fun references, usually. It is likely that the devs are referencing older titles in the genre (!!!) because they love those games and grew up with them? Maybe that's why they are making a beat em' up. We didn't get very many for a long time, also, so maybe its cathartic that they can finally make what they want and get it in front of people?
Marvel fans are just the mainstream now, so Im not sure who you are referring to. Who are the real Marvel fans when its mostly homogeneous, processed cheese with McDonald's toys and themed drinks at Starbucks or whatever? I'm reading Midnight Suns, am I allowed to say the designs are okay by me? Or do I need to watch all of the MCU movies that are exactly the same, over and over?
It doesn't sound like you love the genre (!!!) all that much anymore. It sounds like you are burned out on it.

At least someone out there acknowledged the camera problems. I would add that the games simply can not be played how they are intended to be played in handheld mode. The gyro aiming just doesn't work correctly. You can touch the screen to grab the star bits, which is awkward and I don't like touching the screen for anything.
The imagination on display is at the 9/10 level, the games themselves are 8/10, and on Switch I'd struggle to give them a 7. Its a lazy port of games that need work in the first place.

@Untempered-Link The OG Switch has a crazy library. I could get by just on Nintendo games and classic fps with my OLED.

It actually made me squeal w glee. Its the one classic fps I can't get working on any device, and my favorite of the Build games.

@vio they announced that Blood is coming to consoles (including Deathwish) and I lost it. They've turned my Switch into the best console for classic fps. Love it.

Also, Wizordum. It's basically Project Warlock but more high fantasy, so far. Plays great, looks great, and it makes me smile. Recommended.

@CRASH64 what they did with the Cleric and his shield in Hexen is so cool. You can parry, and it deflects projectiles. The hit after parry is really punishing, so its incentivized. Makes the early game a lot more evenly paced.

Guess that is what we are doing tonight. I adore this release.

I landed one of the Neo Geo Super Pockets, so feeling lucky about that. Its not the best for anything that requires a lot of dexterity (especially anything using shoulder buttons), but I mainly got it for the Evercade cartridge slot. I am really happy to play Legacy of Kain on a cart. Manuals and plastic cases are cool too.
Otherwise I have been keeping on Ragebound and Silksong on the Switch. I was playing Outlaws between those more challenging games, but I just have not found the fun in that game. I will give it a few more hours.
