Man, I tried with that first game. The breathless "uh, you know uh, I think those, uh, those guys? I uhhhhhh think those are uh, huh huh, the baddies..." dialog KILLED me.

I had fun with my friends when MW seventh gen came out. After it blew up, it all just got too toxic for me.
I tried BLOPS 2 when I got my WiiU, because so many people told me it had a great campaign and MP. It was...not for me. Walk forward, shoot everyone standing in a line. Walk forward. Cutscene. Walk forward. Cutscene. Shoot people standing in a row, at center screen. Walk forward. Cutscene.
Nope.

@Phelaidar Turok 3 is just a bad game. It was released when everyone was trying to make Half-life again. It fails on most every level.

My youngest adores the first two Turoks, and so do I. We play with cheats and wreck shop. Its a blast.

@Duncanballs yeah I haven't been annoyed by it, probably cause of my own bias. Im fine with that. I like me.

@Duncanballs for me, part of why I love the first Switch is real physical media. I like collecting that way. I think all this stuff (including having to install games) is awful. I just had to accept that I won't own a Switch 2 any time soon and will instead focus on the backlog/collecting.

Anyway, while I agree that almost everything sucks more now, doesnt mean I have to accept when things get worse.

As the guy who has complained about MCU writing since 2013, I guess I have just gotten used to it being everywhere I look. I expect poor writing from video games, also.
I would have preferred an isolated adventure, for sure.

I love the game. I get the complaints, but it is working for me. I will check out the booklet.

I didnt even know what genre this game was. Seems nearly every shot I have seen of it is a cutscene. With the weab title, I figured it was a dating thing or visual novel.

Its a great game that is 100 percent not for me. Love the art, love the idea, hate how it feels.

It's hilarious reading comments about how the open areas were "obvs inspired by BotW." It's literally just Hyrule Field, surrounded by elemental dungeons and all! It's the most OoT game released in ages, and the people pining away for that don't even see it.

@rvcolem1 I left case management w the homeless to do wheelchair transport just recently, so I drive around Denver all day. I can't put into words how careless and stupid some drivers are, lol. Luckily I dont have the road rage thing.

@gojiguy it's more involved than the average Sonic or Musuo game, and at least it's hilarious to boot.

I would rate X-men vs Streetfighter alone over Cosmic Invasion. Great game, but those fighters are legendary.

@Zeldork imagine if "advances in ai" all made us really excited because it meant like a character in a musuo game would fight back or something? Or if a nasty in Dark Souls did something really clever when you tried to trick it with geometry?
Instead it is killing concept artists. Literally when a game is the coolest because fewer hands have touched it, and watered it down?

When the 8 bit Mega Man games were current, I was burned out by MM5. I hope this is rad. I just don't doubt that Gravity Circuit and Shovel Knight perfected it.
