@andykara2003 here here. It's not my favorite of all time (I doubt anything will beat out Rush 2049 or Burnout Legends, imo), but it is a great game and I'd love to see it with modern graphics.

I got the JPN version since it released so much earlier and I am a fan of the PSP games. The sound needs a lot of help. It's just anemic, like half of the effects are missing.

@Otimus the complaints about price are also regarding the fact that it's a remake. To a certain extent, games should be priced according to their budgets.
Music games brought it on themselves, and there's TONS of survival horror out there.

Shrug. Looks like something that you could unlock in the real current gen Starfox game. That they've remade 64 again is pretty damning, imo.

Mina all day for me. I am really enjoying Parking Garage Rally Circuit as well.
Seeing all these Pokopia votes. I wish I enjoyed cozy games. They always just feel so bad to actually play. Even Stardew Valley.

@Ctrl_Alt_Delete oh, I just mean my own collection. I get excited and buy digital day one a lot so I have big holes like Shovel Knight and TotK etc.

I'm sticking with my OLED until I get the physical collection complete. So, most likely a few years still. I believe the Switch 1 has the best library of any console.

If you dig 3D/boost Sonic, this is not some personal attack, k?
I stopped caring for Sonic when Sonic and Pals started talking, and I don't think there has been an even passable 3D entry. It's more of a betrayal of what I imagined than whether the execution was any good, in the case of his voice and 'tude.
I grew up with the first games. I always thought of Sonic as kind of knowing that he was better at most things, and smirking about it quietly. Then he opened his mouth. And even worse his friends started talking.
Let's be honest, ahem: clowns make us uncomfortable cause like why are you so invested in making children like you, right? Sonic gives those vibes. Stay away from my children, Sonic and Pals.
They also take themselves seriously, which is embarrassing. Mario and Sonic is like GWAR vs ICP. Both are totally idiotic...but GWAR is hilarious because they don't take themselves seriously. ICP is embarrassing because they do.
Speaking of music, it used to be amazing and now makes me want to scream and throw a brick through the television. I have never heard a modern/3D/boost tune in the background of a YouTube video, for instance. I sure hear a lot of the classic tunes though.
As far as execution of the 3D gameplay, I mean you can argue with me all day about that. I have never played a boost/3D Sonic that didn't feel terrible. Most also have trash sign-posting and require almost zero input from the player.
1-3, CD, the Rush and Advance games, and Mania are dope though. Hey also (final edit, promise), great article.

@Teksette the gameplay in Cosmos is wonderful. I just wish the sound had more oomph.

I am moved in to my new place but need time to square away the collection and game room. Rn all I have out is this lot.
I have been getting really into the Amiga stuff that I missed and the rare modern Amiga game like Tower 57 and Battle Axe. Man I missed out on a LOT.

They need to kill gkc. It's all that gets talked about on articles etc.

@Rainbowfire what does that have to do with anything? Realistic design is an aesthetic choice. There are literally more and less realistic portrayals of Link across single generations of consoles. Do you believe that Twilight Princess has a more realistic aesthetic than Wind Waker because the GameCube got moar powerfuller?

I need to see him up and moving. I personally prefer spooky Zelda, so I hope they keep things dark and surreal.

@swoose my problem is more the characters and their design with recent entries. I find it hard to take people seriously when they obviously care more about fashion and appearances than anything else in life. Like "cool you are a king of an ancient evil empire and that sililoquy was impressive, but can you tell me where that absolutely fetch purple ascot came from?"
"...it's eggplant, not purple...do I need to repeat my entire speech???"
"Probably BUT WAIT! Is the kind of spindly, spiderweb lookin' crown just like a distressed tiara?"

@Ralizah I think I payed $85 for Dragon Force back on the Saturn lol. Maybe $75 for Sakura Wars.

OoT is a classic and a masterpiece of game design. A gussied up version is fine by me.

Mostly just filling in the Switch 1 backlog. Still some physical copies I need on the Switch.
It would be swell to be excited but Nintendo has jumped the shark afaic.

Made my wife smile, so I am happy about the announcement. Watching her play through Reignited was a joy.

They just don't have the games with the Switch 2, imo. I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games. Crazy idea here, but maybe make a new 3D Mario and Zelda.

@nhSnork I tried with 3 recently. I don't think people remember how often and how awful the banter from Murfy is in that game. Not sure I can get much further than the few hours I have played.

So they put it through a sterilization filter and (most likely) took out the Origins levels. Ubisoft can't even let Rayman have some frickin' dignity. Gross.

Yeah I dunno looks a bit Uncharted to me.

It's a cool game. It doesn't have gyro, so I can't really praise it much more than that. It's a'ight.

I have the games already but ordered physical cause you know this won't be available forever...

@Nao120 Indie games look and play the same. Yup. Prodeus is basically Downwell. Same thing.
I can't even tell them apart. Because I am blind and deaf and play videogames with my elbows.
