@Suketoudara Eh, I think that is just different circles in the case of Mario Kart. Everyone I knew loved Double Dash and thought DS was too safe.

@Itsashame I get a new AAA game like once or twice a year, and the rest are indies and a whole lot of sixth gen and prior. I always say "I didn't ask for path tracing" you know? I get so much more excited for a classic fps or when I remember something I always wanted to try in my backlog. That's definitely part of getting old though, I'm sure.

@Itsashame For me, it's more excited for sixth gen. Games are better than ever, but the publishers make things depressing.

I went with Heretic + Hexen. I'm playing them both on the Switch and the Retroid. Heretic on the Retroid w a fog randomizer, neural upscale, HQOST, and Brutal RPG mods. It's hard to play it elsewhere when I can play it like that, but it's also a lot of fun to see the level differences.

We didn't have tutorials because we had manuals. Another great reason for manuals...

They really should've updated the gameplay in these, include a check box for updates. They still run pretty badly.

There's a problem where the game crashes coming out of sleep mode.
Awesome collection though. I'm very glad people can get introduced to these games. The new parry w the Cleric is great. There's a ton of game in there, too. I'm more a Heretic than Hexen guy, but still love Hexen too. So moody. Highly recommend this package.

Would you be interested in playing this for a few matches if it were a mini game in a Wii Sports style package? Yes. That's as far as my interest extends.

This looks like a proof of concept that didn't quite prove the concept, so maybe if it was part of some kind of sports centered mini game collection that they packed in w the Switch 2...

I remember this, Kirby, and Link's Awakening making me feel like the Gameboy could legit go head to toe w SNES with some of its library. It felt like a legit Metroid game, which I did not expect at all. It was obtuse and hard to navigate at first, but I feel like it all comes together.

@PKDuckman Unreal Gold is so awesome.

You can now parry in Hexen w the Cleric. It's nuts. It deflects projectiles, and the hit after parry is insanely powerful. Completely changed the game and really improves the flow with the Cleric. That Mace has always been rough to start with, and now it's a blast.

Good. Anyone who goes public or sells to a big publicly traded company in the US should absolutely know better. Because every single system that people rely on in this country lies, cheats, and steals.

The voices are different, but still awful. Which begs...what was the point? If they are still bad, why tf replace iconic performances? This thing is wrong all over.

@MikeP House of the Dead Overkill and 2 & 3 Return are amazing on the Wii.

@KevinP It's pretty rough. It's even affected what people I follow. Like I used to be all over Arlo's stuff but I just feel disconnected from any of the Switch 2 enthusiasm. Sucks.

Mina the Hollower is the one I'm excited about, but I don't need to see any more of it to know I am getting it. Other than that, some boom shoots would be nice. Haven't heard anything about Amid Evil Switch port in ages...

@Gamer83 Same. Genesis kid that got into SNES late into 16 bit. I was all about action games, and really did not like RPGs. Then I played FFVI, and realized there was a whole world of games I wrote off. Good stuff.

I was sitting here thinking about a game I missed out on recently, and all this gba talk reminded me of Pipistrello. Awesome. The GBA is one of my favorite consoles of all time.

@batmanbud2 This is something I hear about more than I ever see Silksong fans being annoying. Same w people that complain about Undertale fans...

I don't have a dog in the fight w Nintendo and probably won't until at least an OLED Switch 2 is out for a while. I'm expecting a wholllllle lot of old games running at 20-40 fps.
