DQ9 was my only foray into the series, and while I enjoyed it, it didn't grab me like the best Final Fantasy games did. Will I get this one? We'll see. 100+ hours...
I actually enjoyed the Plague of Shadows campaign more than the first run through with the title character. Hopefully YC will give this new one the same treatment.
It would be nice if Reggie could at least say a few words like, "While we are flattered by this remake, which is clearly an act of deep admiration, we hope our fans recognize that we have to protect the IPs that they have come to know and love."
YWW, Pikmin, and SMM are all good, and I'm pleased that they're coming to 3DS, but I can't say I'm really excited about any of the announcements. Hope others are, though.
So much for Nintendo supposedly focusing on building relationships with third-party developers, as they've been claiming for years. Another fail, Reggie.
Reggie is essentially saying that his company made a top-notch product, and that he himself was a primary reason why it failed (i.e., lack of communicating its potential and uniqueness to consumers). If he truly believes this, he should resign.
Nintendo stock would get a boost into the stratosphere if it simply tossed Reggie and his mind-numbing heaps of failures into the sewer where they belong.
Another welcome shift would be hitting the eject button on Reggie's reign of insanity at NOA. How many unbelievable failures does he have to tally before the suits in Kyoto wake up and flush him down the toilet?
Wow, this is great. It's almost as if Nintendo should have done this themselves years ago for 3DS VC releases, instead of just shoving them on a shelf like a can of beans. But what am I saying; that would require Nintendo actually giving a whit about their customers.
@gatorboi352 Totally agree. My guess is that Nintendo's whole commitment/delusion to saying that it's a "toy company" and not a video game company comes primarily from him. That's the mentality that gives us wacky gimmicks that my ass is tired of.
I certainly had fun on the N64 - Mario64 and OoT blew our minds; Starfox64 and GoldenEye defined competitive multiplayer; and Perfect Dark and Shadow of the Empire proved strange, wonderful tokens - but, honestly I have no desire to play these games ever again. Unlike every other Nintendo console, N64 games have aged horribly, and I consequently can't stand to revisit them. Fun memories, historical artifact, but that's it.
I wonder if Reggie will take a cue from this and revamp the NOA website, or if he's content to let it continue being a pile of garbage like everything else he touches.
I'm very happy for my friends in the UK. Now only if Reggie can stop failing at everything he touches and begin tuning in to what the NOA consumer base wants too.
Given the monumental expectations for and tepid reality of the game (what one can legitimately deem a failure), I feel sympathy for Inafune. Granted, he could have continued to delay its release, but he probably realized that only by starting from scratch could it have lived up to his, and our, expectations - additional delays which the market had no patience for, and the company's coffers couldn't justify (remember, they don't have Nintendo's deep pockets). So we get a mediocre game; oh well. Let's see what he comes up with in the future.

No N3DS VC, no thank you.
Re: Sega 3D Classics Dev M2 Is Developing The Legend Of Dark Witch 3 For 3DS
M2 seems to put more effort into their small-scale games for 3DS than Nintendo.

Garbage.
Re: Feature: Future Nindie Hits for the eShop - October to December
Punch Club looks amusing. Maybe yes.

Beautiful game, but it just didn't have the fun of X1.

Thank you, Konami!
Re: Nintendo of America Issues Takedown Request on AM2R, Ending the Project

Garbage in, garbage out.
Re: Video: Nintendo of America Maintains a Marketing Focus on Evergreen 3DS Titles
I'm astounded by how confused Reggie is. What used car dealership did this guy work at before coming to NOA?
Re: Samus is the Latest Hero to Get a My Nintendo 3DS HOME Theme
Another disgusting failure from Reggie. He's addicted to disappointing NOA's market.
Re: Rumour: Detachable NX Controllers Will Offer Wii-Like Motion Control And Advanced Force Feedback
If the NX fails, I wonder if Reggie will again detach himself and pretend that his own staggering incompetence wasn't a reason.
Re: We Have To Do A Better Job Of Explaining The Uniqueness Of NX, Admits Reggie
All I hear anyone say is that Reggie has no idea what he's doing.
Re: Eidos Montreal "Never Thought About The NX" For Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
So much for Nintendo supposedly focusing on building relationships with third-party developers, as they've been claiming for years. Another fail, Reggie.
Re: Italian Bishop Likens Pokémon GO To Nazism, Claims It Turns Players Into "Walking Dead"
It seems as though this poor fellow suffers from fear of the unknown, which, ironically, was one of the primary factors that fueled nazism.

Point taken. I retract my comment.
Re: Metroid is 30 Years Old Today
I wonder what plans Reggie has to ruin Metroid for us.
Re: Celebrate 30 Years of Metroid With The Fan-Made "AM2R"
Wow, this looks like something every Nintendo fan would want. No doubt Reggie will make sure to kill it as soon as humanly possible.
Re: Legend of Kusakari Releases in the West on 25th August
I get the aesthetic, but it makes me cringe all the same. I hope everyone else likes it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th August (North America)
Absolute garbage. Way to go, Reggie; another failure.
Re: Nintendo Continues to Promote Evergreen 3DS Titles With the 'Summer Gaming List'
Looks like Reggie's at it again. Lots of ideas; no good ones.
Re: Reggie Fils-Aime on Why the Wii U Was Misunderstood
Reggie is essentially saying that his company made a top-notch product, and that he himself was a primary reason why it failed (i.e., lack of communicating its potential and uniqueness to consumers). If he truly believes this, he should resign.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th July (North America)
To anyone who is unfamiliar with Legend of the Mystical Ninja, I strongly encourage you to check it out. It's a great game.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U and 3DS Games of 2016 - Summer Edition
I'm surprised the votes for Axiom Verge are so low. No Metroid fans?
Re: Takedown Notice May Spell the End for Digger Dan DX
Unbelievable. Reggie yet again demonstrates his utter disdain for Nintendo's fans. I can see why everyone calls him a flaming pile of garbage.
Re: Scott Moffitt is Leaving Nintendo
Undoubtedly, Moffitt couldn't stand working for Reggie one more day. He was probably on the verge of suicide having to take orders from that maniac.
Re: Video: The Play Nintendo Show Makes Its YouTube Debut
Featuring Reggie's face on the screen like that almost made me vomit.

Re: Nintendo NX Has A Core Idea Which Doesn't Just "Follow Advancements In Technology", Claims Miyamoto
I try to read every announcement about the NX with optimism, but I wind up just groaning. The signs look bad.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd June (North America)
Glad to see Capcom continues on the N3DS VC...now we just need some Mega Man X.

Fascinating. I am confident this statement will never come back to bite this guy.

Now only if Reggie would lay it plain and admit to his own mountain of miserable failures.

@Allspice Great! Thanks for the tip.

This is great news. I'm so glad Reggie didn't stop this from coming Stateside. He must have been busy failing at other things.
Re: E3 2016: Nintendo Unveils Massive E3 eShop Sale in North America
Smells like Reggie yet again proves he has no idea what he's doing. I can see why everyone says he's a disgusting failure.
