I wonder what would happen if HQ put NOA on the same standard as NOK. Reggie's flaming pile of garbage would be out on the street. Kyoto must be so ashamed that they hired him; I feel sorry for them.
The Wii remote was garbage, period. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Nintendo should - as it once did - focus innovation on games (environments, structure, narrative, style, character, etc.), and less on hardware. Instead, it has shifted toward the opposite, leaving us with rehash after rehash of IPs, and tiresome hardware gimmicks.
This is exactly the kind of deranged thinking that led to the disastrous Sykes-Picot Agreement. Everyone is saying they're not going to buy games from companies that cave to pressure from Nintendo like this.
This is going to be an even bigger failure than the Wii controller. 20 years from now, there'll be a documentary about which landfill Nintendo dumped all of its NX controllers into.
Too bad Yoshi's New Island was such a pile of leavings. I had high hopes for that game. The original SNES adventure got everything right - and, might I add, had the best final boss in the entire series up to that point.
The main reason I never finished TP was because I just got tired of the motion controls. This game was the point at which the novelty of the gimmick just wore off for me. In the words of Margaret Thatcher, "I [hate the Wii's motion controls, and I always will]."
I can't believe everyone keeps saying that Nintendo is a lousy failure of a company, barely holding on to shreds of its former self, that it sadly chases gimmickry over true innovation, that it ignores its dwindling fan base, that its management is blind and deaf, that it can't make good games anymore, that it scares little children. I feel very bad.
I would absolutely love to inhabit Hyrule or Zebes just as much as anyone, but I'm wary of Nintendo's approach to VR at this point.
Somewhat relatedly, I'd like to see Nintendo try to be innovative with its games, rather than with its hardware. It strikes me as self-defeating that they've come up with tiresome new gimmicks for its last couple platforms, only to produce the most conservative franchise games for them. To me, the success of the Wii seems like an accident; for what it was, it should have been as big a failure as the Wii U.
Another bunch of nothing for the 3DS - and amazingly, I'm still not used to it! I keep expecting something good to be released, but nope, Nintendo doesn't seem to give a hoot. Curious too, since it seems hell-bent on releasing as many VC games for the Wii U as it can, a system which is currently on death row, rather than the system of theirs that still has some mileage left.

Re: Nintendo UK Staffs Up Following High Ranking Departures
Nintendo UK really seems to know what they're doing. Too bad the constantly failing Reggie and his circus of insanity don't seem able to take note.

IGN's Jose Otero more astutely pointed out this game's astonishing number of failings. Complete garbage; deserves its own landfill.

Re: The Game Boy Advance is Now 15 Years Old
Beautiful little piece of hardware. Only downside was the sound; too crunchy and tinny.
