Proof once again that Reggie considers his U.S. customer base like they're bottom-feeding garbage eaters.

I can't wait to read Reggie's embarrassingly buffoonish explanation about how not producing enough units was wise company policy, and in fact was "what the fans wanted."

It's absolutely disappointing and frustrating that there are no plans to bring this to the many Mana fans outside of Japan. It brings me back to the mid-90s, when I picked up a copy of EGM which announced that SD3 was officially coming Stateside - only to find out the next month that those plans were scrapped...Still hurts.

I'm hopeful because of the calibre of talent making this game, but something just seems missing... Like it's a calculated, pretty game, but all polish and not much underneath. Bah, I hope I'm wrong on that.

For me, it all depends on how many classic games are made available once this thing really gets into gear. If it's always going to be three rotating games (one gold, one silver, one bronze/garbage), then I'll pass. If, on the other hand, it becomes a Netflix-like library of dozens of games, then I'm in.

I'm glad that some people are excited for this game, but the aesthetics of it are a huge turn-off for me. Pass.

My guess is that "strong support" means two, maybe three, 3DS games from Nintendo this year. Likely mediocre slop like Federation Force or that crappy Zelda puzzle thing.

Reggie's comment may not satisfy the faithful, especially those who, like me, were unable to find an NES Classic, but he didn't have to make the comment at all. It was a courtesy, and a (sort-of) apology for something he in all likelihood had minimal control over.

Terrible news. Clearly Takeda-san couldn't bear the humiliation of working for the same company as Reggie one more day.

Why is Reggie obsessed with making the lives of all Nintendo fans an endless cycle of doom and disappointment? He spends every waking moment scheming and lying in order to lead us into his wretched bog of evil.

Reggie clearly orchestrated a campaign to trick everyone into buying this piece of crap, knowing full well that it was broken. Thanks to NintendoLife, however, his slimy evil plan was thwarted.

Thousands of people are demanding that Reggie slither back into his slimy lair and let amazing, joyful games like these reach true Nintendo fans.

I wonder how many sleepless nights Reggie has spent conniving and fantasizing about ways to destroy the hopes and dreams of all Nintendo fans.

Reggie will surely see this as yet another opportunity to sink his filthy claws into the hopes of all U.S. Nintendo fans and rip them to shreds.

I'm really happy for my brothers and sisters in the UK, that they don't have to endure Reggie's terror. He would undoubtedly burn all this merch before letting any Nintendo fans buy this in the U.S.

No doubt, Reggie will vigorously lobby Nintendo HQ to not bring this to the U.S. He's become totally unhinged.

This is great news for Nintendo and its fans, to be sure, since it appears that initial interest in the Switch appears to be robust. That said, it would be overreaching to claim that, based on preliminary data, it is already more popular than, say, Wii, or even N64. For one, neither of those systems had the same first-month supply that Switch has had; secondly, as has been pointed out by a few others here, it's the long game that counts. Does the system have mileage? I hope so, but the proof of that remains to be seen.

Remember the 3DS? Yeah, me neither.

This was a planned move by Nintendo, but it may backfire badly. Of course they made sure to have more day-one inventory than they did for Wii so that they could make this claim. They knew ahead of time that the initial sales for Switch would be higher based on pre-orders. The coming weeks and months may paint a very different picture if sales pivot to a steep decline in momentum, resulting in some very negative press. That said, I hope that the Switch continues to sell well, but this was a gamble. They want to have evidence that it is more popular than the Wii, but if that doesn't play out, the haters are going to come out in droves.

Yacht Club are masters of level design and detail. Can't wait.

As an old-school JRPG fan, I can't resist this, even if the review is lukewarm. Definitely a buy.

Don't get me wrong, I like Nintendo, but when things like this happen, I understand why so many people call it a confused, dysfunctional company that just makes garbage products and steals people's money. Those people should remember the magic of Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.

No, I don't agree that Nintendo is "a lying, cheating scam of a company." I mean, I get why people keep saying that over and over, and why they're so fed up with Nintendo for every decision they make, but I don't know, maybe things will change(?).

ALBW was one of the best games I've ever played, easily among my top 3 Zelda games.

I'm really impressed by how light it is. Less than .5 kg with the joycons? Wow.

There are a host of reasons why this polling data should be taken with a huge grain of salt. Although I personally agree that the Switch is priced too high, it would be foolish of me to go around saying "Sixty percent of Japanese gamers agree with me and believe the Switch is too expensive [and therefore won't buy it!]" Let's use our brains, please.

The art style and character designs for ARMS are embarrassingly bad, imo. It's not cute, cool, or even imaginative, just blah awkward.

It was discounted for Europe and Australia, but not the U.S. for some reason.

The 3DS's graphics are definitely showing their age, but it's a solid little system with an amazing library. And with its large user base, Nintendo would be wise to continue releasing more excellent games for it in the future. Star Fox 64 3D just needs a price drop! I'm still waiting on that one.

I played the XBC on the 3DS, and while it's a beautiful game with a compelling world, I just couldn't get into it. I'm open to the Switch version, for sure, but it's not on my "must" list.
