I haven't pre-ordered, but I will probably get one. What draws me, in addition to the obvious Zelda, is Setsuna, Sonic, Street Fighter Ultra, and Octopath Traveler.

If HD wiggle stays a tangential feature that enhances gameplay, then fine. But if motion controls are forced down our throats as a primary means of manipulating essential functions, no thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy lighthearted, fun games just as much as anybody, but for some reason 1-2-Switch just looks stupid to me. No chance I'll be buying this, not at $20, and certainly not at $50 or $60.

With Nintendo's need for a surefire hit, I question their decision to bet on a hope that they will recreate a significant market for casual gaming that requires an outlay of at least $350 for a light party game experience. I wonder what, if any, market research they did that told them this was a wise decision.

I'm guessing this means "same game but with motion controls." Barf.

I guess I'm more surprised than anything. I was under the impression that Nintendo had been dedicating significant resources for a while toward developing games for the first year of Switch, but I'm just not seeing evidence of that here. I mean, if they're consolidating 3DS and Wii U teams toward a unified system, one would hope for a larger offering of games, right? This seems like a release calendar on par with WiiU, which is to say a trickle.

It kind of pissed me off when Reggie "incredulously" pointed to the thousand-dollar part of the question, as though we Nintendo fans don't spend that much money. For all his listening, he seems to be out of touch with the fanbase.

After yesterday's Switch reveal, I might go with a PS4 and buy it on that.

I finally just realized that the Switch is basically a 50/50 mutant child of Wii and WiiU's designs. I guess my hope that it was actually going to be something new blinded me to that until now.

I was planning on getting a Switch on its release date, but when I saw the renewed commitment to motion controls, I could only sigh in disappointment. I'm going to wait a few months now after its release to see how much they tie themselves down with idiotic dingle-dongle motion controls (again).

It appears I'm in a small minority here, but I've really enjoyed the 3D feature. Granted, it only works properly on the N3DS, but I use it pretty much all the time when I'm playing.

Not surprised, but certainly disappointed. P4G was one of the best games I've ever played, bar none. Hopefully this doesn't indicate an emerging trend on Atlus/Sega's part to distance itself further from Nintendo consoles.

I'm hopeful that a strong product will win the day despite the force of nature that is Reggie's staggering incompetence.

I can't believe the vote is so high for "Carry on as normal; same pricing and approach." Are that many people pleased with the virtual console, and think that there's nothing to improve upon?

This Bowser guy seems open-minded, creative, competent, and tuned in to what customers want. That's the complete opposite of everything I've heard about Reggie.

As economists say, if it's free, then you are the product.

This is the kind of game-centric innovation that Nintendo would do well to refocus its attention toward, much more so than gimmicky hardware parlor tricks.

Great console, great games. Just too bad that NOA had such inept, incompetent leadership that had no idea how to sell a fantastic product to its potential market of 100 million customers.

I know everyone wants to blame Reggie for this, which is understandable given his mountain of failures, but this is a supply problem from Nintendo HQ.

SD3, in my opinion, was the most beautiful game ever to grace the SNES. I was (and am) a huge Secret of Mana fan, and if this was ever released legitimately, I would buy two copies just to thank the developers.

Nothing exciting from that entire list. Just a lot of mediocre junk.
