Luckily I am not worried about any of this because I already pretty much "finalized" my 3DS collection a long time ago, and my Wii U has had all the games I wanted for a while as well.
@Askalt Considering how Sony has managed to make their PS5 consoles readily available for anyone who wants one, this is just an embarrassment for Nintendo by this point, it's making them look incapable and incompetent.
Well if they will never be able to get it together to make a freakin controller available, I will just forget about ever getting their NSO expansion plan ever again. What a waste. Get your **** together Nintendo! Nobody else in the industry has this problem right now.
Fishing games have always been an odd interest of mine (since I never really had an interest in fishing), for some reason I just find them relaxing and fun for a change of pace. I think Sega Bass Fishing and Big the Cat's missions in Sonic Adventure is what originally got me into them.
So they're releasing it despite world peace not being achieved. This makes the reason for delaying it before completely pointless. They literally achieved nothing besides wasting everyone's time, pissing off fans, and essentially dooming the franchise.
I'd say just good gameplay presentation with a minimal approach to story and exposition. It's like I don't want to be trying to soak in a game's story until I have some concept of if I am going to enjoy playing the game or not, if I am going to put time into a story I want to be playing the full experience. I mean if it's story intensive give me a good taste of what it's like, but don't go overboard.
@blindsquarel Yeah, probably. I always thought it was the goofiest looking thing how so many "gamer chairs" try to look like racing seats from a sports car, complete with those two shoulder openings they have that are intended for racing harnesses.
@blindsquarel Well who died and say you gotta play video games while sitting in an office chair? Whatever happened to couches and armchairs? I feel like the entire concept of a "gaming" office chair is something that appeals to the hardcore competitive gaming crowd that is usually on a desktop PC.
At $800 this is something I could actually consider, especially if I could knock a few hundered off buying it on sale. At $1,700 the other chair is just a joke though, that's what I'd be paying for some serious furniture, not a gamer chair lol.
No Man's Sky struggles to run at 30fps even with it's low-res potato settings, often having bad frame drops with terrible pop-in. The Switch is definitely the issue, there is only so much that can be achieved with such dated mobile hardware.
@Darknilious Yeah that's exactly how I feel. Considering the way Nintendo couldn't even give us the 1+2 remake for over a year, because politics or something stupid like that, all my hopes in them properly supporting the series has been lost.
@CurryPowderKeg79 Yeah their stuff is for a special breed of collector, that's for sure. Even if price wasn't an issue, I don't know where I would put most of it.
I definitely had my doubts on how this game would even run on the Switch, and how it would look, as the Steam Deck can really struggle with it at times, and some compromises need to be made there to get it to run smoothly. One of those miracle ports that might have been too ambitious.
@Anti-Matter Yeah I really don't think it's aged well, the concept was a lot more unique and interesting back in the PS1 era, but now a days there's far better turn based strategy games with mechs.
So what do people still use amiibos for? I remember they were kinda neat back in the Wii U and 3DS era, but I have never really used mine on the Switch.
@Rykdrew That is actually very true. Cyberpunk is an example of a game that was rushed to market that eventually became the great game it was hyped up to be. Pokemon S&V is an example of a game that was rushed to market that is probably always going to feel like a rushed game.
I think 2019 was the best, the Switch was in full swing, still felt new and high-tech, and had some good quality of life updates by then. The library was just peaking as well.
Finally, someone acknowledging how 1080 Snowboarding was a thing. If there is anything I miss, it's Nintendo making games like that. I honestly still think it's probably the best snowboarding game ever made, something about the way it feels to control your snowboarder, the challenge of simply making it down the mountain in time, there is nothing else quite like it.
If there is anything I would like to see Nintendo make, it would be another 1080. I would definitely prefer it if they made it more like the N64 original compared to the Gamecube sequel, which lacked the feel that I loved about the original.
Big difference between the user score and critic score here. I know I was very disappointed with this deluxe remaster myself, honestly preferring the look of the original Wii version, especially considering how they're charging $60 for this.
@gcunit Same. This definitely comes off as one of those reviews where the wrong person reviewed it. Like you can tell this game just wasn't something for them.
@WiltonRoots I'm guessing they're going to make some changes to the way they'll approach the development of upcoming COD games to ensure it'll work.
I am also wondering if Microsoft knows something that the rest of us don't, like some sort of non-disclosure agreement they got with Nintendo on a Switch successor or something. Undoubtedly they are going to be working far more closely with Nintendo from here on out.
@MontyCircus Yup, it seems like the cheap thrills Dave N Busters format is basically what most modern arcades have become. I am not even interested in that, just seems like a waste of money.
Back when I was growing up, by the time I was going to arcades in the late 90's and early 00's arcades were just incredible, truly the peak of arcade gaming even though that was just before their steep and sharp decline. The place I went to the most had go karts, I would always go there to race them with my dad then I would hang out in the arcade for a few hours later spending $10 worth of tokens or something. It was incredible, one of those massive arcades with all the GOAT machines from the era. Definitely one of the cool things about growing up back then.
@Eagly Well that's good and all but a lot of those are old games by now or sequels to the same few IP's.
Fact remains that Nintendo hasn't been making the kind of games that excite me lately. If you have a different take, well good for you, but that doesn't change my stance.
@Eagly Umm I expressed a desire to have something new from them or for them to revisit some of their IP's that they have long been sidelining. How is that me being against everything they make just because I am tired of Kirby and Fire Emblem games?
@Aswannsong Umm all these contracts are legally binding under the pretense that they're buying it. Odd how you want to deny over 100 million Nintendo users Call of Duty just because you have some weird personal issue with Microsoft, that's just toxic and selfish.
@Rykdrew Yeah I feel ya, Nintendo games have gotten pretty stale for me this gen outside of the occasional Mario game. It seems like all they focus on these days is just Metroid, Kirby, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and overpriced remasters. Gone are the days when we would get fun and interesting IP's like 1080, WaveRace, and F-Zero.
Can't even get excited about the latest remasters like Metroid Prime and Kirby Return to Dreamland, they just feel unnecessary and unnecessarily expensive.
Imagine being upset over Call of Duty finally making it's way back to Nintendo for the first time since Black Ops 2 on the Wii U. Some of ya'll are letting your biases blind you to the benefit this presents for Nintendo gamers.
@Bunkerneath Sounds like somebody was a big fan of cool and obscure Japanese arcade machines. I would have loved to have a place like that nearby, now a days I only see nice big arcades in big tourism spots in big cities.

I've got 5 in total. Two 2DS's, one original 3DS, one original 3DS XL, and a New 3DS XL.
Re: Samba De Amigo: Party Central Welcomes Sonic To The Maraca Mayhem
@TheTSTGuy I always felt like the Sonic Adventure soundtracks were under-appreciated. They're still memorable to me after all these years.

Re: Nintendo Switch Successor Chip Rumours Are Doing The Rounds Again
Well Nintendo does desperately need a Switch successor or at the very least a "pro" model. This is the update that I have been waiting for.

There's Pokemon games on the Wii U? I don't remember there being much besides Rumble U.

I played this on GamePass a while back and I was not impressed, it totally felt like a cheaply made indie game.

It seems ridiculous how an N64 controller is harder to buy than a PS5 at this point.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Official MAR10 Day Switch Console Bundle

Sure the OLED would be better, but this bundle would save me about $110, and I doubt he would care.
