Re: Soapbox: Sony's Insane PS5 Pro Price Highlights The Delicate Balance Nintendo Must Strike With 'Switch 2'

Yup, agreed. Sony seems to have forgotten how game consoles should be affordable. I doubt Nintendo will make this mistake though, bet the Switch 2 will be $400, definitely $500 or less at most. Thanks to Sony, that will seem cheap.

I mean come on, the PS5 Pro is $700 without a disc drive or vertical stand. With those two things added +tax it's nearly $900. NINE HUNDRED US DOLLARS! Even more expensive for people in Europe apparently. What a joke!

@ShonenJump121 Yeah I think they look great, they got a nice subtle contrast with the dark blue and dark purple, and the Zelda themed gold trim around the sticks and buttons is nice. Looks great next to my Animal Crossing edition 2nd gen Switch which also has a somewhat subtle contrast between the two joycons.

Re: Soapbox: How Does Your Personality Affect Your Gaming?

I would say hugely. It's like asking how someone's personality impacts their music choices. When it comes to video games I am largely pursuing my interests, there is no shortage of critically acclaimed games and entire genres even that do nothing for me.

Re: Feature: How Nintendo Switch Is Being Used By A New Generation Of Therapists

Wow, great article on the changing attitude about video game from mental health professionals. The boomer generation always seemed to have a lot of hostility or dismissal towards video games, thinking of them as something that was bad for mental health and simply addictive. I am glad that such attitudes seem to be getting lost as younger generations step up as professionals, with them embracing the technology as opposed to trying to oppose it. Turns out that when you embrace video games and actually try to understand their appeal there's a lot of good that can be done and they can be therapeutic as well. In a changing world, where kids are clearly different than they were 50 years ago, we need to be more accepting of their interests and understanding in the appeal. The more you try to fight kids on their interests, the more you ultimately lose them and become out of touch.
