Two of the best games of 2023. Can't wait!

Getting and real sick and tired of waiting up to a month+ longer than other consoles for games/DLC because of Nintendo's ridiculous "certification process", whatever the hell that entails.

Got my PS2 on day 1 actually. If you think those graphics look beter than THUG 2 or American Wasteland, I would suggest an appointment with an optometrist ASAP. I suppose you think the generic stock music sounds great too??

Those graphics would have looked bad 20 years ago on a PS2. Silky smooth frame rate indeed.

You didn't list it here, but Astro Miner is another 99 cent mobile game that dropped, that I would recommend if you have a buck in points. Good brain dead game to play while you zone out and listen to podcasts.

This saved the Indie World from being a complete bust for me.

The Switch Up video you're talking about was a paid sponsorship video, paid for by the devs/publishers of Ebenezer to promote the game.

Not handing off your main franchise entries to mid-tier devs like Arzest would be a good place to start.

Why on god's green earth would I buy a sequel when they couldn't even get the first game running half way decent??

I have no issue with easier games, but man Detective Pikachu for 3ds felt like it was specifically made for much younger gamers (like under 10), which is fine, there's just not much there for older gamers to enjoy unless they happen to be huge fans of Pikachu. "Perfect for parents to enjoy with their kids" sums it up great.

It's a Pushmo clone/ripoff for sure, but it's worth it for the budget price if you're a big fan of that series imo. This game at least feels like it was made by fans of the series, and not a shovel company crapping out unplayable garbage. .

It 100% needs it, if they want my business.

We're still getting DLC this year, just not The Iron Rig.

As a Latino man, caucasians using the term "latinx" offends me much much much more than a lack of representation. The term actually offends the majority of latinos so I'd strongly encourage you to not use it. You may think you're being inclusive, but you're actually erasing my heritage and identity and replacing it with some english word that sounds like it was invented in a boardroom. At the very least, please do some research before you continue to use that term.

I enjoyed the demo and plan on buying this..... but I'm kinda tired of buying Devolver Digital games for full price and watching them get a deep discount a month or two after release, so I'm going to wait on a sale for this one.

It's just like Cuphead.... except significantly worse in every possible aspect.

Glad it was delayed, now all of the potential Switch customers have the opportunity to read the overwhelmingly negative reviews of the PS5/XBX/Steam version and avoid this steaming pile.

Vampire Survivors isn't a bullet hell, it's a "reverse bullet hell"... and despite the similar names, the gameplay between the two is actually quite different.

I would have been all over this at $20

Not having real teams or players is just too big a negative for me. Tecmo Bowl wouldn't have been the same without Bo Jackson or Montana to Rice.

I understand why they can't have real teams/players, but they could have gone as close as possible and gave the option to edit player names.... E.g. what they did for Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on SNES. Or even the ability to import rosters from other players.

Disappointing to see the mediocre reviews it's getting. The pixel art looks truly stunning, but the QTE based gameplay sounds like a real stinker.

AI is harmless and has been turned into a boogeyman by people that have no idea what AI even is/does.

There's a fine line between inspiration and imitation. This looks like its' trying to be a 1:1 Jet Grind Radio clone. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but is this game bringing anything original to the table?

The game is very reasonably priced, it's an incredible game worth every penny. Not too mention it was made by a SOLO indie developer. There is not a group of people in the video game industry that need and deserve our support more than indie devs.

Please please please, I beg you NL, STOP putting strategy guide articles in the NEWS section. Firstly, it makes avoiding spoilers much harder than it should be, and secondly it makes finding actual news articles on NL an absolute chore.

I buy every game that Draknek puts out, and haven't been disappointed yet.

SFII Turbo on SNES is still the greatest fighting game of all time.

Yeah those vids almost got me too. I have no issues with sponsored videos, but they really need to make it a little more clearer.

Anyways, game is published by Untold Tales, their games almost always go on sale for next to nothing not long after they're released. If anyone is interested in this game I'd recommend just wish listing and waiting the inevitable deep discount.

So they're great co-op games, but are they still worth it solo, or is it a Castle Crashers type game where playing solo significantly reduces the fun? If it's an 8/10 with co-op, what would it score if it had no co-op at all??
