Re: Atelier Yumia Scores Free Demo Next Week, While New Trailer Dives Into Gameplay

IceEarthGuard

Really looking forward to this game! So far the gameplay looks really good. If there is difficulty setting, I'm going to put it on the hardest setting, because unfortunately the enemies that are shown doesn't seem to do too much, unless these are just beginning enemies, and the enemies will get harder to beat later on, then that would be great. (And I don't mean increase the health significantly only, where they are just an "hp sponge.")

(And you know what is strange? This game gets to have Swimsuit dlc, and the new Neptunia game can't...?)

Re: Capcom Provides Update On Game Changes In 'Fighting Collection 2'

IceEarthGuard

@timschel Never said rating boards tells you to change things, but rating boards should keep the same rating for older games the same is what I am getting at. And if you did not realize, the time changes and different people working on things have been forced in many countries, it's not a natural change when the majority of big companies in the west start doing almost the same policies at the same time. And not natural for them to keep pressuring other countries to do the same. That is called globalism, and globalism is a failed concept. There is no variety in that, and I believe variety is key to life.

Re: Capcom Provides Update On Game Changes In 'Fighting Collection 2'

IceEarthGuard

@timschel The devs are actually probably being "forced" aka being told to make the changes though. Via either from the higher ups or the rating board is refusing the rating that the company wants. (Or I won't be surprise if they are being pressured from outside of Japan.) So censorship is what is going on here.

Regardless of what people say, censoring video games or any fictional entertainment from the past into the future is never okay in any shape or form.

To compromise, I suggest companies have a toggle in the option menu to have the original and censored/changed version so people can choose their version to play. But that shouldn't be a thing, but I guess it should be a thing now I guess.

Re: Skullgirls Dev Is Off The Game, Taking Legal Action Against Publisher

IceEarthGuard

Skullgirls lost it's original identity. It's been stolen. The mobile game is just bad. It's not going to last long with how they made it.

Like seriously, a mobile fighting game that is really unbalance, it's not fun. Up your stats so much and you can take down the AI in a couple of punches in the story/campaign mode, while they have to hit you way more to KO you. Who can enjoy a fighting game like that? Just a cash grab with no substance in the gameplay.

Re: Analyst Fears U.S. Tariffs Could Spell Disaster For Physical Games

IceEarthGuard

@LastFootnote Where to go. Left wing news places is all propaganda too in there different ways.

If you listen to certain left wing media on their takes with the right wing media, they play with your sadness/fear emotion a lot of the times. The way they talk makes you fear the right wing media. They pick out like a couple of things that the right wing media says and warp it into emotional fear.

All this fear will lead to unnecessary conflict.

If you are just watching only one side only, it's just going to be a huge misunderstanding, and divide people. So it's best to compare the two.

For me I rather listen to someone who talks about both positives and negatives on both sides rather only negatives on this side only, and positive on this side only, because one side isn't going to be positive all the time. Governments from any party will make their mistakes.

Re: Mario + Rabbids Director Recalls "Harsh" Ubisoft Comment On 'Sparks Of Hope'

IceEarthGuard

"With the first game, nobody was really trying to stop me. Because nobody was expecting anything from Kingdom Battle, I had a lot of freedom. But because the first one was a big success, Sparks of Hope was way harder to develop than Kingdom Battle. There was too much overthinking about it all around me."

And this is one of the reasons that you should not do in game development. Let the developers focus on the sequel themselves, with more freedom for sequels, etc. And you may just get another success. Don't rely on outsiders to make changes to games (aka shareholders, etc.)

Re: New Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Trailer Is Our Best Look Yet At The Upcoming Remaster

IceEarthGuard

@TomSupreme It's a video game, it's fiction, it's a story, that's the point.

Those arguments that I gave should count.

You guys obviously picture these characters as if they are in this reality as if they are "real," which makes no sense. I view fictional characters as if it's in another dimension with different social norms and different standards to life. That is the point of the fantasy genre.

Re: New Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Trailer Is Our Best Look Yet At The Upcoming Remaster

IceEarthGuard

@TomSupreme That is only one view point of many. There are several. For example, there are people who doesn't play the game for this kind of content in a game, but they just hate censorship in general. Then there are people who respects the original creator's vision for a game. And then there is the it's just fiction argument (which is a valid argument, because not everyone gets emotional about certain themes in a game, and if you react bad to it, then it isn't game for you, and imo the normal reaction is to let it be and let it be a thing and ignore it.) Then there are people who are like me, where my fantasy mind will never become a reality. Basically contents in a video game ain't gonna change my personality to become someone awful in society. (Well I do want to explore space, that part I do want to be a reality.)

Re: New Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Trailer Is Our Best Look Yet At The Upcoming Remaster

IceEarthGuard

My comment was not inappropriate. Clearly you didn't understand what I truly meant. I was following the rules correctly.

And this is what I was talking about. Censoring a harmless comment because you disagree is never a good look for anyone. Reread my comment please, because I don't think you read it all. If I have to delete that last comment on my first paragraph, I will do that, it wasn't an attack on anyone, I should have been more clear on what I meant there.

So I hope you delete this comment, and bring back my original so I can edit it.

Re: New Tactical RPG From Danganronpa & Zero Escape Creators Scores A Demo

IceEarthGuard

@FantasiaWHT Just simply hit the windows key and close the game window (either by clicking the X or right clicking the game tab and click "close window" next time instead of getting all worked up about it.)

For me, I'm used to games with no menu during the prologue. Obviously this game will have a menu shortly later. Plus this is a demo, maybe there will be a menu during the prologue when it releases? If not I will be fine with that, because personally for me, it doesn't need one during the prologue in rpg/jrpg games at least.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

IceEarthGuard

@Rykdrew Not sure what you are trying to get here. I'm talking about a game that did release 10-15 years ago and being rereleased. Why are you bringing up if it's a game that didn't release? I'm not talking about unreleased games either. Unreleased means pretty much no one ever played the game at all except for the devs/play testers.

Whole point of my comment is that I do not factor in price with the rating/score that I give to games.

Re: Astral Chain Director Seemingly Forms New Studio After Leaving PlatinumGames

IceEarthGuard

@RiasGremory I meant by the overwhelmingly positive feedback/reviews for the game. For example the game got a 87 metascore and the user score on that site is 9/10. Similar on this site as well.

If the rumors are true that the development for the second game is very messy, and with what is happening to Platinum games, that just makes me think the next game might be all over the place in what direction the game is going for. Which may result in the game being not as good as the first game.

But I am going to wait and see what happens next.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

IceEarthGuard

@Mando44646 I'm talking about the rating for just the game itself. I understand time length and cost together being a factor for someone's score/rating, but just only cost alone, makes no sense to me.

When someone rates a game 9/10, and then lets say 10-15 years later they release it again with a few extra stuff or just make it look better graphically without tweaking any of the original gameplay, for an increased price. Your rating for the game should technically be still 9/10 (if everything work as it did back them with no problems.)

If I do change my rating for a game, it won't be because of the price.
