Re: Nintendo Accounts To "Help Ease" Next-Gen Transition, According To Doug Bowser

@jco83 Yeah I know online is free for the free to play games. Which is a good thing. (Unlike Xbox where you need to still pay for playing free to play online games on there.)

And yeah I know the price is a fair one, but I simply prefer playing those old games that are in the subscription on the old systems themselves. (On a Gameboy SP though, not the OG Gameboy.)

So since I will just mostly play Tetris 99 and play games that have Online mode. $25 CAD a year is just not worth it for me. (And Imo the family yearly "deal" is not a deal because it is only me and my brother that plays the Switch. Not worth spending another $20, best to save it for something else.)

It would make sense to carry the existing Nintendo account to the next system. (With added features hopefully.)

Also, I just hope they allow Online to be free again for the next console. All they have to do is add something significant as a replacement to the service for people to continue with their subscription. Or maybe just make the online subscription be for Nintendo games only and let the small games that has the online game mode(s) have a chance for some people actually play together online. But then again, I am just assuming because of the online subscription, that nobody is playing those less popular games online because they simply don't have the subscription. (Back then I wanted to play Soldam online against someone but there was no one. So that is why I blame the online subscription for "killing" online modes in lesser known games.)

Re: Random: One "New" Wii U Was Apparently Sold In The US Last Month

Somewhat relevant story: My family went on a road trip some months ago, and I said I wanted to check out a GameStop that I never went to before. Spotted a 3DS game that they were trying to sell as "new." The cashier said it was just sitting there for several years without anyone buying it if I recall. I was thinking about buying it, but obviously the condition of the 3DS case was in bad condition and was not "new" because they had the cartridge in their counter, so I pass on it. You would think they would put a clearance sale on it, but they seem to not bother about doing that.

@RobynAlecksys Physical games can sometimes be cheaper than digital. Plus if you are not a collector of games or it is not for you, you can eventually sell the physical copy. (You might even get more money than what you paid for it.)

Also it is not exactly true that more people buy digital games. (If we don't count PC games in the equation that is.)

Re: Random: Xbox Marketing Wanted To "Avoid Calling Switch A Console"

IceEarthGuard

@larryisaman You are serious going the "You're wrong and I am right" route?

Well I can do that too. You are wrong and I am right...

Gonna say it again, your arguments are so poor and makes no sense... and you need to really rethink on your opinion.

The Switch can primarily do both, the consoles that are meant to be handhelds (psp, ps vita, 3ds, Gameboy) only are just only primarily handhelds... So of course no one will call these handhelds as "home consoles" even if you set it up to be played on a TV...

I don't know how you can't understand this. Your argument only works on the Nintendo Switch Lite... Not the OLED or original Switch...

Re: Random: Xbox Marketing Wanted To "Avoid Calling Switch A Console"

IceEarthGuard

@larryisaman Your arguments are poor and makes no sense in this discussion. Depending on the user the Switch can be a primary home console or a primary a handheld, or both. (Also it is the GameCube itself that makes the Gameboy games be able to play on a TV smh...)

I believe you need to rethink on what you are saying. Because it makes no sense at all.

Re: Sega & Atlus Airing Special Broadcast At The Tokyo Game Show Next Month

I know it is really unlikely to happen. But Devil Survivor 3 would be amazing! (I got to go finish the second game someday. I finished the first game twice! And almost done with the third playthrough.)

Persona 1 and 2 port, remaster or remake would be great too. (Since I don't really want to pay a fortune to get those games on PS1 or PSP.)

And any brand new game are welcomed.

@FullMetalWesker Last comment so I can get it off my chest, I agree with you depending on the country/where people live. But in Canada, you won't find anyone who would call a fast food place a "luxury" and many won't consider video games as a luxury (maybe the consoles themselves would count, but not the games.) If you call every Want in the world a luxury, then why is it not called "Needs and Luxuries?" So basically not every Want is a Luxury item or service. And if you are not saying every Want is a Luxury, then never mind I guess... (My mind is all over the place with this topic...)

(And just to stay on topic with this article... I see this Switch emulator protection stuff not doing well in the long run.)

Re: Denuvo's 'Switch Emulator Protection' Is Now Available Via Nintendo's Official Dev Portal

@FullMetalWesker I'm not stubborn. And I am very open minded, but Food regardless if it is from a damn fast food restaurant is and will always be in the Need section for crying out loud. (Edit: It only becomes a luxury if you are at a really expensive restaurant, where it's around $500 per person/meal for example. Just because you get food quickly at a fast food place, does not mean it's a luxury.)

If you look at more dictionaries they will have different answers to what luxury is.

When I went to college, they had Needs, Wants, Luxury, all separate. Their are Wants that have nothing to do with being a "luxury."

I did not want to argue about this topic. All I wanted to say was Video games are not necessarily a Luxury.

Edit: Basically what you are saying with your comment it is "Needs and Luxuries" only, not Needs and Wants. There is a reason why it is called Needs and Wants and not "Needs and Luxuries", and Luxury is used for the much more expensive wants. Because with your logic, I guess a piece of paper, a pen, a eraser, a plastic bag, a random piece of wood is a "Luxury."

Re: Denuvo's 'Switch Emulator Protection' Is Now Available Via Nintendo's Official Dev Portal

IceEarthGuard

@FullMetalWesker I know that most fast food restaurants are not healthy. But regardless of that, it is still food and that is a necessity/need in life.

And nope, Luxury is meant for very expensive things. Just because something is not a need, does not make it a "Luxury." Just plain want.

Wants does not always = Luxury.

Sorry, but nobody can change my mind on this topic.
