Re: Random: Ash Ketchum's OG Voice Actor Reflects On "Devastating" Moment She Was Fired

IceEarthGuard

As always, I am pretty much late to see what all these deleted comments from people on what they have to say on this site...

Anyways... So basically if they didn't decide to recast Ash back then, that means Veronica would most likely continue as Ash until the end? Interesting.

Also I didn't did a meet and greet with her, but I did see her at a comic con in 2023. Which was cool.

Re: 'Switch 2' Launching This Year With 8-Inch LCD Screen, According To New Analyst Rumour

IceEarthGuard

For me, i'm fine with either LCD or OLED screen.

Also I don't know if OLED screens got better or not, but I am slightly "worried" about OLEDs because I had 2 original OLED PS Vitas, both got screen burns, one of them pretty much had the whole screen burned all of a sudden, so I sold it because I did not want to try to repair it. (And off topic, but the one that wasn't bad I accidently dropped because I fell asleep, and the inner screen broke I think or something, so had to sell that one as well... decided to buy a Japanese Vita slim with the LCD screen, so far no screen burns, and it is in great shape. Got a good deal on it.)

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About Palworld - Comparisons, Controversy, 'Copying'

IceEarthGuard

@HeadPirate I wouldn't consider all those Anime you listed with "Magic School." I don't think there is a School setting with Ancient Magus Bride, Fairy Tail (It's a guild, not a school,) and The Rising of the Shield Hero. Also Imo I don't think they any of these are comparable to Harry Potter, besides just "Magic and Fantasy."

Have not watch the other Anime you listed though.

But when it comes to video games, game mechanics are probably gonna get more familiar with and be compared more to other game's game mechanics more often than movies, shows, and Anime. Well that is just how I view it.

Re: Best Super Smash Bros. Games Of All Time

IceEarthGuard

Here is my list for best Super Smash Bros:

1. Wii
2. N64
3. GameCube
4. Switch
5. WiiU/3DS (Tied for last.)

I pretty much like all the Smash Bros games, but the CPUs were disappointingly too easy in the WiiU/3DS versions. Level 9 CPUs felt like they were level 5 or 6 or something.

Unfortunately my interest in Super Smash Bros is just not the same anymore during the times I played the N64, GameCube and Wii ones.

Re: 8% Of Developers Are Apparently Working On Games For Switch's Successor

IceEarthGuard

@Giancarlothomaz It's not 8% who "want" to develop for the next console, it is 8% who are currently making a game for the next console, based on what I read. Expect many more developers making games for the next Nintendo console when it launches or just before it launch. It's too early to just think only 8% will make games for the next Nintendo console smh.

Re: Nintendo Donating 50 Million Yen To Aid Japan's Earthquake Victims

IceEarthGuard

@PinderSchloss Gonna disagree with you. Nothing is wrong with a person or companies announcing how much they donate. I don't see it mainly as a "PR" move. I rather see how much they donated. Not a bland statement saying "we donated" and that's it. Most content creators/companies shows how much they donate anyways I believe.

(Plus Revenue does not = Profit. So technically they gave away a bit more percent of the money they actually have.)

The only thing people should worry about donations in my opinion, is that will that money actually be used for those affected by the disaster properly or will it end up being used improperly. (Disclosing the amount of donations can be important because of this reason.)

Re: Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Now Reportedly Has An "Actual Cartridge" Release

IceEarthGuard

@Shade_Koopa @Ogre84 Disagree with both of you. Physical media isn't dead, if it was they would have stopped physical media production already smh. Millions and millions of people still prefer physical when it comes to gaming consoles. (PC is mostly digital of course, but I am not talking about PC.) Physical media still make businesses a good amount of money still today, if it didn't we wouldn't see anymore physical video games, dvds, blu-rays, cds, etc. Besides that, there is still a market for physical media.

Also saying "collectors only care about the box art" is just too wrong to say if you are implying every single collector out there...

Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Rated For Switch By ESRB

IceEarthGuard

@Eggolor I say you should give Origami King a chance. It's actually pretty good. (Coming from someone who says TTYD is the best Paper Mario game.)

Anybody who never played a certain game should never advise someone to not get a game if they have never played it, because they don't have the full details on why not to get the game because they never experience it for themselves.

Plus in my experience, there were games I was for sure I wasn't going to like, but when I actually played the game I end up really liking the game. (Persona 4 was one of those games.)

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Tetris Attack (GB)

IceEarthGuard

@Ironcore Having a both option would not be a good idea for these kind of polls. It's meant to be a poll on which one do people like better and on which one would win the "brawl" based on the number of votes. No ties. (Some box art brawls actually did almost tie though.)

Re: 103 Switch Games You Should Pick Up In Nintendo's 'Hits For The Holidays' Sale (US)

IceEarthGuard

I could get Shin Megami Tensei V for $20 CAD physically, much cheaper than getting it from this digital sale, thanks to a certain Canadian online retailer store. (But I already have it and I paid more for my copy, I should have waited, but then again I was not expecting a Shin Megami Tensei game to go below $30-$40 CAD from a online retail store.)

Also I can pretty much get 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Persona 5 Royal physically for a bit cheaper price at this time.

Anyways, there are some good prices here.

Re: Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch

IceEarthGuard

@Chibi_Manny That does not mean anything. Because Nintendo released some Nintendo developed/published 3DS games in 2017-2018 when the Switch was already out. (Not saying the next Nintendo system is coming out next summer though, but expect some more Nintendo published games to come out on the Switch when the new system comes out.)
