I'm going to say it, I actually want Nintendo to lose. And I have a really good reason. I just don't want an enraged Nintendo hater (who likes Palworld) ruining future/potential Nintendo in person events because of this lawsuit. It already happen before with threats on previous in person Nintendo events.
An article that makes me wish I didn't traded my holographic original Charizard as a kid... Just because I didn't want any "duplicates." I still got the reverse holo Charizard card. (3/110) And back then I like that one more than the regular holo version.
Well that sucks, but since it's not official accessories, I don't have the FOMO for this stuff.
This is a "anti-consumer" strategy to push more sales than they would have if they didn't limit it. (Or that is what I am assuming is what they are going for.)
@BANJO Well I am counting in my head. It's still the 7th year. Switch came out in March 2017, and if you do the math, it isn't 8 years yet, it's 7 years and 8 months years old.
I don't normally like automatic battle games, but Memento Mori is just really great regardless with those beautiful animations, that they made the automatic battles look amazing.
I think people are going too far with their conclusions/thoughts going out of control with those Pokemon leaked stories based on some comments I read on Twitter(X.) (For example, they are acting as if like "every Typhlosion" and 'people who likes Typhlosion" is "bad" now. Well they didn't exactly say it like that, but it's heavily implied by the looks of it. Some of them are probably joking of course, but some of those comments seems really like they actually think that.)
"with the company cancelling the Western release of its MMORPG Blue Protocol just last month."
Let me guess, this is probably the cause or one of them at least? If only Amazon didn't had their hands on the publishing rights, and Bandai just published it to the west, I wonder if this wouldn't have happen.
@Flashlink99 Not sure what you mean in the US only, when they ship the games in most places around the world.
Unless you are talking about they should get different rating versions like Pegi and have buildings set up in other places in the world, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.
I think you could have used a better quality picture for the Japanese cover art version, the lighting is off and it's a bit blurry. (Now I wish I could changed my vote to the Japanese version.)
Can we just have both? Games nowadays should have more options, not getting rid of options. Games also should be able to have two or more age ratings nowadays so devs don't need to feel the need to alter their creations due to age ratings. So make a version for ESRB T and a version for ESRB M for example, and the game will have T-M for it. Just look what happen with Fortnite with the many game modes having their own rating for example.
Not sure about the Netherlands. But for Belgium, I believe they are cracking down on Gacha games or something? They banned Lootboxes, and that is pretty much on what I know.
So with that in mind, it's probably not profitable in Belgium.
@HeadPirate Usually when the music license ends, they only take the game down from the store for purchase. Game should still be playable both digital and physical though. For example, the first Fitness Boxing game.
Also to those who say you don't own physical copies of a game as well. My argument would be that you do own a copy of the game, so you can play it anytime you want. (Minus the ones that requires a server to play, and the ones that stop working properly for whatever reason.)
Sure you don't own the game itself, but you own the physical product for it to play the game. So basically you do own something. You own something that plays the game. It's not like you don't own the cartridge/disc.
(I'm still going to say I own the game if I have physical copy of it though, because it just sounds right/natural to me.)
While this may seem be a good thing. I fear that this law might result in Video game publishers/developers/store fronts taking advantage of it.
For example: "You may license this game for only 1 year. After that you have to pay again for a license if you want to play it again for another year."
@GoshJosh He said "most of them are probably glad it's not coming over."
That wasn't referring to the comments, that was just an assumption he came up with that many would not care for it/buy it.
My comment wasn't about the player base either, it was only about the comments on the recent tweet from Palworld about the delay.. and that it has mixed responses on there.
@Itachi2099 I am not talking about those tweets (comments.) I am talking about the recent tweets and the Tweet that Nintendo Life is providing on this article from Palworld. Which is what I was assuming you were talking about.
@Itachi2099 Well I read a handful of comments, and it seemed to be mixed comments on the situation, from people who really wants the game, confused on their decision, joking about them getting more money for the lawsuit, disappointed on how they are handling the situation like saying they should release it after the dispute for example, criticizing the design/originality, etc. So I think your comment is a bit bias on hating on the game and acting like most people in Japan hates the game when that isn't really true? Hate is a strong word, and I wouldn't use that word for this situation imo.
@johnedwin Wukong in China is probably mostly PC game sales I assume. I am assuming Japan is still 2nd when it comes to console gaming? Like the other guy said?
Japan is also 1st for handheld gaming I believe, now that I think about it? (Not including phones.)
@LastFootnote You could actually get rechargeable batteries for the Wii Remote. (That may or may not make the Wii Remote slightly heavier. Can't remember.)

Re: Goodboy Galaxy Developer Dramatically Cuts Ties With Physical Distributor
Yeah a game I was thinking about to get from 1st press games is still "coming soon" and it's been like 2 years or so. Never buying from them.

Re: Random: Stolen Pokémon Card Worth £30,000 Is Returned To Its Trainer
@dequesi It's probably graded high. And for some reason graded cards "makes the card more expensive."

Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Brothership (Switch) - Easily The Best Mario & Luigi RPG Yet

Re: Come On, Where Are The Composer Credits in 'Nintendo Music'?
@eaglebob345 Well it's not free if you have to pay for the subscription.
Re: Review: Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (Mobile) - A Breezy, Beautiful Take On TCG, Gacha Aside
I prefer they make a Pokemon TCG game on the Switch/next console please. With a story mode.
Edit: After trying out the game. I actually really enjoyed it. Hope they update it to include more single player content, and new packs somewhat soon!
So far I give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 19.0.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Re: 'Fitness Boxing 3' Overview Trailer Introduces New Workouts And Hunky Instructors
Please don't tell me, they are going to make the other instructors as DLC.
But at the same time, I wonder why they removed them, if they are not coming back.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Party Jamboree Rolls A Winner In Its Debut Week
@BANJO I don't view it like that. It's more like it is "marching towards the 8th year" not in it already. Technically it's still in the 7th year.
Just makes no sense, if it is hasn't been 8 years yet, then it is not in its 8th year if you really think about it.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Party Jamboree Rolls A Winner In Its Debut Week

@BANJO Actually it's still in the 7th year still. March 2025 will be when the 8th year starts.

Re: Bandai Namco Reportedly Cancels Nintendo-Commissioned Project
@Samalik Oh I didn't realize it was EoS-ing in Japan. Or I forgot somehow. Well that's unfortunate.
I wonder if that game took a big toll to their funding for other games, and that why they are canceling other games?

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Professor Layton And The Miracle Mask
The European one didn't have to put the characters on again at the top of the cover art. Regardless of that, I still chose Europe as the winner.

Re: Californian Law Dictates Storefronts Be Honest About Digital Game Ownership
@HeadPirate Now I am kinda curious to what those 2-3 games are that you mentioned. Do you recall the game titles for them?
Also I agree, that having a physical copy of the game does not mean you are safe from the license owner.

I would really like that to happen!
Re: Analyst Is Certain Nintendo Will Win Its Lawsuit Against Palworld Developer
And I am certain to have a definitive opinion about this when this case is closed and finalized.
Right now I have no opinion, and just a bit shocked they are going after this game after many months have pass.
Re: Sony's PlayStation Vita Exclusive Freedom Wars Is Getting Remastered For Switch
