I listen to a lot of gaming podcasts and I’m always surprised how cheating is just part of the experience for most people. Personally I think it more often that not ruins the experience unless it’s cosmetic changes.

There’s definitely space now for someone to challenge Pokémon but I think the 2D DS era is what I’d aim for personally.

Everything I’ve read or heard about the Switch controller is that the d-pad is absolutely terrible. Did I imagine this?

I think Donkey Kong, Star Fox and Kid Icarus would be obvious choices. Also, Kirby is very popular with my nephew and his friends at the moment.

Positive takes can be few and far between round these parts. Funnily enough I think the negativity really ratcheted up prior to the Switch’s release when a lot of trolls rolled in and the comments sections have never quite recovered.

No, it’s not safe. Nobody knows yet how the save files are being wiped and there’s been no patches to fix anything yet.

One of my all time favourites! The 3D is great if you have a New 3DS but the screen is a little squished. Switch has the best version, and on the telly (!) but why not have both.

Although I preferred Awakening I put more hours into Fates just due to the sheer size of it. Worth pointing out there’s some DLC which really enhances the experience and is worth picking up.

I never did buy Shadows of Valentia, which I regret but you can’t play everything I guess.

GameBoy games and Crystal were available for the 3DS so I see no reason why not. I think it’ll not be compatible with Home, making cloning a non issue.

I’m currently jumping through all the hoops to try and get this downloaded on the WiiU eShop before it’s gone for good. 😮‍💨

I’ve moved half way around the world since I bought my 3DS and WiiU so it’s a wild ride trying to get accounts, credit cards and mobile verifications all in order. So far I’ve managed to put $10 on my account so it’s still a work in progress. Trying to get Metroid Prime Trilogy and NES Remix if possible.

Seems it’s all or nothing with Sc/V. If I get through a game without a crash I’m counting myself lucky.
