"Made it so that you can create a Room even if you have 0 friends registered."
Right in the feels. But all in all, great dlc, great value, made a fantastic game into a legendary one. No regrets in buying it a second time for the Switch. Would even go for a third one if there is a complete physical one.
I was like 'yes, some news on Timesplitters!', but this is definitely not what I hoped for. Shame. Not the biggest FPS fan, but this series I liked on the GCN.
Honestly surprised by the excitement here for this. I have very little faith that this will do justice to the way I have experienced the series, but funny to see so many people have different opinions.
Regardless, if they do this well enough for people to enjoy it, and Nintendo can grow its IP and audiences and diversify its revenue, then why not. I don't have to watch it and probably never will. I'm fine with the games.
When it was first released I though it was a joke. A doorstop with screens and buttons. But I've grown to love its weirdness. Have a black and blue that I occasionally use, and a brand new Pokémon version and they're cherished parts of my collection.
Now as a parent, this would definitely have been the handheld I would've bought. Cheap, durable, huge library of games, no concern about 3D effects. What's not to love?
I'd be tempted by a nice Metroid one, maybe Fire Emblem, but not by... This. I have a white OLED, the Splatoon and the Zelda one. I think that's (more than) enough.
Daisy Cruiser because Double Dash!! has a special place in my heart. But I love the new tracks so far too. I've even grown fond of the Tour tracks New York and Berlin. So just bring it all, I can't get enough of this game no matter how old it is getting. Way to go to keep it fresh Nintendo.
Just Tears of the Kingdom probably. I have other games I want to play, but I usually start what little time I have with TOTK and then before I know it, it took all the time I had. Again and again... Also I'm exploring everything on foot, so this will take a loooooooong time still. At least I don't need to think about what I'm voting for here!
Will the demo stay or is it limited time? I have never played Pikmin and maybe the demo is a good way to try. Just have little time left besides TotK (yes, I'm still playing THAT).
I've received mine, but haven't opened it yet. Enjoy the slow exploring, figuring things out later or even in a second playthrough years from now. Eventually I'll use it for some specific things that bug me. But I mainly have it because I want everything...
Can't tear myself from Tears yet. Even though I've been wanting to play more Advance Wars, I get so lost in Hyrule that the little time I have flies by.
@TheBoilerman It took them a month, but they're finally shipping mine soon. So even when they're available in NA you might have to wait a bit longer to actually get them.
But I know the feeling of checking the store daily. Did that for the N64 controllers and I finally have a full set now. Just need to think of a new obsession now.
I liked the remake, but it never captured me like the DX even though I played the DX version only a few years before like 2015. Maybe it's the pixel nostalgia, but also the wonder about how they made such amazing game within the constrains of the hardware. DX forever.
I don't have much time to play (I'm a bit like the guy in the ad for TotK lol), so if I wanted to finish the game I probably would've used it. But I savour every minute of playing this game, so the grind doesn't feel like a grind ever. If anything I find it a relaxed way of playing the game. I trust the update will improve the gameplay in general, so yeah update away!
Advance Wars. I'm postponing TotK because I know I won't be able to play anything else for a long, long, long time. And you can only play it for the first time once and I want to look forward to that for a while longer, now that I can play it when I want.
I don't get this obsession from people with dungeons. They're cool and I like them too, but does it really make or break a game? Glad it's making ya'll so happy though.
I have the Zelda Oled (twice...), the TotK case preordered, the TotK controller preordered, the Amiibo. And decided last minute to go for the TotK CE too. So after much consideration I voted yes.
@Darthmoogle there are some good compilations on YouTube, that you should maybe try. Especially the relaxing ones are great for studying, reading, work. Hell, I use it for my daughter's bath time. I love other soundtracks, but I rarely listen to them outside the game. The BotW one all the time. I hope TotK has more of the same. But I also understand that it's not for everyone.
I remember this game being entertaining on the DS, but not very deep or otherwise memorable. Maybe I'll pick it up during a sale. I don't think the DE adds much that I would like to spend money on while I have the original still around.
Enjoying it so far, but not as blown away like I was by the originals: solid 8/10. Would've been more impressed if they stuck closer to the original style. First chance I got I turned off these 3D animations.
Love the series though, good to see it gets so much exposure here. Didn't know there were so many fellow fans of AW. I salute you!
I voted for the Gamecube controller. Loved it and buy decent second hands wherever I can find them. Can't get enough.
However, I don't understand what the problem is with the Wii U gamepad. I played 200 hours of BotW on it and really enjoyed it as a controller, better than the Switch undocked.
@Thief You have very high standards for buying a game, no? It's such a small franchise, what do you expect, a full size Medium Tank? I think people who preordered the game, just want the game. And they got it and they're happy. Maybe not everyone is so preoccupied with getting extras.
@coderkind I really disliked Days of Ruin. For me they really did everything wrong they got right with the previous editions. The style, the atmosphere, the units... Played it once, gave it a chance, but never have revisited it since.
I'm actually getting it delivered today, so if anyone wonders why to pre-order, it's because you can play a day earlier! Jokes aside, I mainly did it to show some love for this series. It has gotten so little of it.
It actually made no sense for me to preorder it, since I still have to finish Metroid Prime and I'm replaying Majora's Mask but now with the Switch N64 controller (somehow feels so much better). And after that I'll be swamped with TOTK for the next two years...
@Cashews I actually replayed the first part recently on a Micro, which I'd really recommend if anyone would play this on the original hardware. But yeah, that's because I have everything already. If you have to buy all that now, it'll cost you more than 60 for sure.
Regardless, after much doubt - especially about the visual style - I preordered the game recently. I really would love to see Dual Strike brought to the Switch or its successor.
Anyone know if there's any artwork for sale by the way? I've been looking for that for ages. Hopefully now with the new games.
The horns on the Bokoblins look a bit silly if you know them from 'before'. Looks like an afterthought. 'Oh, we need a way to distribute items for the fuse ability, let's stick horns on the Bokoblin.'
Of course they worked six years on the game and of course it was going to be more than DLC. But did they keep expectations extremely low by showing nothing new, just things we knew from BotW. I didn’t dare to hope too much. But now I’ve seen more than enough. I’m enticed, but I’ll figure the rest out myself thank you.
I can already feel the upcoming chills when I finally get passed the loading screen for this game... Since the last trailer I can't wait for this game. The gameplay trailer had me down, but this last one blew off the roof. I'm not sure why they did it in this order. Looking forward to start playing. Don't really care where the game starts!
Over the years I've found various things to do, and by now I've done 95% of what I wanted to do (that's probably 75% of the game). Some things are just too cumbersome or I get distracted, go after a silly Korok seed and forget about what I wanted to do. Slowly but surely I'll make progress. Maybe I'll do it before TotK ruins my appetite for its predecessor. But I've had fun regardless. Loads and loads of fun.
@AtlanteanMan I agree with what you say and reminds me of the Wii U. It was different, better, more advanced, new features, worth the effort. But they never managed to convey that.
Still, I love(d) my Wii U. I consider it legendary. Let's hope the same will go for TotK.
After spending tons of money on the Special Edition Switch, the controller, the case, the Special Edition game, and the Amiibo... I'm finally ready to get hyped. This game needs to deliver! Please deliver.
I actually ordered two, just to be sure I'll get one. Totally overdoing it, because they're still available, but I've been waiting for this one. I wanted one special edition Switch and it had to be an oled one. And even though I'm not completely sold on the game, I really like the design.
Let's see if I have the mental strength to send one of the two back, or use one for playing and one for display... How different from the good old days, where I had to beg my mom to buy me a Gameboy Advance.
Where can you buy/pre-order them in (continental) Europe? I'm usually too late getting these special editions, hoping to change that for once, but all that I've been able to do is register my interest at the My Nintendo store along with apparently thousand of others... -_-
From what I've seen I understand why this took so long to develop. It's just gameplay so I understand why it's just showing gimmicks, but this is not making me very interested in the game again. What exactly does this really add to BotW?
I'm looking for a special edition OLED so this would be great. Like the Splatoon one too, but don't care much about the franchise, so getting it seemed like overdoing it. Might get the Pokémon one if there's no Zelda version.
I was thinking, which crazy person has seven... But then I started counting, and I actually own seven! I actually bought a New 3DS XL half a year ago, after I sold my original one. I thought I didn't need it because I had a 2DS XL (two actually) and didn't care much for the 3D effect. But then somehow got nostalgic and found a good deal. So then I became one of these crazy people who have seven 3DS. Although I see there are people who are a lot 'worse'.
Curious. This will be important to manage my expectations. At this moment I'm not expecting much more than BotW DLC, so if they show they'll bring something new I might get hyped for this game after all.

Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Are In
Would this be a good version for someone new to the series? I never got around to playing earlier editions, but it seems interesting enough.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 11th)
Mainly some TotK, if I find spare time also try out the new MK8 tracks, though honestly the excitement has waned a bit since the first few DLC cups.
