Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Nintendo 64 Games

Diddy64

There were two versions of Bomberman 64? I thought there was only one. Now I don't know which is the one I played. I just remember playing the Story Mode and a multiplayer game where I had to beat the other Bombermans to win. I also recall seeing costumes which could be obtained in the story.

Zelda BotW. Got the Master Sword before facing any of the divine beast, but I only got it so I don't have to waste my shrine guardian weapons against Guardian Stalkers to obtain Ancient weapons (and armor) from Robie. I prefer exploring and continuing the story without farming excessively. Still love this game. Also obtained Revali's Gale.

I may later continue playing Fire Emblem Awakening since I have some Mad King that needs to be stopped from destroying Ylisse.

Re: How Well Do You Know Minecraft?

6 out of 15 with the first question being the only one I knew. The others were mainly guesses. For a strange reason, when I accidentally used back due to selecting something wrong and then use the home button on the site, I was able to start the questions again when I entered the question poll. Needless to say that I got a 15 out of 15 😂 Life (or a glitch) give me a second chance I couldn't resist 😆

Re: There Are Currently No Plans To Bring More Kingdom Hearts Games To Switch

Diddy64

I suspect this has to do with Disney being mad at Nintendo for choosing Universal as their partner for, you know, the Super Nintendo Theme Park instead of choosing the mouse company.

Not to mention that Disney wanted to have Mario in the Whreck-It-Ralph movie but he didn't make an appearance because certain reasons (some say is because they weren't allowed to make Mario talk and that make it difficult, but we don't know what is the true).

Re: Paper Mario Producer Says He's "Not Opposed To The Fans' Opinions"

Diddy64

Thankfully I now have 2 RPGs that have fill me with joy. The Bravely series that has a new game coming this year, and the Ys series, which its 9th game is coming in 2021 to Nintendo Switch (don't know if it's on other versions. Still will buy it for Switch).

That being said I wish Nintendo put other people in charge of Mario Story (PM's japanese name) instead Tanabe because according to this interview, he is only listening to Miyamoto's vision without thinking in the consumer. Or at the very least divide the franchise and let either Monolith or even a Square Enix team to be directing the Story series game, while Tanabe can continue the Paper version.

I didn't mention the FE team (I mean the ones who were in the first two/three games) because they may not want to be involved in the franchise after how restricted it has become. Heck, even Fuji Baiashi (Zelda BotW director) will do a better job since he is not afraid of Miyamoto, like he has done in past games (check some YouTube videos about Fuji Baiashi if you don't know what I mean).

More Octopath Traveler Finally have 7 of the 8 jobs. I will get the dancer job once I have 4 characters in level 34-35 (that area has a higher level than the other 7 shrines).

Already cleared one chapter 2 (Tressa), now I'm in the beginning of Primrose's chapter 2. I think I'll tackle the stories from lowest level to highest so that I don't have one or two characters underleveled.

Re: Poll: No, Really, What Was Nintendo's Worst Year?

Diddy64

As I didn't have a Wii U, I feel that this year has been poor so far. I have no interest in Animal Crossing, I don't like Paper Mario because I only like true RPGs and we don't know if the 3D Mario Collection is real.

The only new game I am looking forward is Bravely Default 2. Edit: I also want to buy Tokyo Mirage Seasons FE Encore but that's only two new games (I didn't have Wii U) for 2020 for me.

Re: Paper Mario Producer Says It's No Longer Possible To Modify Mario Characters

Diddy64

@SmileMan64 If what Shuntaro said about "...I expect to said that needs to to be said to run the company." is true, then there's still some hope that he demands that the series return to being rpg.

They perhaps are looking for an idea that he can use for multiple games, while being something that sells decently. Though the question is, what game or idea will Miyamoto likes enough that catches his attention?

Re: Paper Mario Producer Says It's No Longer Possible To Modify Mario Characters

Diddy64

@PipeGuy64Bit In Japan there's a cultural believing that the elder age have a higher status than someone like Tanabe that looks like 40-50 years. So I wouldn't discard the possibility of they agreeing with Miyamoto due to his status of age.

Regarding Luigi's Mansion 3, I think they returned because either Miyamoto approve it (its unusual but sometimes he does approve, like with Mario + Rabbits) or because what Shuntaro Furukawa said about Miyamoto. From what I remember he said "Now here's a producer I have a lot of respect name Shigeru Miyamoto. Unfortunately that just can't be it, so I expect to said what needs to be said to run the company". That quote can be see in a YouTube video of Arlo.

Have been switching between playing Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Hyrule Warriors. On Zelda P.H. I am about to get the item that let me enter the third dungeon. On Hyrule Warriors I am leveling up a few characters, while getting the level 2 weapons of the Wind Waker Map.

If I didn't started playing Phantom Hourglass, I will most likely have burned out of playing too much Hyrule Warriors 😅

Re: Pokémon-Like Nexomon: Extinction Reveals All Nine Starter Monsters

Diddy64

Even though they are using a similar artstyle to Pokemon, I like most of the starters (with Trebly and Mara being my favorites). I think it is good that people are trying to make a creature-collecting game. I hope they continue making until they make a game that standout. Some people improve over time, so who's to say these guys can't get better.

And if not them, then I hope others follow up on trying to create a good/excellent monster-collect game.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 6th)

A day late, but I have continue playing Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition. This morning I beat the story of Legend Mode, though I still need a few Pieces of Hearts and Heart Containers. Then this afternoon I played Zelda Phantom Hourglass on N3DS. Got to say, I would like to see this game received a remake that makes it play like Wind Waker, plus add more islands and sidequests.

There's so much potential in this sequel that was limited by the hardware of the DS. I certainly welcome a 3D Toon Zelda series always focuses on sailing the seas (and obtaining boat pieces like in Phantom Hourglass). Of course, adding new items in each game.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 30th)

Diddy64

I'll continue playing Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition. Have reached the final story of Legend Mode where we have to find Cia. In Adventure Mode, I have finally unlocked all the characters of the Adventure map, plus two characters of the Wind Waker map (Tetra and King Daphnes). I'll continue leveling up some characters while I continue clearing the Adventure map.

I have been mainly playing Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition ever since I bought it on the e-shop. The music of this game is quite good. My favorites so far are The Valley of Seers and the remixed version of the Skyloft. I like how they implemented the items of TLoZ into the Warriors fighting style. Really hope Nintendo let Koei Tecmo made a sequel.
