Re: Reminder: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Expansion Pass - Wave 1 Is Now Available

Diddy64

@Yosher Thankfully I buy it so I am clear. I'll try download the DLC unlock update to see how it goes, as Nintendo recently announced that it is available now.

Edit: the infamous Error Code: 2123-1502 appeared to remind me of the effects of the 12.03 update 😅

Edit 2: My second attempt was successful but, there's nothing. Do I have to go to the Ancient Lab quest from the game's story? I have all characters in case that's one of the requirements.

Re: Feature: Our Predictions For Nintendo's E3 2021 Direct

Diddy64

Since Metroid Samus Returns was released in 2017 and by now the team likely have learned to make HD games, I think there's better possibility of a HD 2D Metroid being announced and perhaps happening this year. Though it likely depends on if they give us at least a small trailer of Metroid Prime 4 (for 2022 or later) to build interest. If they just announce or put a trailer of just one, it may get forgotten due to the Zelda anniversary games and (possible) new info of BotW 2.

As the Mario's anniversary was last year, I don't really expect a Odyssey 2 game announced this year and as much as I would like Mario Kart 9, I also don't see it being announced at E3. Perhaps in a late Direct at Q4 2021. I do can see a Super Mario Party 2 announced or even new Nintendo Spinoff game featuring the Rabbids like a Donkey Kong + Rabbids game that have a little Mario appearance like in a DLC. It would be good sales strategy since many people loves Mario. I don't expect much to be announced apart from spinoffs/DLC little adventure for Mario.

Zelda will surely shine with a few ports/remakes and with a likely new trailer of BotW 2. In fact with just a BotW 2 trailer it will enough without any other Zelda announcement. Everyone (including me) wants to know more about the mysterious green hand and Ganondorf! Truly the first trailer was intentionally made to made people have many questions! I kinda hope Link learn some spells/magic like in Zelda II, which could happen since BotW took some inspiration from the first Zelda game.

While this one is unknown, there is possibility to DK having a game because he has anniversary in name in the arcade Donkey Kong. Like with another franchise, it is more likely after the last game being 7 years ago. Sure, no one has seen nothing materialize, but so happened with Metroid Samus Returns and other games people never expected to be announced. It could be 2D or 3D, or both being announced as it's literally impossible to predict Nintendo. They revealed BotW 2 in 2019 which no one expected, so we MAY have something like this with DK or Metroid. Of course, I'm looking forward to the third party announcements too. Sorry for making it this long. I had a lot in my mind 😅

Re: Poll: What's The Best Mega Man Game?

Diddy64

I may be in the minority here, but I find Megaman X2 easier than the first one and as such, I find it the best X game of them all imo. X7 is still the worst. In in the classic series, Megaman 6 is my favorite in terms of gameplay while 2 has the best music of the classic games (at least in my opinion). Better put my list since I have played many Megaman games.

Here's my top 11:

1. Megaman X2
2. Megaman Battle Network 3
3. Megaman X
4. Megaman 6
5. Megaman 2
6. Megaman Zero 2
7. Megaman X5
8. Megaman X6
9. Megaman X3
10. Megaman Battle Network 4
11. Megaman X4

I had a many dies in this game (X4). Even more than X5 and the music is the weakest due to how different it is compared to the others. Very unpopular but I didn't start with right leg (or best luck) and as they say, the first impression is sometimes the one that's the most important.

Re: Feature: Zelda: The Wind Waker Proved We Don't Always Know What We Want

Diddy64

@Zidentia While I don't have a problem with the occasional experimenting like they done with Star Fox Adventure, the inconsistencies continue even after the low sales of Assault and then Command on DS. They even suddenly changed the relationship of Fox and Krystal because someone wasn't fond of deep stories. I wonder why he hates stories so much. Did he had horrible history teachers? I don't understand what he see so wrong with stories.

Re: Feature: Zelda: The Wind Waker Proved We Don't Always Know What We Want

Diddy64

@COVIDberry Yes, but Zelda continue having puzzles and battles using items and the sword. Star Fox suffer from a unclear vision for the players and Star Fox Adventure, Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command only reinforced that. When they decided to go back to its roots, they did by making a second remake of the first Star Fox (SNES) (64 was a remake of the first one), which happened at a time when people were wanting a sequel to the series.

Re: Feature: Zelda: The Wind Waker Proved We Don't Always Know What We Want

Diddy64

@COVIDberry post#19 reply: Unfortunately, not always this helps a franchise. Look at the Star Fox franchise. It's important for the creators to not alienate too much a franchise. Sure, they can experiment, but they should be careful not to lose its audience, like with Star Fox.

I do agree about trying new things though. I liked the world of the Great Sea in Wind Waker.

Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Game Boy Advance Games

Diddy64

To help with the missing games, Dragonball Z: Buu's Fury is the last of the Legacy of Goku games despite having a different title. There is also a Martian games based on the movie that released in that time and surprisingly, is actually a pretty good game. Oh and Dragonball Z: Super Sonic Warriors is also pretty good and seems to be missing too.

Re: Feature: The Brilliance Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages & Seasons Forced Nintendo To Up Its Game

Diddy64

I liked playing this on the 3DS. That said, I hope they lower the difficulty of Oracle of Ages. Though I haven't played the other version, I learned that Ages is more difficult. Even a Quality of Life to some boss battles would be welcomed. The boss which requires the gauntlets was not enjoyable because sometimes I got hurt by touching the ball chain without any reason (for those that don't know, that's his only weakness). Aside from that, the game is a masterpiece 2D Zelda.

Re: Celebrate Pokémon's 25th Anniversary With 25 Toys And Plushes From Jazwares

Diddy64

With the more than likely anniversary games of Zelda and Pokemon (and hopefully a 2D Metroid) coming somewhere in the future months, I don't think I can buy any of these. Already I plan to buy Bravely Default 2 this month, by skipping 3D World + Dark Bowser (it's on purpose the name change XD). Hopefully Nintendo (and Pokemon) spread their anniversary games one for each month so that I can buy other third/second party games I'm missing 😅

Re: Nintendo's Paper Mario Series Is Now 20 Years Old

Diddy64

My favorite memories of Paper Mario (64) are obtaining my first badge, Chapter 1's Koopa Bros Fortress, obtaining the action command pendant after talking talking with the star spirits, Chapter 2's Dry Dry Desert and Ruins, the Chapter of the Southern Island (don't remember if it was the 5th or 6th chapter) and Chapter 7. Of course, I enjoyed the story and personality of the partners

Re: Two Veteran Sonic The Hedgehog Writers Appear To Have Moved On

Diddy64

Seeing as in the recent, months Sega of America youtube channel has had one (if there's more correct me) remixed version of Adventure's Station Square, there is a REALLY slightly posibility that they finally listen, if only a few things. It's better to hope for the best, regardless of the current state of 3D Sonic.

One thing is for certain. Moving at super speed should not be the first priority in 3D Sonic games and they should tone down the frequency of the jokes. I am not against jokes but there should be more balance so that we can have something that's in-between Sonic Heroes and Adventure storywise because, I don't see a harm in having story. Having more 3D platforming and some overworlds would be nice.

Re: Poll: What's The Best 2D Mario Game?

Diddy64

My 4 favorites are (in order):

1. Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Super Mario World
3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
4. New Super Mario Bros. (DS)

Haven't played the most recent New SMBU Deluxe, but I would like to see a Super Mario Bros that combines the best things of my 3 most favorites (3's level designs and hidden items in levels, World's different goals as having the same type of goal is boring, and Wii's video challenges for one to try and discover ways to do that in other levels). A person can dream ☺

Re: Bravely Default II Producer Was Both "Ashamed" And "Relieved" By Player Feedback To Demo

Diddy64

Glad to see this franchise continue. Now that I they put a turn gauge to see the characters turns and have exclamation marks when enemies are close to attack, I no longer have major issues with the game.

One job I would like to see, is the Sage job (not to be mistaken with the Conjurer job of Bravely Default 1). Since it would be too O.P. to have all the magics, I just want the job to have all black and white magics so that we can combine it with the Summoner job to replicate the DS Sage version of FF III.
