Re: Wait A Minute, Is That Marina From Splatoon 2 On The Xbox One Dashboard?

Diddy64

@BensonUii I also don't mind to see Splatoon 2 in Xbox One since it can help increase the popularity of this IP. Not to mention that it can do well since it is FPS game with a new take on this genre which could benefit by being on a console that has many shooting games. If this give us certain games that can have a second life in the Switch, I am all for it.

Re: EVO 2019 Drops Super Smash Bros. Melee

Diddy64

On one side, I feel bad for the ones who enjoy playing Melee and wanted to continue seeing it in EVO and on the other side, I do understand why it was replaced. Ultimate has more things that are also in Melee than any previous Smash had, so I can see the reasons behind not putting it in this year's EVO.

Re: Rumour: Pokémon Direct Video Tags Suggest Generation 8 Will Indeed Be Shown Tomorrow

Please, don't ever put a talking dex. It is the reason why I stopped playing Ultra Moon after obtaining Necrosma and beating the league. If they don't put it, I will like this new gen. Also, please bring more Mega Evolutions. That was the best thing of Pokémon X & Y and Ruby & Sapphire remakes which improved by having more Megas and legendaries with even cooler Mega Evolutions (Primal Reversions).

Re: Feature: Please Understand: Unpacking Nintendo's Vision For Metroid Prime 4

Diddy64

Hopefully we get more 2D Metroid games, at least 2 1/2 years to 3 years in between each 2D Metroid. And 3 to 3 1/2 years for Metroid Prime games. In fact, it's possible that a 2D Metroid is announced in this year, since Samus Returns got released in September 2017. It's best that they don't go 5 to 10 years without announcing a new Metroid game, whether it be 2D or Prime games. Personally, I like both 2D and Prime games.

Re: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey Is One Of The Worst-Selling Mario Games To Date

Diddy64

Exactly what other people have said. If the game have released in the Switch instead of the 3DS/2DS family consoles, it would have had decent sales. Not to mention that they should have remade Partners In Time first because that game is the sequel of Superstar Saga. Also I find it difficult to use four buttons to use many special attacks between Mario, Baby Mario, Luigi and Baby Luigi. They need to fix that if they made a remake (hopefully) in the Switch.

Re: Takahashi And Miyamoto Talk About Nintendo's Ability To Respond To A Variety Of Consumer Preferences

Diddy64

@Toadie I am not saying that they should exclusively. What I am saying is that some games like the 2D Marios need improvements that they don't seem to understand because they don't do surveys every year. Also what does making a new IP has to do with listening to what fans want to have in the current franchises? If they want to create new IPs that's completely apart and doesn't have anything to do with improving some franchises.

Re: Takahashi And Miyamoto Talk About Nintendo's Ability To Respond To A Variety Of Consumer Preferences

Diddy64

If they combine new ideas, with making surveys every year, we can have better games that will increase the sales of the next new games. We may finally get that Super Mario Bros game that a lot us have dreamed to have. They just need to open to new ideas and ask us what we think that needs improvements. They have listened to us when we criticize how linear was Skyward Sword and they responded with Breath of the Wild, so they can do it again for the Paper Mario games, Star Fox games, Kirby games etc.

Re: Takahashi And Miyamoto Talk About Nintendo's Ability To Respond To A Variety Of Consumer Preferences

I mean think about this: Something that is stale, sooner or later becomes boring. That is what is happening with the 2D Marios. And yet, at the same time it doesn't need to be completely different. That's why the 2D Pikmin failed and also the reason why each new New Super Mario Bros have decrease sells one after the other. Sure, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe may sell better, but that's because many people didn't buy the Wii U. My point is we need new people and ideas that can give a breath of fresh air to the New Super Mario games while at the same time doesn't derail too much to what made 2D Mario so good. Like the people said: Everything in moderation.

Re: Takahashi And Miyamoto Talk About Nintendo's Ability To Respond To A Variety Of Consumer Preferences

Diddy64

@Beermonkey @Mailman I think that if Nintendo hired new people to create 2 to 3 new EAD teams, they could made that happend without outsourcing teams that are likely making other games because, why else they haven't release more new 2D Mario games? Not to mention that they need to improve the 2D Marios just like they did with SMB3 and later they did that with SMW. I now they can do it again just like they did in those consoles. They just need new people with ideas that can spices up the New Super Mario Bros games.

Re: Devil May Cry Boss Addresses Dante Smash Ultimate Demand, Says Series Should Be On Switch First

Diddy64

I don't see why people get upset if a character doesn't have an appearance in a Nintendo console. I know some people don't like to have characters from other consoles in Smash but they all have in common that they all are videogame characters. Why people feel relief that a character has appeared in a spinoff when most of us want to have mainline games of those 3rd party games? I find that pointless because it's not the same to play a spinoff game than a mainline game. So in my opinion, having a character in a spinoff game doesn't count as valid reason.

Also I think that having a 3rd party character appear in Smash can increase demand for said game to appear in the Switch.
