Re: Nintendo’s E3 2019 Website Goes Live

Diddy64

@Yosher I checked Croc and now I want to play it 😊 Also, I would like to see how they make a 3D platformer Yoshi game and with Nintendo being more open than before, I can see it happening. They could also experiment with the idea by making Yoshi playable in, let's say, small islands in Mario Odyssey 2.

Re: Nintendo’s E3 2019 Website Goes Live

@Yosher Let's hope that they at least give a decent focus on one unannounced game. Suddenly I am desiring for a 3D platformer game. Perhaps is because it has been 6 months since I played Mario Odyssey and I haven't played a game of this genre ever since.

Looking forward to the new unannounced games, whenever they be just one or two. Nintendo knows that AC cannot give the levels of hype that Zelda BotW, Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate generate no matter how popular AC is. So I think there will be one or two games that will be the hype announcement of this E3.

Re: Xenoblade Studio Monolith Soft Is Hiring Staff For The Legend Of Zelda Series

If the next Zelda is going to use the same engine as Breath of the Wild, then I think it can come before 2022, perhaps even at the end of 2020 if the story is a sequel of BotW, as they can change some areas to make the world different and add new areas like for example:

1. 10 small islands which contains a temple/dungeon that can only be reached if we solve the puzzles of the islands.
2. A large swamp area hidden in a secret cave in the Akkala region. A temple will appear in the swamp after you put three indian-like artifacts.
3. An area exclusive for the new villain. This I think is required because just making a sequel where you have to rebuild Hyrule would not be enough to create an engaging story because 90% of the Zelda games have a villain.

Re: Takashi Iizuka Confirms The Next Sonic Title Is Already In Development

Diddy64

@BlueOcean Agreed. It seems too soon to for the game to be announced. I checked the names and find out that the first stage is called Frog Forest, while the second stage is called Lost Jungle. So you were right about the stage being a jungle. That stage also has bad frogs that caused an acid rain, which does damage to the plants that could be used as paths.

Re: Takashi Iizuka Confirms The Next Sonic Title Is Already In Development

@BlueOcean True, there were many missions in Adventure DX that didn't feel enjoyable or memorable. The ones that are good were just a few ones. Since I haven't played Sonic Generations, I know next to nothing, but I believe you when you said that Generations got all on point. I hope that I can try it in the future. Also I agree on the problems that many 3D Sonic games have with the camera. I got stuck for many weeks in the forest and jungle areas of Sonic Heroes. Eventually I cleared Heroes but I can't deny the camera issues.

Things that 3D Sonic needs to so that we can have finally have a good 3D platformer sequel:
1- Christian Whitehead's with his developing team because they know better than SEGA, what the fans want.
2- Intuitive 3D platforming features and mechanics just like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 with their item upgrades. Some of the hidden upgrades were optional and required exploration which can have good replay value if they added more reasons to explore in the game like collecting animals for the Chao Garden or collectibles that unlock special hidden areas, but this I'll explain it more on the num 3 point which goes hand to hang with this.
3- Multiple overworlds just like Sonic Adventure 1. This is a feature that could have been improved in Sonic Adventure 2. With a good overworld, they can put more features like doors that have hidden Acts/Stages that will only open, if you get the necessary item in the main game stages. You can also add different Chao Gardens to (example) at least 5 of the 8 areas of the overworld.
4- Bigger Stages. The main stages and hidden stages should be medium sized so that we can have more animals and chaos drives dropped from robots to collect for the Chao Garden. Also they should add special items in the main stages that unlock hidden stages and areas to increase replay value. Many games have these features and works surprisingly well, even in 2D games.
5. Relevant Story with good explanation. Forces is an example of a bad story with many things that were never explained, that needed explanation. Adventure 1, Adventure 2, Heroes, etc. were better and more detailed explaining in their stories. Granted, they weren't perfect but they handled things better than Forces.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 16th)

Diddy64

@nintendobynature I apologize for not replied sooner. As others have said, Super Metroid isn't as linear as Fusion and Zero Mission. It focus more on exploration. One thing that this game has in common with Zero Mission, is that it has map stations that reveals most of the area map, with the exception of secret areas or areas that contain multiple item upgrades/expansions.

If you had troubles when searching for areas that aren't mentioned (like when some areas of Fusion got blocked and the game didn't tell you what to do), then I recommend playing Zero Mission first as it is slightly less linear than Fusion but not too much imo. So it will be a good way to earn some experience for when you play Super Metroid.

I have not yet finished LoTR: The Third Age because I have alternated between Smash Bros Ultimate and Breath of the Wild and now that I recently purchased Mario + Rabbits Kingdom Battle, I think those three games are not going to be played for quite some days. I am having a blast with this game since I started playing it and I still haven't purchased the DK Adventure DLC, which I am going to buy once I beat the main game.

Re: Media Create Boss Says Switch Will Have A Seven Year Life Cycle, Sales To Grow In Third Year

Diddy64

If I'm not mistaken, the former president Tatsumi Kimishima said that they could make different Switch models like they did with 3DS/2DS and New 3DS/2DS and has you know, the New versions are upgraded ones. So I think that they should make an upgraded Switch for when Sony announces the PS5, PSZ or whatever it is called. I don't see a digital future possible because fiscal has benefits that digital doesn't have, and also because we will need like a 8G or 9G Internet for it to be speedy enough to make downloading in 15-45 minutes because most games nowadays have a lot of Giga Bytes. Not to mention that future games will take even more Giga Bytes, so I don't see digital becoming more desirable until 2040 and that's if they let us completely own the game, sell it and do whatever we want with the digital game. And as we know, that would not sit well with any gaming company, whether be Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony, so basically it will only happen in a perfect world.

Re: Microsoft Eager To "Bring Game Pass To Any Device" People Want To Play On

Diddy64

Having Rare games on Switch, even if is just the N64 ones, is something that many would like to see. Not to mention that both Microsoft and Nintendo both wins in the process and given how Nintendo is listening to the fans more and this interview reinforcing the rumours, I think Banjo can one of the remaining DLC fighter. Nintendo knows that he is one of the most voted characters in the Smash poll of Smash 4, which is the responsible for King K. Rool being in Smash Ultimate.

Re: Random: This Local Newspaper Seems To Think Pokémon Gun Is Real

Diddy64

@retro_player_22 Since these Pokemon games are more based on medieval things, if a third version happen, it will possibly be called Pokemon Lance or Pokemon Spear. But only Nintendo can convince Game Freak to make a third version again. They haven't done that in a long time (Diamond and Pearl).

Re: Anniversary: Nintendo Switch Launched Two Years Ago Today

Diddy64

Six moths ago I bought the Switch and have enjoyed games like Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, DKC Tropical Freeze and Smash Ultimate. Haven't had this much fun since the Nintendo Wii (I skipped the Wii U but purchased a 3DS).

What can I say? Well done Nintendo 😊 Keep giving us nice surprises like the ones you did in Smash Ultimate.
