It was obvious that he will never be in a game. After all, he is a character from an animated series.

I am not so sure that we will get another sword fighter after how people were very vocal about how they disliked this in Smash 3DS/Wii U. Granted, I also didn't liked that approach, but I do like Corrin. But back to the second DLC character speculation, I think this is just a person showing a shield from a franchise he likes. I don't think Nintendo would allow him to reveal a DLC character, as that must be an NDA thing most probably.

Hmm, this is very interesting.

Perhaps it's Super Metroid HD but with almost all content intact in the same way as Ocarina of Time 3D.

@Grumblevolcano I hope that they don't do a 1 major first party game again, as that would cause more people to grow tired and I am sure Nintendo must have seen that many people didn't liked this one-big-yearly-game approach.

@Grumblevolcano yes, it was overwhelming the focus of Smash. I think that in E3 they should have focused on more games, even if the games were 1 year away from being released.

@nintendobynature Agreed. I have it on Wii, but I like this franchise so much that won't mind buying it a second time.

@Grumblevolcano as much as I like Smash Ultimite, I have to admit that I also get tired of the Nintendo only focusing on Smash. I don't mind that they are promoting Smash to increase sales, but when the only major first party game is just one, it can get exhausting after a while.

@nintendobynature I know right? I also got disappointed with the Game Awards. I am hopeful but being carefully that I don't put my expectations too high.

Jokes aside, I would love it to be either Paper Mario with the RPG elements of the first two entries or a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD with the things that were scrapped from some of the Prime games.

@retro_player_22 you forgot a new Paper Mario returning to its RPG roots.

I will be playing Zelda Twilight Princess and LotR: The Third Age. I wanted to play Breath of the Wild but my joycons have not been returned yet, after sending them to repair due to problems with both control sticks.

@rxchrisg As someone who is not interested in most of the NES games, this offer little value to me.

Whenever they make a Switch Mini, a Switch without a dock, a Switch Pro or all of these options, just give us better joycons with durable control sticks.

Good to know they will continue making direct. As for the unannounced game that Nintendo says that will delight the fans, my guess is that Paper Mario will come but with the RPG elements of the first two entries. I know it's a bold guess but a 2D Zelda is not something farfetched to happen (Edit: What I mean is that everyone could see a 2D Zelda happening, so if this unannounced game is to be something that delight fans in the same way as Super Mario Party, it has to be something like a new Paper Mario with the elements of Paper Mario 1 and 2.

I would like to see N64 games for Switch Online. Preferably with an option to buy them, so that I can play it anywhere without needing internet.

Not a bad idea, though I don't know if they should made the screen smaller. One thing I hope they also do this year, is that Nintendo releases more durable joycons, especially stronger analog sticks.

@MoonKnight7 True. Also we need new announcements for other franchises as not everyone likes those games. I do like Yoshi, Luigi's Mansion and Pokémon but I think we need a 2D game from either Zelda, Metroid or Donkey Kong.

Good to see that Fire Emblem is to be released this year. Hopefully a 2D Metroid and/or a 2D Zelda is announced this year.

Brave could refer to Bravely Default, which will cool to have a character from that franchise. I prefer characters that aren't bland, so any of the four characters (Tiz, Agnes, Edea, Ringabell) will be welcome.

Definitely something that I would gladly buy 😊

@Doger Excellent argument. As I said before, I am not against a Minecraft character. Also, popularly and sells numbers doesn't equal always that a character has earned a place to be in Smash. If that was the case then characters like Ice Climbers wouldn't be in Smash because they haven't had a game since the NES era.

One of the reasons why Banjo should come first is because he has PERSONALITY and because his games helped the 3D Platforming genre.

A good 3D platformer is always welcome 😊 I have never played but from what I have seen from some videos it looks nice. Definitely interested in buying it.

@patbacknitro18 Perhaps. Your idea about a Steve DLC Mii costume with possibly Banjo being a DLC character sounds the most reasonable thing for Nintendo to do.

@Spudtendo I am not against a Minecraft character to be in Smash. What I am mean is that Banjo should come first. Do you want to see the uproar that will be unleashed if Steve comes before Banjo? It will create the greatest division in the Smash Bros community since the Melee fans vs the Smash 4 fans. I do not want that to happen.

@Paraka I disagree. Where were those Minecraft fans when Nintendo allowed Minecraft to be in the Wii U and the 3DS? Did Minecraft reach 30-50 million sales on the 3DS? Also, this new Nintendo under the management of Shuntaro Furukawa is focusing more on the loyal fans. An example of this is Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, King K. Rool, Simon Belmont, Ken and Dark Samus being in Smash Ultimate are all proof this.

I have been less time there since I came to this site because people are really nice here.

@Yosher Its called My Nintendo News. Although there are some good folks there, the site has had some toxic persons for years now and since the site uses WordPress, it is impossible to block anyone.

@Yosher there is a news site where someone is attacking everyone. I think my days at that site will sooner or later be over.

Hopefully they give us Prime Trilogy HD in an E3 announcement so that it we get a taste of how Prime 4 would be. I hope that after one clears all prime games of the Prime Trilogy HD, they give us a secret mini trailer for Prime 4 even if it's just a beta of the game.

Sad to hear this news. Perhaps it is for the best now that Retro Studios will work on the Prime franchise.

Not a bad idea. I occasionally enjoy playing in 3D on the New 3DS. Just hope that if it comes to the Switch, they have a 3D level adjuster like the 3DS and New 3DS.

I just hope that not every Octopath sequel looks like the first one. I like the visuals, but it will sooner or later became stale if they don't make some changes.

From 64 to 3DS/Wii U, and now Ultimate, I thank both Iwata (Iwata helped in Smash 64) and Sakurai for such an excellent franchise. It's sad that I couldn't play the Wii U version. All other Smashs have being part of my life. hopefully I will have a Wii U in the future.

This is great! Now I can buy two games for $40 😊 Majora's Mask was a day one purchase because I like it a lot. I would love to see a remake of Donkey Kong 64 either in 3DS and/or Switch.
