Another busy week has flown by with new reports of an upcoming Switch console revision and that surprise Nintendo Direct Mini, but now it's time to take a breather and chat about our weekend gaming plans.
Members of Nintendo Life have done just that below, and we'd love for you to join in via our poll and comment sections. Enjoy!

This weekend I shall be steering clear of the Switch eShop sales and putting some time into the excellent Star Wars Episode I: Racer. Elsewhere, I’ll endeavour to complete Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs’ Big Break on Game Boy – a game I’ve started a handful of times this week but haven’t been able to finish thanks to real life butting its nose in. Man, playing a great Konami game really makes the fact the company doesn’t make video games anymore a drag.
Ah, at least we’ve got the classics. If I get time, I might squeeze in some Gradius on the Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection and I also downloaded A Short Hike last night and hope to devour that in one sitting. That it’s true to its title and isn't a 20-hour slog is a genuine boon for me, and I'm really looking forward to it!

The Switch game I'll be spending most of my time with this weekend is probably Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered. I know it's not the most popular spin-off nowadays, but back when it first came out on the GameCube I was blown away by the multiplayer. As difficult as it was to get together a group of friends that all had Game Boy Advance and the special GCN-GBA link cables - if you did manage to pull it off, it offered hours of fun. Hopefully, the new one can provide me with just as much enjoyment, despite the exclusion of local play.
Apart from this, I'm planning to revisit Jump Force Deluxe. I did play this one a little on another platform last year but never returned, so I'm hoping the Switch version of it can hold my attention this time around. One other thing I've been up to recently that I'll be continuing this weekend are my time trials in Sonic Mania Plus. Yes, I've become addicted to speed runs in Sonic - I'm even watching the best ones on YouTube to try and perfect my own attempts. Gotta go fast!

I feel like a broken record, but this weekend I'm really going to attack my backlog. I have so many games that I've started and never finished - or finished the main storyline and never completed the post-game or DLC portions. These include Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokémon Shield, Ring Fit Adventure, Zelda: Link's Awakening, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Paper Mario: The Origami King, Super Mario Odyssey... honestly, pretty much every game out there. I believe I even still have a few Korok seeds to find in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
And, like most weekends, I'm sure my plans will fail and I'll just mess around in Animal Crossing: New Horizons or something dumb and make zero progress. Stay tuned for next week, when I have the exact same plans!

I'm finally nearing the end of Paper Mario: The Origami King (I think!) and will no doubt be trying to finish the game off over the next few days. As I mentioned last week, I've been really enjoying my time with it so far and despite what other people might say, I think the battle system is good fun.
Elsewhere, after watching the rather enjoyable High Score on Netflix, I've been really in the mood for some old classics. Sadly, for me, this always results in me eyeing up old consoles on eBay (I really should stop this), but I did bring the NES Classic console downstairs last night to play some original Super Mario Bros. and Excitebike. Maybe next I'll jump into something I've never played before? Have a good one!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

I just finished Spiritfarer so I need to pick a new game to start. So many to choose from so it’s never an easy choice. Playing Groove Coaster till I decide.
A few weeks ago I got back into Link's Awakening, but I've since lapsed. I should be on the home stretch though.
I've returned to Two Point Hospital, which I have been neglecting to play for a few months. Such a huge improvement over Theme Hospital, but the staff's thirst for raises is bloody insatiable...
Project Cars 3 and more Crysis for me. Although I am tempted to buy The Last Bonfire, too.
It feels odd to see Ring Fit Adventure included as a game in someone's backlog and not just a fitness tool.
I'll be finishing the Golden Deer Route of Fire Emblem Three Houses after coming to terms with the fact that they're never going to create an ultimate route so I'll just have to get used to killing my students...
Still on the Witcher 3.. which has proved to be perhaps the best value game I have ever bought. So many hours in and still in the first of 5 regions
This week I will be mostly playing
Mario & Rabbids DLC
A Little Bit Of Brain Training Maths
Just started playing scribblenauts mega-pack Its been great so far got the game on sale for just ten bucks nice.
I'm actually back on Links Awakening and just taken Marin to the Animal Village, this is genuinely one of the best looking games I've played on any system. Also back on Animal Crossing and finally got round to Octopath Traveller. On my PS4 I've been playing some Vader Immortal on PSVR which is a must for any Star Wars fan
Switch: Captain Tsubasa - Ronc! I love it!
and some dark souls remastered, pga 2k21, madden 21 and f120 on ps4
but i guess tsubasa will eat up 90% of my game time
@carlos82 I agree - so much flack about the style before it was released but I loved it since I first laid eyes on it.
More MCC on the XB1 front given I've nearly gotten all the Season 2 unlocks. Once that is complete, I'll head back to DQXIS (that game has been very helpful during the current Switch drought).
Currently trying to finish Call of Juarez and, in between, playing Burnout Paradise.
Apart from these, there is nothing interesting for me to play afterwards.
A Short Hike, Rocket League, Breath of the Wild, Manifold Garden, Jamestown +, and Kingdom New Lands and Two Crowns.
I just bought the Pokemon Shield DLC so I'll be playing that. Oh and there's a Smash Bros spirit event too, isn't there? I'll try and remember to play that as well.
Playing Minish Cap at the moment.
I’ve started this game so many times but never got very far.
Just about finished the first dungeon so that’s better than my previous efforts.
Been playing wolfenstein Youngblood , working through treasure finding after completing game...😘
Need for Speed Underground 2 on the GameCube and Club House Games for the Switch.
A whole lot of Final Fantasy Tactics. First time playing it since 1998 and I actually plan on beating it this time around.
I'm playing Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, working on getting all the emblems. So far I have A ranked all the Hero side story missions, and once I get an A rank for all missions from those stages, I'll either A: start the Dark side story, or B: start raising Chao. This is my first completionist run of SA2B, and so far, nothing has broken me.
Today I beat Paper Mario The Origami King. Absolutely loved it, one of Nintendo's stronger output and one I hopes breaks the 10mil sold barrier, the game definitely deserves it.
Also jumped into Smash Bros and grabbed the spirits minutes ago.
I always love hearing people tackle their backlog because it lights a fire for me to do the same. Plus playing games already out beats whinging about games not getting release announcements. So in that spirit I'll be tackling either Xenoblade Chronicles DE (roughly 20 hours in), Persona 4 Golden (80 hours in and right near the end), or Bayonetta. Don't know which yet.
Playing Nexomon Extinction and having lots of fun, it has been a long time since I had a challenge on a monster collecting game.
Ni No Kuni and some Horizon Chase Turbo
After some time away from it, decided to dive back into Dragon Quest XI S for the post game storyline and it reminded me how good that game is! Also going to play a bit of Borderlands Pre-Sequel as I never got to play it when it originally released
Mother 3 fan translation on an EZ flash card in my gameboy micro. Might see if there is anything worthwhile and new in the current sales, but not seen anything yet.
Finally got Bloodstained on PS4. Actually got the Switch version for Christmas but could not get past the title screen without going online, so got a refund. No similar requirement on PS4 and game is very addictive. Must be getting near the end of Doom Eternal as it is getting very hard. The designer who thought a FPS would be good with platforming combining a double jump and double dash is mad. Just got to the Great Wall of China in Titan Quest on Switch. Great game.
I picked up Jets & Guns on sale. It's a spectacularly explosive shoot'em up with a nice sense of humour. Other than playing that, will pop in to ACNH for some maintenance and then learn some systems in Aeroflly 2020.
I'll be playing Rocket League like always, in fact I've just put it on.
Other than that, I'm not sure. I'm either going to start one of the many unplayed games in my backlog or go back to one of the many unfinished games.
I just completed Huntdown the other day and loved every second of it. One of the Switch's best indies for sure.
Finally got myself Horizon Chase Turbo the other day. It's a lot of fun. Next to that I'll be playing some Splatoon 2
Probably just gonna be playing The Witcher 3 again on PC, with some Valorant matches here and there. Then probably check in with my villagers in New Horizons and maybe a little bit of Modern Warfare on PS4. So much for that Nintendo Direct this week, am I right? 🙄 Not surprised it was a load of bull, but I’m honestly getting fed up with Nintendo’s silence at this point. Absolutely no excuse for it, man.
Animal Crossing New Horizons for more than 420 hours within 9 weeks in a row. 😀
Still keep farming the stuffs from Gulliver by Time Travelling but i still couldn't find Celeste at night even by doing Time Travelling.
I played Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PS2 in the morning as i got the game from Ebay yesterday. The graphic was really laughable jaggy as it ported from PSP version and i chose PS2 version for better camera angle controlling by Right Analog button.
And Yaay... I got ALL Ratchet & Clank games ! 😁
I didn’t vote because I have no idea what I’m playing! I want to play something off the backlog but undecided what.
Clearing my backlog, just finished xenoblade DE. Going to beat samus returns prolly this weekend or the next.
I intend to finish Donkey Kong Country 2 on the 3DS VC. I started it right after I finished the first one, about two months ago, but left it about 3/4 of the way through.
My plan is to play all 5 DKC games on 3DS and switch, in chronological order.
Playing Animal Crossing New Horizons as it arrived thursday. My 5 year old daughter and me are playing local co-op, I'm helping really
Getting further into epilogue of Xenoblade, also gotten hooked anew on Binding of Isaac. High quality combination of short burst and longer sitting.
A bit of the below:
A Short Hike - played an hour+, need to finish it.
Binding of Issac - because why not. Unlocked Samson and Judas yesterday.
Faeria - a mission or two each day at the very least. Just focusing on building my card collection.
Dead Cells - on my first run in 2BC difficulty. Having no heal fountain this time round is going to be painful.
Slay the Spire - because addiction. Always in it for the Daily Runs, at least.
Back into my console groove, there's a lot I may find myself in the mood for, all the way to the casual pastimes like Jumping Joe & Friends - but the past few days have already seen me resume Burnout and revisit Steamworld Dig among other things, so chances are I'll dedicate some time here, too. Still dropping by WoT Blitz whose battles and matchmaking/loading times thankfully seem to live up to the title, but the experience also got me in the mood for some Tank Troopers - similar gameplay but focusing on single player and local MP, plus its own traits like custom crews from distinct unlockable characters.
Time will tell if I'll resume my JRPG backlog (read: its most recent rotation including the Xenoblades and Eternia) now or wait until next week, but I may revisit the finished Bioshock once again and poke around in the challenge rooms some more before making room for the smaller but still sizeable Bioshock 2 download. Then again, I can't say "I'm really feeling it" about the rooms so far - they're neatly designed but I've got used to dealing with such challenges within the story and exploration environment of the main game, so these segments feel a bit disconnected for my taste (not that the mode and the disclaimer accompanying it ever pretend otherwise).
Austin, I think is fairly typical of a lot of gamers, me included. He has a backlog of unfinished games.
This suggests that games don't have, anymore, that 'pull' to keep you interested for to long.
We get to the end of the game, but we are not interested in going back to find or collect the 'stuff' that doesn't need collecting. Or after completing half of the game we feel that the rest is just more of the same, so we move on. Or because there is an easy level we use that, complete the game and there is no incentive to replay it. Many games are to clinical and the adventure or exploration element is missing.
My list of unfinished games is getting longer, but when I go back to them there is a learning curve to be able to get fully back into the game, which reminds me why i stopped playing it in the first place.
Maybe we grow out of playing games or maybe developers try to level their games at to wide a market.
Back on topic, I'm playing Bioshock 3, 70% into it and that 'pull' to keep me playing is fading.
In a sports kick at the moment; Captain Tsubasa on switch. And madden 21 on ps4. Maybes sometime for FF14 which I doubt!
I splurged $5 and got PikuNiku and Runner3. Considering splurging $15 more on Lonely Mountains.
Ghost of Tsushima.
I've been playing Slay the Spire, Dead Cells and Horizon Chase Turbo.
Last night, I started getting back into playing The Adventure Pals in co-op with my wife, and it's getting a lot more fun tha our last session when we started it. I never heard of this game before it went on sale, and I think it still may be on sale at under $4 Canadian. If you like cute platformers, chances are you'll love this.
Other than that, I'll be trying to finish up Death Squared, which in my opinion, is vastly more fun in single player, as the co-op mode frustrated my wife and I to no end. Being in control of both characters at once is important when I need to rely on VERY precise, synchronized movement to solve challenging puzzles.
I’ve had Skyrim sitting on my homescreen for weeks and finally started playing. Completely hooked 😉
After 5 days away from the switch (family camping) I am back to ACNH and loving it. When the grind gets a little stale, I can exercise creativity with terraforming. This game is simply fantastic.
Pikuniku was on sale, it is a pretty funny platformer. Just finished Travel Mosaics 3, I like it better than picross. And maybe jump into Rocket League.
Happy gaming everyone!
Just got the Lordvessel from Anor Londo in Dark Souls. This is a great rock solid port on Switch. Much better than the first time I played though. Also much easier the second time around, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Also some Taiko No Tetjusin is in store. Got the drum and everything a while back.
I'm still playing smash and Animal Crossing. Smashimal Crossing
Mostly Burnout Paradise, that game is soo good
But I'll also check some short length indies, like A Short Hike and Paratopic
I've been playing sonic heroes on my gamecube...but it's hard because its just so bad. I dont know if some of these levels were ever play tested, because I've lost so many lives to glitches its insane
@Peteykins Jungle Beat is such a phenomenal game. I don't know if any game has ever put such a massive smile on my face. Playing on the bongos is so goofy and yet so satisfying. And the combo system is brilliant.
Yoku's Island Express. It's on sale for a fiver, and I just loved the demo. I got Donut County for about 3.50 too, so I'll have a go of that.
So far I've played the CrisTales Demo. Next I'm starting Child of Light (I'm so excited)!
@quigtendo wise decision made by you. That game is epic.
Shin Megami Tensei IV. It seems that the 3DS will never really die, in my case.
Next weekend I’ll be trying out origami king the for the first time as I Ebayed it. I’m interested but wary at the same time. This weekend tho I’ve just recently picked breath of the wild back up. I’ve never beaten the dlc quests in there. I finished the beginners quest in trials of the sword but the middle one has given me some trouble. It’s fun tho, maybe I should conquer a few more shrines to get my hearts up tho.
I finally bit the bullet and bought Animal Crossing this morning! It’s endearingly sweet and seems to be a bit bonkers (in a “normal” type way) but I’m enjoying it. My mate tried to fly over from his island (he’s had the game since launch), but the friendly Dodo told me that gates don’t open until tomorrow!
This is now me committed to the game for quite possibly the rest of my life ...
Banjo-Kazooie (N64) - Finally made it to Click Clock Wood
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Don't really want to finish this at all, such a great game.
Angry Birds (Windows Phone) - Seven more levels to 3 star and I'm all done.
Just finished the first 18 holes of PGA 2K21. Its bloody great. Not going to be touching much else for awhile.
I have started replaying Bastion and Transistor on the Switch preparing for the drop of Hades
Also will probably play some Crysis too.
this weekend, i'm gonna continue on in , Hypnospace Outlaw, the Glass masquerade bundle and Ghost Files: Memory of a murder, i'm in a puzzle mood this weekend.
Going old school this weekend, I started the weekend off with some Super Castlevania IV, a great game that's always a blast to play, absolutely love it. While I'm at it, I might also play Contra III: The Alien Wars for a bit as well.
As for tomorrow, I'm thinking of starting yet another game of Pokemon Fire Red and playing through that.
@Link41x love the story in the point lookout dlc for Fallout 3.
Captain toad with the other half and some more street of rage 4. Fun games.
So far, I'm playing nothing. But since it's raining all day, that may change.
I'll probably play some Crash Team Racing for the weekend bonus multiplier, or Rocket League.
I may work on CTR time trials. The last 3-4 bonus tracks, i never went after oxides times. On that christmas track, Gingerbread something?, you really gotta thread the needle on that main shortcut.
For me it’s all about:
Nexomon : extinction
Spiritfarer
A short hike
Jump King
And walking dead season 2
Great indie weekend
I am falling into the bad habit of starting games and leaving them unfinished while moving on to new ones. Over the past couple months I’ve nearly finished Golden Sun and Hollow Knight, and while I should just wrap those up and be done with them, I’ve since begun replays of Starfox Adventures, Metroid Prime: Federation Force (in co-op with a friend) and Banjo Tooie, all of which remain far from finished. And while I should just finish any one of those, I opted instead to start Astral Chain the other day, instead. I have a problem.
Working thru a link to the past, and Haunted:Halloween 86 curse of Possum Hollow. But mostly mario plus rabbids kingdom battle.
I’ve finished TOK- it was a pretty good game! I liked the battle system overall but I did find it lacked variety and got pretty old. The boss battles were fantastic though and the story and atmosphere were great. Overall I think it’s definitely worth playing.
Now to shift back into my backlog I’ve started playing Glass Masquerade 2- I think it’s on sale for ridiculously cheap it’s worth it if you enjoy jigsaw puzzles .
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
@quigtendo I finished the main story of Switcher last weekend after 120 hours - absolutely amazing. I still have the expansion packs to go through but I’m saving them for 2021. You are right, one of the best value games on Switch.
At the moment I’ve started Link’s Awakening. The childhood memories are strong with this game.
After being baffled by the awful performance of Control on my X1X I decided to revisit Hyrule warriors on Wii U and lvl up some characters. Also playing PSO 2, Dead by daylight and Wreckfest on X1.
I'm playing Two Point Hospital. I just bought it, bc it has a 40% discount on the eShop, so I thought it was time to get it.
I'm really loving it!
I use slower months in the release schedule to add to my retro collection, so I actually welcome the opportunity.
I finally got an HDMI converter for my GameCube. Kaico's adapter works the same as Eon's at nearly half the price. I'm playing Super Mario Sunshine when I'm off work. It looks great on my 50" Toshiba 4k TV. Especially with the artificial scan lines.
I also finally got my hands on one of the smaller model New 3DS systems. The New XL just felt too big and heavy to carry around with my Switch. The small one is the perfect size for fitting in the pocket. I got a new 1up themed faceplate and it looks great. I'm finally playing through Metroid: Samus Returns. It looks great on the smaller screen.
On my Switch, I'm still playing Paper Mario Origami King. It's such a fun game to explore. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and taking my time to find everything.
Besides all of that, I have some great books to read. I'm all set for stimulating entertainment for a while.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Animal Crossing, Spiritfarer, Jump Force and Short Hike
I was making great progress on my backlog and about halfway through Thumper, but then I decided I wanted to play something not stressful during my ridiculously short summer vacation and decided to check out a little bit more of Xenoblade. Ahhh crap, it's going to be months before I play anything else now, I bet.
All the shadow drops from Friday's direct.
A Hat in Time and Ys I. Both on PC.
Will be playing A Short Hike, and maybe some more Pokemon Sword as well. Have a great weekend everyone!
Still playing Pikmin 2 on my Wii. And can't decide what game i want to buy... xenoblade, fire emblem, or gonna try animal crossing..... cannot wait for some new game announcements....
It’s funny you’ve got Link’s Awakening in the thumbnail, I’ve just started a re-play of it. It was that or Mario Odyssey again for like the tenth time, I thought I’d best give Mario a rest.
Yoshi’s Crafted World. I really like completing the levels 100%.
I'm currently working on my Mario 35th anniversary marathon. I'm on Super Mario Sunshine right now. Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga is up next. I'll be playing the original version as opposed to the remake. I'll play the remake at a later date, but for now I just wanted to play the original.

I also may play New Super Lucky's Tale on my PS4. I 100%ed it on Switch and got it again on PS4 for 60 FPS. I love that game. Everything about it from the characters to the music is just precious, and I want a sequel.
I’m going through my second play through of Dark Souls on Switch. Missed a few things on my first time and did the Fire ending, I’ll be doing the Dark ending this time.
Finished off Astral Chain and Rygar from NS Online last week. Both great, fun games!
I think this weekend, I'm dusting off the Wii U to play Pikmin 3 and the Wonderful 101, two Wii U games that are now (or will be) Switch titles that I like, but doubt I will be double dipping on.
Also thinking of picking up Ultimate Alliance 3 in honor of Chadwick Boseman. RIP.
It's a portable-only weekend for me as I'm doing a bit of traveling. Due to its smaller form factor, I've brought my trusty OG 3DS along and intend to continue my Ghost Trick playthrough. I'm in Chapter 5 and really enjoying my time with the game!
Some Pokemon Go while I'm out and about too, as usual.
Have a great weekend!
@BenAV I read your posts and you have a good perspective. What did you think of Spiritfarer? I am debating between that game and Ever gate as my next game. What did you think about the game?
Started secret of mana on the collection of mana game. First time playing it and enjoying it so far
Nexomon Extinction. I am enjoying it.
Animal Crossing & Octopath Traveller
@dugan I had a blast with it. The art style and animations looks great and the gameplay's a lot of fun. It's reasonably lengthy but I smashed through it in a few days because I couldn't put it down. I bought it really cheap (through the Russian eShop) but I would have gotten my money's worth if I had have paid full price.
Probably just Animal Crossing on Switch. I’ll be on the Sega Genesis Mini as well.
sor 4, the legend of zelda snes and cod zombies bo4 on xbox. been also playing nba 2k20 on switch, lots of fun
Zelda BoTW all the time!
Will probably download A Short Hike as I almost pulled the trigger last weekend. Definitely some more Lonely Mountains: Downhill. And I should probably get around to opening that Ring Fit Adventure that's been just sitting in my house for over a month. Can't believe I've treated it like every other piece of exercise equipment I own....
Animal Crossing for a little while like I have everyday. I just finished Cat Quest II, so I think I'll put that one down for a while and then maybe play New Game+.
I want to play the Dragon Quest games from the beginning, so I just started Dragon Quest I. I'm close to beating Brave Dungeon on Lunatic Mode, so I'll probably play some of that. Others I might play include Arcade Spirits, Pillars of Eternity, and Cinders. I also might play Stakes Winner. I am so sad that there are multiple horse racing games on Switch, but the two Stakes Winner games are the only non-mobile ones in English. They are old arcade games and while they're fun, I want a deeper Gallop Racer/G1 Jockey type game. Or on Switch it would be Winning Post and Derby Stallion, the other two are long gone.
EDIT: Cattails had an update so I played that for a little while. I forgot how much I liked that game.
Hypnospace Outlaw
NSR and Nexomon
Fire Emblem: Three Houses for me. Only 4 more chapters to go in my Golden Deer maddening playthrough!
Y'all heard of Jet Force Gemini? Found it at a used shop last week.
I usually play a game, go off it for a few weeks, and then play it again. I'm replaying Xenoblade DE, and completed the entire Colony 6 sidequest, Collectopaedia, and have nearly maxed out affinity!
@KayFiOS Wow that's quite a job getting A rank on everything. I got really frustrated after a while and gave up. You get an extra level to play if you get all A rank on everything.
I have been collecting physical DS and 3ds games for a while, and my gargantuan backlog is starting to overwhelm me...
I chose to go back to Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light, which is a great rpg.
I am also playing Spyhunter in the 3ds, which is a pretty fun little game!
Super Mario World 2020
Retro City Rampage DX
Mega Man 2
Final Fight 3 (NES Demake)
Ninja Gaiden (Arcade)
Mario Kart DS
As the previous week, I am playing Ys VIII Lacrimosa of DANA (yes, her name is full caps in the title screen). Despite not being as good as the PS4 or PC version, I like how you can play on TV or on the go quickly thanks to the Switch.
GRID Autosport online MP. Love it
@charlieonholiday oh I finally finished that before going back to Witcher 3. Had to use walkthroughs though. Those old games are surprisingly tough....
Not a lot of love for Captain Tsubasa huh? Also no review? I just got and gonna give it a spin tomorrow morning ⚽️
@Rpg-lover so epic. Especially if you don't have any other versions to compare to ha.
@Peteykins That game might actually be perfect. I was so blown away by how fun it was the first time I played through it!
Bomber Crew for me, as I picked up the physical Complete Edition recently.
@Ralizah What do you think about A Hat in Time so far? I thought it was a super charming little homage.
I started slay the spire. Only did a handful of runs and beat the first boss a couple of times. It's my first card battle game, but I thought I would give a shot since I love rogue like games and it gets a ton of good reviews.
@Giygas_95
Amazing list, and thanks for sharing! If it was me, I’d play until Mario’s 36th anniversary and still not be able to finish all those! Good luck and enjoy them!
@Teksetter Thanks! I actually had the other Mario vs. Donkey Kong games on my list, but I finally decided I'd rather not bother with them because they're more puzzle games than platformers, and I just don't find them all that interesting. Plus I'd have to actually go out of my way to acquire most of them. For me, Mario vs. Donkey and Donkey Kong 94 are the best ones, and all the others I can do without...
Oh, and I expect to go into Mario's 36th anniversary. I won't finish all these anytime soon.
Still stuck on my phoenix wright playthrough, alongside enter and exit the gungeon which i will probably playthrough with a friend.
Just finished the hotline miami collection and i must say that i have really fallen in love with that bloodbath, although i didn't get much of the story until i read a bit more about it
Weird you didn’t mention Captain Tsubasa.... and what’s with the random Tiny Toons reference?
lol 3% playing FF shows that this remaster sucks
@NerdyBoutKirby that is a great game
LOL ONE PERSON PLAYING JUMP FORCE BAHAHAHAH
Playing LoZ Links Awakening. Can't believe this game cost 60 bucks!!! Glad I received it as a gift but wouldn't recommend spending more than $40. If you spin in a circle the game lags...and I have it on cartridge. Anyway, still enjoying the few hours with it but can't wait to get into Street of Rage 4 again after I beat this
Been playing A Link to the Past as well as Ori and the Blind Forest, then tomorrow is my weekly Warzone session with some friends
moon on the Nintendo Switch
Lemmings on the Super Famicom
@NotTelevision I'm enjoying it thus far, although I'll admit the presentation and game design haven't really blown me away. I do think it works better as an N64/GameCube-era collectathon homage than Yooka-Laylee, though, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with it.
Also, there's an insane amount of cool user-submitted content to play around with in the PC version, so I think I'll be spending time with it well past when the credits roll.
Working on my first run through BioShock. Lonely Mountains: Downhill and some Super Meat Boy! Cheers!
Wargroove, finally decided to buy the physical version for €20, as we're probably not getting a new classic Advance Wars game anytime soon, despite the Switch being the perfect upgrade of the GBA. And I need to get back to Ring Fit, because now that it's raining again and much colder, it's harder to enjoy just going outside in my forest here for physical exercise, and I don't want my punching bag and boxing gloves out in the rain.
@Ralizah @NotTelevision Just finished New Super Lucky's Tale, another enjoyable throwback with more modern technology, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the more divisive Snake Pass (which is in my opinion a real gem, one of the best, and truly unique as well). But if you want more of that and haven't tried those, I'd suggest either, especially Snake Pass but I've read quite a few opinions of people that didn't enjoy it as much... However if you do, and you get good at it, it's one of the best and most original 3D platformers I've played in a long time.
@Mamabear Yeah played the 1st GM, not a bad little game...
@Benjinat Sorry does that use "touch screen" controls or ?...Looks like a great game...
Splatoon 2 is what I've been playing for the last few months, and I'm not stopping now.
@Sim1
Nope, it doesn't use touch controls. But yeah, the game is awesome!
I totally recommend it 👍
@SterlingEyes I just played through Minish cap a couple weeks ago and just adored it. It is so refined. The dungeons are great as well.
@NintendoPok I play roms every day while drinking homebrew and burn CDs I don't own then light up grass that's too green in some states. I love life
@Sim1 I liked the first one enough to buy the second 😀. I can say I find the puzzles to be generally a little more difficult in the 2nd game at least.
Also wrapped up Kid Niki from Arcade Archives. Man, one hit kills and starting over from the beginning of the level made it a tough game to beat!
A latecomer to the scene, but I finally got a copy Breath of the Wild, a belated birthday present from my wife. As a dad with a son, a daughter on the way, and various expenses, I wanted the game so bad, but couldn't get it until now.
Just a few hours in, but I now fully understand just how majestic this game is. I can already see myself beating my 255+ hours of Disgaea 5 Complete playing BOTW.
Ton of Yoshi’s Crafted World — I’m enjoying it! Inventive, beautiful, and stress-free. Easy as all get up, but that’s a nice change of pace.
F1 2020 for pc, my switch is collecting dust, just waiting for the BOTW sequel, there are no other new games I'm interested for switch, sadly.
@Mamabear ohk sweet, thanks 4 letting me know...
@Benjinat ah ok I c, thanks, it's just that my Joycon is drifting so I'm confined 2 touchscreen games just now...
A Short Hike. Everybody go buy it (only $7). It's a tiny little masterpiece. You're welcome.
@WCB
^this
No games coming out and that's a good thing XD always confuses me when people moan about it. Do they never just go through the ESHOP and play something other than big N releases?
Thinking i will die before I get through my backlog
Besides the ones on the poll (Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Animal Crossing New Horizons), I'm playing Layton's Mystery Journey, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy!
