I'm not naive enough to believe that every branch of Nintendo except this specific Russian one is actually everyone being friends and having a good time at work, like the heavily edited behind the scenes for Disney movies.
That said, what this person did was obviously unprofessional even if the camera was off.
The only "new" game Nintendo is actually publishing is the Bowser's Inside Story re-release.
And there are like 3 or 4 new games total coming out in the next 5 months.
There are no resources being "drained" into the 3DS, and furthermore, I haven't actually heard any complaints about that in the first place.
And Nintendo has said in the past they weren't going to stop supporting the 3DS even though nobody believed them and it very clearly has happened.
I feel like this quote was made more to try and draw attention to the 3DS and try to squeeze out more sales since the 3DS, or the 2DS, which is what Nintendo is really pushing in commercials for kids, rather then because anyone was actually complaining about the 3DS being supported, which it isn't.
I know Germany has some crazy media laws (they tried to ban people from playing video games too late, not sure if the law is still active), but I wonder what happened that made them have to change the voice specifically in Germany.
They took features people have been asking for forever, like Pokemon following you, and put them in a version of the game fans didn't want, with smartphone mechnaics.
There are people here celebrating the fact that Nintendo sued rom websites to take them offline, still refuses to offer any legal way to purchase these games, and instead wants you to pay a subscription service for the privilege of accessing a fraction of these very, very, very old games for a limited amount of time.
Unless you're a madman with too much time and candy most of these Pokemon weren't even worth powering up so there wasn't actually a place to use up the candies.
As someone who recently quit the Animal Crossing Mobile game it just never got better.
It's basically just a grindy fetch quest game.
Than they added loot boxes into the game.
They never really made much improvements since the game's launch, if anything, they made the game more grindy in areas to try and encourage you to spend real money to skip it.
I feel like this is more people being hopeful that Bowsette will go away then because Guitar Rosalina is gaining anywhere near as much traction as Bowsette.
Based on the description in the article, another possible reason was Nintendo was probably afraid the Switches being sold at a lower price than they wanted would devalue the Switch everywhere, and thus refused to sell it to Amazon France if they discounted it too much (even if it was Amazon who was taking the hit of of the discount).
Another example of this is how many luxury retailers straight burn their unsold products because allowing them to be put on sale would devalue their brand.
Regardless of if you like Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball FighterZ is an example of a well made fighting game with something for both competitive players (competitive multiplayer) and casuals (well produced story mode).
Since almost all multiplayer games in the Switch are peer to peer, isn't upload speed important since one person is going to be designated as the host and everybody else plays the game off of their console?
Not sold yet but Starlink is seemingly doing what Star Fox fans have wanted for a long time.
Advancing Star Fox in both game play and story(?) while keeping it a game about space vehicle combat.
Most importantly, it's not Star Fox 64 again.
Although despite being a spin off, I assume this means they are rebooting the Star Fox franchise from 64 again since it's Peppy instead of Krystal in the game.
Not sure about the business model for this game though.
I hope people aren't going to congratulate Nintendo for alleviating a problem they intentionally made themselves to try and sell people on the subscription service.
And it still doesn't solve the self created issue of not being able to back up your saves to the SD card offline, and the only back up option being a paid subscription service.
Reminder that nobody has a paid subscription service as the only means to back up your saves, including Nintendo before the Switch.
Or the nonsense of not allowing certain games be backed up because they think it'll be used for cheating.
If you are suggesting that the Switch cannot handle voice chat by itself which is why the app being separate from the Switch on your smartphone was the only way around that, Fortnite has voice chat that works natively off of just the Switch without the need for an external app on a separate piece of hardware.
In summery the main problem with the Switch Online Smartphone App is that it's on your smartphone instead of on your Switch where it makes sense for it to be.
Being able to access your account on your smartphone is fine.
Only being able to access it on your smartphone and needing a 3 way with your Switch for voice chat is stupid.
If you like point and click games this game is okay.
It's a traditional point and click and like many of them you're often solving problems in unconventional ways.
The story is okay, I wouldn't say it's amazing, but they do a decent job of pacing out the story to make you want to find out more of what's happening (and keep playing).
There are times when what you have to do to progress the story is unclear and too abstract, and you may need to look up what the game wants you to do in a guide.
At least that's what I remember from when I played this a long time ago.
Despite Nintendo suing tons of emulator sites before the launch of the Nintendo Online Service, people having been playing NES games for free on emulators for years already.
You can play NES games on your phone through an emulator app, which is actually more convenient than on the Switch, even if it wasn't free.
So the perception of value for NES games is practically nothing at this point.
The main Senran Kagura games are beat-em-ups, in which while the hook is the destructible clothes, most fans stay because they grow to like the characters, many of which have pretty good stories written behind them. But the games have many spin-off titles, and this one of them. In no Senran Kagura game, is there actual nudity. At most in any game, you see censored nipples and crotches via a white light.
Given that this review was done by the same person who considers "Gone Home" a masterpiece, it's absolutely no surprise that he hates Senran Kagura Reflexions.
I'm not sure why he decided to review a game he knew wasn't meant for him and he was going to hate from the very beginning based on politics alone.
I grinded the heck out of this game in the GameCube and got all the best equipment, but in the end I don't think the concept of the game was actually that good.
The chalice mechanic frankly, just sucks.
Especially in multiplayer, nobody actually wants to carry the chalice, and it feels like you're punishing whoever you make do it.
The "Telltale engine" could be improved sure, but that's not what fans are let down by.
It's that Telltale games, by now, are quite famous for their use of "the illusion of choice".
The games give you a bunch of choices, they even tell you your choices are important, but it's all lies, at the end of the story, none of them really matter.
You can never really save someone with your choices, if someone is scripted to die or leave, the best your choices effect is when and how it happens, you can never actually stop it.
Gen 4 was the last time the Pokemon anime was okay.
Gen 5 was okay at the very beginning before becoming complete trash.
The beginning of Gen 6 was just a running joke of Serena's crush on Ash being unnoticed because he's an idiot hero, and later it became the Greninja show.
Saying "games as a service" is "necessary" for the game's industry moving forward is like the nonsense EA spouts about how nobody is interested in single player games anymore, when the real reasoning EA isn't interested in making single player games is not because of a lack of demand, but because it's difficult to convince people to spend money on extremely profitable loot boxes and micro transactions outside of multiplayer environments.
"Games as a service" is the biggest scam the gaming industry wants to work after loot boxes and micro transactions.
Screw that, I like to actually own the things I buy, thanks.

Re: Random: Detective Pikachu's German Voice Is Creeping People Out, And For Good Reason
@Chandlero
I was a bit off, as I read the article a long time ago, but here it is.
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-12-10-nintendo-explains-crazy-wii-u-eshop-restrictions
It was a law that made Nintendo decide to restrict the purchase of +18 games between 11PM and 3AM.
Re: Guide: Which Pokémon GO Companion Device Is Best - Pokémon GO Plus, Poké Ball Plus Or The Go-tcha?
The best Pokemon GO accessory is a large external battery because Pokemon GO drains your smartphone battery like crazy.

Re: Review: Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! - The Perfect Entry Point For Newcomers, A Nostalgia Trip For Veterans
Pokemon Let's GO is like Diablo Immortal for me.

Good because the Pokemon series needs an injection of new ideas outside of the character art.

I don't think it's going to hurt sales at this point.

I think a commercial exaggerating how excited Dragon Ball fans are would have made more sense.

Re: Telltale Games Begins Majority Studio Closure With Mass Layoffs
They made some good stuff in the past but got too complacent with a never changing formula.
At this point, they're probably the most famous company for the use of "illusion of choice".

I also really liked they're unique portrayal of Batman, which had a heavy focus on Bruce as an actual character and not just "Batman's mask".

This game is disappointing if you ask me.
