Epic Games is getting richer by the day thanks to its free-to-play battle royale sensation Fortnite. The marketing has very much fueled its success, with the company partnering with globally recognised brands and even going as far as dropping giant objects from the game in actual deserts. NFL outfits were recently added as well.
One other significant promotion helping Fortnite reach 8.3 million concurrent players has been the Avengers: Infinity War crossover with Marvel Studios. It appears Epic has now gone one step further, teaming up with Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt, to promote the game in South Korea. The American who plays Star-Lord in the Marvel films is apparently very popular in Korea, so it makes sense to plaster his face over billboards featuring the game. Below are some photos of the current advertisements:
Chris is previously known to have taken on voice acting roles in the Lego games. In terms of his acting career, he shot to global fame when he portrayed Marvel's Star-Lord for the first time in 2014. Before then, he was known for his support roles in television series such as Parks and Recreation and eventually went on to be the star in the new Jurassic Park movies.
Are you a fan of the Star-Lord actor? Does ongoing promotion of Fortnite make you want to play it at all? Tell us below.

Welp, now I like Fortnite again.
And here I was just hoping for some South Korean, Chris Pratt related news to start my weekend. What a lucky coincidence.
As the kids would say...
Weird flex but okay
@Jingo_Unchained BEAT ME BY 52 SECONDS GOSH DARN
Chris Pratt is cute as heck, so this random article grabbed my attention by default. 😂😂
It's kinda interesting to know he's popular with the Korean audience though.
...and I've been meaning to give this game a proper try since I downloaded it. I'll get around to it soon enough. Might try to before Let's GO snags me for a bit.
... but there are no dinosaurs to talk to?
Poor Chris Pratt he has Fortnite Cancer.
I saw this add at a bus stop in Gangnam recently. I thought it was for a movie at first because typically, Koreans are featured in ads here; not foreigners. Fornite is taking over.
Let's hope they don't have any network connectivity problems. (Kudos to anyone who gets that Chris Pratt reference)
First 2 articles about eShop games that got REALLY negative reviews on NL being on sale, now something about how Fortnite is advertised in South Korea, yet we don't get Arcade Archives reviews anymore, there is still no review for the exclusive Quad Fighter K and no mention of Sisters Royale at all.
Nintendo Life really needs to get their priorities straight.
"I don't have any ideas."
Horse proceeds runs off
This is very wierd.
Can we get a Chris Pratt skin tho?
swoon He’s my boyfriend
Well...after seeing Tommy Lee Jones advertise coffee in Japan, nothing surprises me anymore.
I swear he gets more handsome as the years go by.
ok, a celebrity promoting a videogame, nothing new, but why SPECIFICALLY Chris Pratt for South Korea ???
I mean, most celebrities that promote games are either from the country, of the same general region or even at the very least speak the language, so is there something I DON'T know about Chris Pratt ???
@GrailUK
same issue, why the hell do they do these things, (I think that Ashton Kutcher one is part of some late night with whoever in SK, not a real commercial, just saying, LOL)
Just when you thought they had gone too far
I dig Chris but this game needs to go away already
