Ok...yeah. I like this. Still don't think I'll watch it the minute I'm in theaters, but this has my attention. Will most likely watch it when it's on streaming.
@MamaSymphonia Right? Some of this is the kind of stuff I would see on Reddit or something. It's just a movie trailer, y'all. They haven't forgotten the games. Calm down. You don't have to watch it.
Well, this is it, Illumination. Are you gonna treat this timeless gem with the respect it deserves, or are you gonna muck it up in more ways than one? Hopefully it's the former.
@N00BiSH @Nintoz @PeterTomlan86 I 100% agree. Parroting all of your words, Galaxy is one of the most significant, meaningful, and special games in the entire Mario franchise, if not the most. It was a game that gave us unforgettable moments that we all still remember even to this day, had us go through amazingly crafted levels, gave us a fantastic soundtrack that graced our ears, and had moments of tact and silence. So the fact that Illumination of all things has its grubby hands on this shakes me to my core. It's the one game that they cannot mess up.
Granted, I'm not gonna write this off immediately since we obviously haven't seen anything yet and Nintendo always cracks the whip, but I really hope they don't do something like make Rosalina overly goofy or something.
Air Riders getting two Directs was a good idea because it showed the many modes and content in that game. Moreover, Sakurai and his team are behind it, not Retro Studios. Whatever advertising is going on with that game has no bearing on this one—literally none.
Hell, I'm willing to bet we get an overview trailer for this one in the next few weeks or so.
It pretty much made the wait unbearable. It's literally everything I could've asked for. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Doubting Sakurai is somewhat foolish.
Holy crap, the way it all just connects. First, you ride alongside the train, then go through the entire factory, and it all ends with you soaring through the skies across the aircrafts. I know that 90% of our time is gonna go to City Trial, but I'd be lying out of my teeth if I said I'm not too excited about racing on these insane looking tracks.
Yes, yes, yes! Kinda feels like this will be the one where things really pop off. It felt like the first one was just getting to terms with the basics of what Air Ride is, which is pretty much how these types of things go.
Yeah, the graphics aren't the best, the game could really benefit from voice acting, and there are a few things that could have been improved. Despite all this, I don't hate the game. In fact, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it might be the best Pokémon game I've played on the Switches. Whether that's a low bar to clear or not, I can't say for sure, but it’s definitely less awkward than Scarlet and Violet, and it doesn’t feel as dreadful to play like Sword and Shield.
Yeah, I'm enjoying the game and all, but the fact that it has these cool-looking scenes with characters doing dynamic poses and animations with no voices whatsoever really takes the wind out of my sails. They needed to fix this years ago.
MKW was one of the best, worst, and most disappointing racing games ever played—all three at once. And I have zero interest in playing anything Sonic. Can't wait for Kirby Air Riders; that game looks like something I can get behind.
It's still the best game in the series—no, the best game ever made by this company. Especially the sequel, which had everything I could've wanted. Story, characters, music, the 'mon designs, the extra content, the locations, the unique battles, the graphics... the game was just oozing with charm. Man, to be young again.
I would kill for a remake, but after the Diamond and Pearl remakes, maybe not.
@N00BiSH Exactly. Hell, for all we know, he could reveal +50 new tracks to race on or a completely brand new mode. It's Sakurai. The guy who loves to stuff his games with things to do, both big and small. Doubting him is somewhat foolish.
The way I see it, accessibility options should be in pretty much every game nowadays. Not to make the game easier per se, but to have it be more comfortable to play. Not everyone has the time or patience for insanely hard games.
@HammerGalladeBro Ah, going down the Smash Ultimate route again, I see. Obviously, it makes sense, but it's still sad that they aren't separate characters. Guess that means no Morpho Knight either. No matter, I'll live!
Can't wait. Been asking for this game for decades since I played the original. Sakurai's famous for stuffing his games full of things to do, so I have a good feeling this game will be worth whatever the price is. I'm not worried.
Hades II, since I liked the first one. There's a small, tiny part of me that kinda sorta wishes that Thunder Lotus' newly announced game, At Fate's End, makes an appearance here. Although probably not since it has a tentative 2026 year and they said they don't have their dev kits yet. Still, crazy things happen in these presentations. Who knows!
It wasn't awful since it had stuff I wanted, but I really hope that Nintendo themselves bring their A-game when the inevitable September Direct (or whatever else) happens, because things are looking...a bit weird right now.
I kind of preferred a general one, but I'll take it since Nintendo is finally breaking the silence a bit. That, and they could also just randomly drop the first-party stuff on their app or on Twitter until September so no big deal if you ask me.

Re: The Game Awards Nominees Announced, Donkey Kong Bananza Up For GOTY
Bananza for me. Even though it's insanely obvious who wins this.
Re: Feature: 10 Years On, Is Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Really That Bad?
Yes. Next question.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy Movie Trailer Reveals Rosalina, Bowser Jr., And More
Ok...yeah. I like this. Still don't think I'll watch it the minute I'm in theaters, but this has my attention. Will most likely watch it when it's on streaming.
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Is Seemingly Nintendo's First Game-Key Card Release
Despite this, it will still sell, especially since it's Pokémon. We go through this song and dance every single time with this franchise.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Looks To Be Powered By Bandai Namco's New In-House Engine
Love to see it! Loved what I played with the demo and can't wait for the full release. Don't care how it does; I've been waiting years for this.
Re: Talking Point: Smashing Switch 2 Numbers Prove Nintendo's Strategy Is Super Effective
Not surprised by their success at all. When someone wants the newest toy, chances are they'll want it. Doesn't matter who screams at you otherwise.

Re: Surprise! Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Arrives Next Year
Yeah, we're definitely not getting a new one next year. A tease maybe, but definitely not a release.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?
Maybe, but not right away. Starting to get a little sick of seeing these types of games if I'm being honest.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Scored US' Biggest Physical Game Launch Since TOTK
Love to see it. Had so much fun with it.

8/10.

Re: Poll: Which Starter Pokémon Did You Choose In Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Tepig. Always have to get that Black/White recognition.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
I am, already have it preorder. Always did have a soft spot for this series and that never changed no matter how bad things got.
Re: Nintendo Goes Full Pixar In Strange New Animated Short Film, 'Close To You'
Oh boy. Here we go with the weird cryptic stuff again!

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
8/10.
Fire Emblem, Hades 2, Danganronpa 2x2, more Air Riders news on the way, a lot of good Mario stuff...yeah! I'm happy.
Re: Virtual Boy Is Being Added To Nintendo Switch Online
Huh. Well, this is definitely...something.
Re: Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Charges Onto Switch 2 In 2026
3H was one of my favorite Switch games, so I'm all over this.
Re: Surprise! Donkey Kong Bananza Is Getting DLC, And It's Out Today
Game deserves it. Making an already amazing game even more amazing.
Re: A Brand New Yoshi Adventure Is Heading To The Switch 2
Sold. Always loved these games.
Re: Nintendo Today! Updated To Version 2.0.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Finally! Was getting tired of the Mario theme. Now I can have the theme of my all-time favorite franchise.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
I'm willing to bet we'll get a tease for the next 3D Mario in there. An hour-long Direct with the anniversary the day after it makes it too perfect.
Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
Didn't really have any doubt we wouldn't get one this month. Hopefully this one delivers because there's so much they need to talk about.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Upcoming Patch Will Nerf The Difficulty In Certain Areas
@Athropos Well, yeah? I know I can do that. I'm just saying more options wouldn't hurt, is all. If it doesn't have them, then whatever.

Re: Demonschool Gets Last-Minute Delay To Avoid Silksong
Wow, a day before Air Riders. This delay sucks, but good to know that it's gonna be a good week when we get there!
Re: Mario Kart World Wins "Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game" Of Gamescom 2025
Eh, I found Bananza to be miles better than MKW, but to each their own, I guess.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Finally Has A Release Date
Yippee. Happy for those who waited, I truly am. Now, can we finally shut up about this game now?
Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?

Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
It was exceptional. Hope the other Knights will be playable, which they most likely will be.
Re: Kirby Air Riders Zooms Onto Switch 2 This November
Marked on the calendar. Looks fantastic, and I'll be there day one.
Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct Revealed for Tomorrow, 19th August 2025

Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase August 2025 - Every Announcement, Game Reveal & Trailer
Neverway and Demonschool are the ones I'm looking forward to the most. Solid showing all around.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2 Upgrade For Kirby And The Forgotten Land?
HAL always delivers when it comes to this series, so hell yeah I'm getting the upgrade pack.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

Re: Feature: What We Expect From Nintendo For Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary
Galaxy 2 and Mario Maker 3, please.
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
It wasn't awful since it had stuff I wanted, but I really hope that Nintendo themselves bring their A-game when the inevitable September Direct (or whatever else) happens, because things are looking...a bit weird right now.
Re: Octopath Traveler 0 Will Bring More Adventures To Switch 1 & 2 This Year
I'll take it! Always love the OT games. The sequel's one of my all-time favorites.
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Teases New Construct In Fresh Trailer
Kinda weird that we still don't have a date for this. It almost feels like they're spinning their wheels right now.
