Re: Rumour: Xbox Expected To Join Switch 2 With A New Handheld This Year

Corvus96

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. They're already failing at directly competing with Sony, now they want to try and directly compete with Nintendo (and steam deck)? They should probably focus on trying to sell the hardware they have. They certainly aren't going to be able to compete with the switch 2, after it's been out for a year or two, and with a dedicated handheld. Only way that happens is if they don't bring their games to Nintendo and Sony, and also get considerably more exclusives. I don't see that happening.

The gaming market has only ever been able to handle 3 main console manufacturers, and usually with 1 of them losing quite badly. This sounds like Microsoft wants to continue their trend of being the latter

Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Pass 150 Million, With PS2's Record Still A Way Off

Corvus96

They'll outsell the ps2. How wouldn't they? Its going to keep selling after the S2 comes out and it doesn't have far to go. Hell it could WAY outsell it if they really wanted to. I doubt they do though. Imagine a new version of the switch (switch micro?) That's really small, lower processing power, etc. Make it affordable and as portable as the ds and gba were. Or just knock down the price of what's currently made, and throw in some reduced price games....they could easily do it.

Re: Best Ys Games Of All Time - Switch And Nintendo Systems

@Kingy what makes the snes version of Wanderers so bad? I was recommended it by a friend and it's only like $20 for an original copy. Looking around on YouTube, seems people are split on it. People who love Ys hate it, people who don't play the Ys games seem to be into it.

Re: How To Trade In Pokémon TCG Pocket

Corvus96

Thanks for the upbeat guide, but where's the acknowledgement of how absolutely ridiculous, predatory, and insulting this trade system is? You can't pick the cards you want in return, common cards are worthless and can't be traded, and you have to consume a bunch of rare cards to get 1 rare card back? Absolutely insane. Glad the other gaming sites are talking about it

Re: Is This Our Best Look Yet At 'Switch 2'?

Corvus96

Genki are liars, got it.

I love that everyone is saying they wish that Nintendo would just announce it already, because the rumors and "leaks" have gotten old. Seems so ridiculous. It's not Nintendos fault all these losers on YouTube and twatter are trying to make a buck based off nothing

Re: 'Victory Heat Rally' Tears Up The Track In 2025 With A Limited Run Physical Release

Corvus96

@WrongChops snatches them up from who? The producers? Developers? They aren't all powerful. Be upset at the people selling them the rights if this is a real issue.

The only games I see them releasing are:
1. Games there was little chance would be released physically otherwise.
2. Games that have already been released digitally that aren't being released physically by anyone else.
3. Special editions of already physically released games.

@WhensDinner I've bought over 20 games from LRG, and I don't get the hate either. Yeah, they take a while, but they give you time to order, then they have to actually manufacture everything. They aren't a big publisher, it takes time. Prices are fine, almost always $40 for standard switch editions. I've only needed to talk to customer service once, when a game didn't show up. Sent another one that day, no issues.

Re: Random: Guilty Gear Strive's Latest Update Apparently Censors "Inappropriate Angles"

Corvus96

@Milk_ logical fallacy. That's what everyone actually seems to forget about. The "argument" has been used for virtually every regulatory debate for the last century or more. Not only that, but it's a company doing this.... not a government agency.

"The slippery slope fallacy is an argument that claims an initial event or action will trigger a series of other events and lead to an extreme or undesirable outcome. The slippery slope fallacy anticipates this chain of events without offering any evidence to substantiate the claim."
