I'm able to play stable on my switch over a table

I'm ready for a themed Switch 2, our house need a second one for my daughter.

I prefer them wobbly, skipping update.

Maybe a little too much "Donkey Kong Odyssey", hopefully a better Odyssey.

To me, this and Odyssey's co-op feel like a case of "Creating a great full co-op game that also works well as single-player is tough, so let's just involve the second player in the game somewhat, rather than having them simply watch someone else play."

II'd love some suggestions for Pinball games to play in TATE mode, because let’s be honest, trying to play that way on the Switch 1, docked or handheld, never felt natural.

Keep enjoying Animal Crossing, because there's no upgrade in sight, and the next version is probably so far off, we'll all be fossils by then.

I also wanted to pay less for new games, but the gaming market is a capitalist operation, like it or not. I'd love to see a government attempt at the gaming business, but that's not the case right now.
Day-one games are more on the premium side of gaming. You can still wait for a discount (even if it's the standard 30% for Nintendo games), so complaining so much about pricing is actually complaining about your own gaming habits, which you can adjust as you like.

Nintendo could add a fun way to 'unlose' dead Pikmin by rewinding and replaying the key moments after finishing the day.

@LastFootnote In the end I think they will take the opportunity to use the tariffs’ mess - and also their pricing mess - and “gift” us by not pricing future games by more than $70-$80.

Now when / if games remain $70-$80 with all those tariffs are on, that will be “ok”

PS5 and Xbox players already deal with this: physical games that are mostly downloads, discs that just unlock digital content, and massive updates to make games playable. Nintendo’s Game-Key Cards are just joining the same disappointing trend.

Honestly, I don't think Nintendo needed to show more than they did. This console is going to sell out constantly for at least the first year, no matter what. The demand is already there, they don't need to burn through their biggest announcements just to convince an audience that's already planning to buy.

From a business perspective, it makes more sense to space out those bigger reveals to maintain hype and momentum over time. At the end of the day, Nintendo is a company, and their ultimate goal is profit, just like any other business. This Direct was about setting the stage. The rest will come when it makes sense commercially.

Would Windows games (and Xbox Portable titles) transition smoothly between screen resolutions and frame rates like Switch games do? If not, that’s a dealbreaker for me.

@Bolt_Strike We've had over 100 games published by Nintendo during the Switch's lifespan. While there were indeed a few months without a release, they often made up for it by launching two games in the same month shortly after. So, it's not substantially incorrect to say there was a monthly cadence of releases.

And for this month? We're at the end of the console's life cycle. It's completely normal at this stage.

As a kid, I spent countless hours playing Arkanoid, my favorite game back then. Now, almost 40 years later, seeing a new Breakout announced really hits me with nostalgia. Let's see what comes here.

We will probably see another Nintendo program later rather than sooner, but we will see.

Maybe Switch 1 will get a $50 discount to be announced at the April’s direct along with Switch 2’s $399 price.

Given what seems to be a lazy PC relaunch ports, I doubt we will see console versions anytime soon
