I remember this developer specifically stating that this game would come to Nintendo's next gen system...I guess I see now why they said that (and were ultimately forced to release on Switch) 😮💨...hopefully they Re-release on the platform they originally wanted to (i.e. Switch 2)
@DogDetective They probably saw how well Shredder's Revenge and Cowabunga collection sold on Switch and went all out on releasing more TMNT games for the system.
@Sparrowhawk It mainly involves Underwater exploration; discovering new areas (caves, trenches, coral reefs etc) , new species to log/catalog, feeding fish, taking pictures and upgrading your gear and customization options. There was also a hub area above ground in the 2nd game as well as a light story.
@gamerchick_22 They most likely have to do things specifically different for the Switch and thus it's considered less of a priority when the other versions don't need that extra time/attention to develop it properly.
I would expect it to release by the end of the week...probably
@alexybubble I might be to blame somewhat. I recently got back into this game and bought some DLC on sale the other week. They are just raking in profit at this point (no incentive to make a Xenoverse 3)
It's very simple, Nintendo doesn't really want you to associate their games with anyone or anything other than "Nintendo" (barring a few exceptions such as their most notable directors)
@Not_Soos We all knew TTYD and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD were coming this year though and yeah they have a ton of ports and remasters they can still release but I think most people are ready for actual new games on newer hardware.
Its nice to revisit and/or check out missed Gamecube and Wii ports but that's not going to completely drive a system in a market where it's competitors are releasing brand new cutting edge software.
@kkslider5552000 That's because MS didn't really market this game...it's the epitome of a "Gamepass game" i.e. low budget/low market (not low game quality)
@RiasGremory At the end of the day it's not about how big the cartridges can get (space wise), it's about how cheap the publishers are with not wanting to use those bigger sized carts and/or putting half of the game on a cart and making the consumer download the rest.
I'm most excited for Endless Ocean. Definitely one of Nintendo's most unique (and overlooked) franchises. Hopefully it runs well, esp online with 20+ other players
This is a 60fps game (due to its rhythm based gameplay). There's no way it can hit 60fps on Switch. Most newer games are seemingly struggling to hit (a smooth) 30fps on Switch as is.
@Adol-Bannings Atlus saw that it worked with P5 Royal, especially when they released it on Switch/PS5 so they figure there's a market for these re-release tactics.
More like a Port-ner showcase...I'd give it a low 7. Grounded looks rough and no Hi-fi Rush shows that Switch is just not powerful enough to run the game. Hopefully Switch 2 rumors are correct and Nintendo finally reveals next month.
@ShingoTamaiX This is why I'm desperately ready for Switch 2. I'm so tired of these games coming out looking like slide shows and barely outputing @ 720p.
Sigh....Nintendo consoles will forever be cursed to use technology 4-5 years behind the curve. So this thing is going to already be grossly outdated a year after it releases. PS6 is going to make it look like a PS3 by comparison 😮💨
@TrixieSparkle Sorry I should have clarified, those are consumer based internal storage solutions, years after being on the market. Console manufacturers usually use newer forms of specialized internal solutions that aren't available off the shelf and can be extremely pricey.
For example SSDs recently became available to upgrade internally for PS5 and can be as expensive as $300 for a 4TB and $1,000 for an 8TB. For Nintendo, putting in a new, specialized internal HDD could be as expensive as $100-150 for 1TB. That's a lot to pass onto the consumer just for storage.
As much as I'd like to see 500GB - 1TB, Nintendo is not likely to go higher than 256GB if they want to keep the price down. Internal storage is not as cheap as external.

Re: Review: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch) - Still The King Of Mario RPGs
@Kidfunkadelic83 Same, I somehow missed this on Gamecube so I'm super pumped to actually finally play this after years of hearing how amazing it is!
Re: Fortnite Teases New Fallout Crossover
Any chance this would exist if it weren't for the breakout success of the Fallout TV show? 🤔
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Pre-Orders Are Apparently Being Cancelled (US)
I ended up pre-ordering with Gamestop (in store)...yeah, I was that desperate to get my copy
Re: Knuckles Sets "Record-Breaking" Viewership Performance For Paramount+
Wade's Bowling Bowlarama: Featuring Knuckles is more accurate.
That said, I'm still hyped for Sonic 3 (with Shadow)
Re: Ratings Board PEGI Lists Hi-Fi Rush For Nintendo Switch
@Toastmaster I really hope they don't force it to release on Switch if that means caveats like 30fps.
Sigh...I wish Nintendo would just release Switch 2 this year instead of forcing devs to release games that struggle on Switch
Re: Review: Corn Kidz 64 (Switch) - A 64-Bit Throwback That Nails The Retro Vibe
@StarryCiel Loved these games as a kid...might grab this next week. Thanks for the added insight ✌️

Time to update my "Vibe n' Chill" group list..

Re: Soapbox: Where The Heck Is Fallout 3 On Switch?
I, like many others here, was actually just wondering this myself. It would be amazing if it was announced during the June Nintendo Direct.
Re: Cowabunga! A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Roguelike Is Coming To Switch This July
@DogDetective They probably saw how well Shredder's Revenge and Cowabunga collection sold on Switch and went all out on releasing more TMNT games for the system.
Re: Video: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Second Official Trailer Released
So this is basically the "Royal" of SMTV? Such a questionable (full-priced) practice of ATLUS/SEGA...

Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 'Future Saga' DLC Officially Revealed
@alexybubble I'm playing through some of it now and...it's actually well done DLC. It has
The DLC packs are much more than just the typical new characters.

@Nagi Same...I will happily get this game once it's announced for physical!
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Advance Library Later This Week
Speaking of "Zeros"...I'm still waiting for Metroid Zero Mission. Zero Mission is definitely in my top 3 Metroid games of all time.
Re: Tropical Open World Adventure 'Tchia' Glides Onto Switch This Summer
@Not_Soos Good point about it not necessarily being "a game for kids". You definitely wouldn't see some of it's themes in a Nintendo game...
Re: Review: Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition (Switch) - Freeform Medieval RPG Is Brilliant But Flawed
@Speedo I was personally expecting Nintendo to put out (or at least) announce something new by now...but that's just me.
Re: Tropical Open World Adventure 'Tchia' Glides Onto Switch This Summer
This is an amazing indie game! So glad to see it finally finding its way onto Switch 🙏
Re: Review: Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition (Switch) - Freeform Medieval RPG Is Brilliant But Flawed
It's a good game but I'll personally stick to The Witcher 3 for my medieval fantasy fix on Switch.
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Tops Amazon's 'Best-Sellers' Chart As Pre-Orders Sell Out (US)
I somehow missed this gem during the GC days, so I'm actually excited to finally play what many consider the pinnacle of the series.

Just a friendly PSA -
The game is now available on Amazon.com

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
@BFahey3 "Mama Peach"..?
In all honesty I think that's a question Nintendo prefers to never answer 😂😅
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
@Mattock1987 I hope you're wrong...but yea, in this climate you never know.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
@Mattock1987 I'm pretty sure most people are over that "issue".
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
Three words: Wario and Waluigi.
Make it Happen Nintendo/Illumination.

This game is great, but isn't for everyone. Please thoroughly read the review before buying this

You could always wait until it drops in price.

Re: Two Xbox Games Get Nintendo Switch Release Dates
@Ryu_Niiyama I just saw. Kind of weird that it's announced for PS5 but not Switch...I guess it was too much for Switch to handle.

Whatever you do, PLEASE don't get it from a scalper. You'll only be rewarding their crappy practices and end up spend much more money than necessary.

Re: Rumour: Microsoft Will Bring Critically Acclaimed Exclusive To "Competitor System" This Year
@HeadPirate I'd love to see a poll of how many people on Xbox played Hi-Fi Rush on Gamepass and how many of that number actually ended up buying it.
Something tells me it would be a very low percentage of people that actually bought it.
