The people who are still calling (or insinuating) MK World is a $90 game are either just willfully spreading misinformation or openly ignorant.

I just can't take them serious and completely disregard any argument or point they were making.

And there it is...

Publishers will learn the hard way. The ones that put in the effort to cater to their customers will be rewarded, the one's that don't, won't (hopefully).

That said I would EASILY support a secondary outlet like Iam8bit, VGP or LRG (yes, even them) if it meant getting ACTUAL FULL games on the card.

Publishers (and Nintendo) are being extremely short-sighted on how important and wanted FULL games on Card are. Provide more sized cards, create subsidiary systems, or simply risk losing potential sales to greed and anti-consumerism.

@Chlocean Lol I played and beat both FF7R and Intergrade and fully intend to replay and beat them again on Switch. 😅

I don't normally do 2nd playthoughs but I will for this one (and Switch 2)

@Chlocean If you like Metroidvania's you should def check out Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. It's easily one of the best games Ubisoft has released in a long while.

This game desperately needs a Switch 2 edition. Last time I saw it was running at 20fps

You can never convince me that going all-digital is the better route. You're giving up everything with Digital only

You are entirely subject to the storefronts sales and discounts

Your game is forever tied to your account only and if you end up not liking the game? Too bad? Want to give it to your friend, brother, child? Too bad

If you wait too long you could lose the chance to ever play the game if its pulled off the storefront due to licensing issues

These things matter too much to me, even if I'm still only "unlocking" the game with my physical key

@boatie I think people are forgetting that about physical. There's often times where the physical copy might be on sale for much cheaper than the digital. If I found a Game-key selling for $20-30 less than the digital version there's no way I wouldn't get it over digital.

I'm getting SF6. Outside of that I will be extremely picky about which Game-keys I buy and at how much. For instance, unless it's something that is an extremely high budget/quality AAA game there's no way I'm spending $60 or more on a Game-key.

@xzacutor I'm only transferring my save data and will be manually re-downloading my digital games. I don't want to immediately fill up my System hard drive with 70% Switch 1 games (I have a LOT of digital only games).

Really wish these Publishers would stop trying to get people to double dip by staggering digital and physical releases.

I almost never buy anything released digitally only because half the time they end up announcing the physical version months later.

(Some) People are severely underestimating how advanced the Nintendo Switch 2 is and it's screen is.

Switch 2 and it's sceen is litterally doing more than most of these $700+ Handhellds on the market are...and of course it completely ****s on the OG Steamdeck screen/console.

It's easily between SSB and Zelda (for me).

SSB because it's interesting to see how they will evolve the game after putting out (litterally) the Ultimate version of Smash Bros

Zelda because it will be insane to see what Nintendo can pull off on a "10x" more powerful system after the black magic wizardy they were able to do on Switch 1

Gamestop kinda screwed up and actually put preorders up early.

They were supposed to go up at 11AM est but the in-stores were letting people in @ 10AM est so the website opened Preorders early too. The people online waiting for 11AM never stood a chance. Stock was Gone by 10:30AM

Of course SEGA goes for the WORST possible option. Boo on you SEGA, Boo on you.

If they're going to be this anti-consumer and cheap about it I'll just wait until it's on a deep sale.

GameMill released Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 initially as a "physical edition" but in reality was only a code-in-a-box. Gamers were pissed and boycotted the game, and the sales reflected as such.

A few months later GameMill announced that they would be re-releasing the game with the full game being on an ACTUAL physical cartridge. The sales increased.

The market will often dictate what it is willing to accept and bear.

@UnbreakableAlex we are comparing completely new remasters/remakes to mere software updates to already owned/existing games. That's not exactly the best example to use...

The truth is, for a vast majority of people, the BOTW update is a non-issue, i.e. free (or $10 at most).

YouTubers: "Nintendo is Evil/Greedy/etc for not redesigning a 20 year old controller to work with EVERY modern game!"

@Tsi_Aileron For a Tablet running a game not even the PS4 Pro could run (Phantom Liberty) and looking as good as it does, on a screen that can go as high as 1080p...yes, yes it absolutely is (impressive) .

The Switch 2 Version blows the Steamdeck version out of the water and that's litterally it's closest market competition...and it's cheaper and docks to a TV out of the box.

I'm impressed. Very impressed.

@FX29 Iirc VGPlus is limiting orders to Canadian shipping. No orders will be shipped outside of Canada for this particular game.

@johnvboy This was Nintendo's way to offset any potential tariff price increases. Actually very smart if you think about it. These are all OPTIONAL secondary purchases. And ultimately, like you said, it's "only" by $5.

Meanwhile, System and game prices remain the same 👍

@Princess_Lilly Very good point (on both accounts). Though with the shipping address, if they wanted, they may be able to prevent multiple shipments per address, as long as there's no legal statute preventing as such.

Devolver Digital has a LOT of "handheld friendly" games. I probably have at least 5 games from them. Can't wait to see what they do with Switch 2.

@mr12calvin I wouldn't worry just yet. If launch game preorders aren't up by the 2nd week of May then there might be a problem.

@Jam777 😂 yea the paraglider skins (just like the outfits) can ultimately be found in the game though some may be exclusive to Amiibo (don't quote me on that)

And yeah he was mostly useless but it felt cool to have a doggo companion every once in awhile...just talking about these games again has me really excited to see how much better they look and run on Switch 2!

@Princess_Lilly They should go a step further and write a program that limits orders to One credit card/Shipping address/IP address per order. Then just cancel any orders that have duplicates of those credentials and ban all future orders with said credentials.

To beat this system you would need dozens of different credit card numbers, shipping addresses and IP addresses that are all unique per order. That's not nearly worth the hassle for a scalper.

How to combat scalpers: Only accept in-store preorder.

How to combat scalpers online: Only allow One order per credit card/shipping address/IP address. If any of these are duplicated or are in multiple orders auto cancel ALL said Switch 2 orders and ban said credentials from making future Switch 2 orders

WOW...I seriously completely wrote this off. I figured the team just quietly canceled it and hoped everyone forgot and moved on.

Kudos to them for not giving up on the DLC and fulfilling a promise 👏

Something tells me this game, in general, is MUCH bigger than what they've shown so far, especially the modes they haven't shown yet (i.e. battle mode, online races, story mode?)

Can't wait to play this game in June!
