Damn, this sounds like a really great improvement over the first game. Looks like I might have to check this one out (on black Friday 😋)

Got the game at launch and was pleasantly surprised how well this looks and runs on Switch. Not necessarily the miracle port as some other Switch games but it's definitely a great job by the developers

Edit: The visual style also actually looks (imo) more Borderlands-ish compared to the PS4 version, which tried to go more for realism over cell shaded.

If you can play through and beat any of the Outlast games or Alien Isolation then you have nerves of steel!

These games are incredibly creepy, tense, anxiety inducing and flat out scary.

@Supaguy They are relying too much on their past hits/successes. I notice a lot of devs have been doing that lately, including major studios like Naughty Dog.

I get that it's easier and safer for the devs/pubs but that's not really what the people ultimately want.

Why are the UK versions of Switch games always so much cheaper/get better deals?I never understood this, especially since Switch is no longer region locked..🤔

@Serpenterror Exactly, if there was a digital only Switch, and you owned one, you'd never be able to play Super Mario 3D AllStars, ever (if you didn't already buy it)....and those Black Friday sales? You'd better pray the publishers sales are as generous as Walmart, Target and Best Buy are (hint: they aren't).

Going all digital means giving up all of your options and ownership. You are completely at the mercy of the platform holder when it comes to price and ultimately preservation as many games get delisted.

I just don't understand those that are willing to give up everything just for slight convenience.

Working with Nintendo and knowing what works and what doesn't, when making new games, should hopefully help publishers put out better games that gamers actually like.

@RudeAnimat0r No. It just doesn't contain the final DLC that wraps up the story that they promised would come. It's still the original game with improvements.

If you like Arena Brawlers and the Dragon Quest Franchise you'll probably like this game.

On the plus side it has a very very clean visual presentation on Switch thanks to a possible implementation of FSR technology (similar to what Splatoon 3 and TOTK uses)

@BAN Both scenarios are possible but I wouldn't worry too much if it's only a 2 month delay. That sounds like last minute optimization, not broken mess. If it was 4-6 months (right before release) yeah there's serious problems here.

@BAN Most likely they are polishing and optimizing Arkham Knight as much as possible before launching. I wish more studios would just delay for a bit than releasing unfinished (or worse broken) games just to fix them later.

Someone made a good point, they would be short-sighted to release something like Paper Mario TTYD in 2024 only to release a new system that can't even play said game.

Well, Kamiya didn't play a huge role in the more successful Astral Chain and he probably wasn't for Astral Chain 2 either. He probably feels undervalued @ Platinum now that newer Leadership/Talent has taken over.

@OFFICIALMichi MK11 on Switch absolutely blows this game out of the water. Especially when it comes to character models. This looks like they didn't even try compared to MK11

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk also recently changed their icon from a very weird cartoon penguin (with no text) to a Neon trimmed character outline with text of the actual game title.

They did this with Nickelodeon All Stars Brawl also. While I can understand wanting a "complete" physical edition available it still kinda smells like a cash grab.

Hardware sales (outside of the TOTK bump) have been in a steady decline. Its already at something like 16% decline this year. I think most people are more than ready for a New Switch at this point

This article makes me seriously want to go back and finish Rayman Legends on Switch. That game was gorgeous and played smooth like butter..! Thanks for reminding me about this great game. 👍

I hope this "physical version" bombs. What an insult and slap in the face to the consumers to call this a "physical copy". This kinda crap needs to stop.

Started playing the other day and honestly, it's about as fixed as it's gonna get. Most of the problems (other than 60fps) have been fixed/patched, including battle screen transitions and while it's not 60fps it's a very solid, acceptable 30fps.

The game looks and sounds great. Will grab the physical copy in 2024 🙏
