Once again, the Switch Lite alone outsells the PS5 family of systems. That’s gotta sting… my mistake, the PS5 trio of systems HAS outsold the Switch Lite this week, by 16 units.

It obviously never WAS that bad, it just wasn’t what people wanted. Not from Animal Crossing, not on Wii U, and not at that time.

Film of the Year for me will be Michael, but I am SUPER excited for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie! 😆

Between the Michael Jackson movie and this, I’ll be visiting the cinema a lot in April. I’ll see this once, Michael multiple times I have no doubt. Those two movies are gonna be MASSIVE

You know the way some folks, instead of getting their car serviced before M.O.T. and instead send it on through to find out what’s wrong with it? This is the gaming equivalent of that lol. At least the patch notes are fun ☺️

@Don rehashes and remasters weren’t really a thing then, the industry was still in its relatively early days I would say, still growing.

We as gamers do seem to demand more and more, bigger, better, more FPS, higher resolution. We’re all experts here sure, everything is sloppy, lazy, why didn’t they do this, Nintendo should have done that, laughing and sneering at everything that isn’t absolutely jaw dropping. The amount of times here someone claims a game is literally unplayable… we’ve only ourselves to blame at times.

Hope the Switch 2 version is a big improvement for the fans, and a $5 (discounted) upgrade option? Credit where it’s due, hats off to SEGA.

@SBandy1 I never knew that was the case with RE4! I bought my GameCube late in the day, GAME in Lisburn I think, alongside MK DD, Viewtiful Joe… and the mighty RE4. That was one of a handful of games that properly blew me away during my decades of gaming, along with probably Super Mario World, Street Fighter 2, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid Prime and Galaxy.

I work in a hardware store, and I had a lady in today buying bikes for her kids for Christmas. Her sister was with her and she has two Switch, one each for her two kids, for their big Christmas present. I mentioned I have a Switch2 for my son and the one buying the bikes promptly told me it’s no good, a waste of money and there’s ’a big controversy about it’. She proceeded to tell me I don’t own the device, just a licence for it, and they can shut it off anytime they like. I reassured her I’m a big Nintendo fan and I think it’ll be ok. What a world we live in lol

@nhSnork I’m with you, I can only be impressed with Nintendo Switch continuing to shift such numbers. Just incredible and I’m very happy to see it, it’s a wonderful piece of hardware and anyone just getting now? Wow. What a library of insane quality.

Maybe, MAYBE we can see a bit more positivity around the Switch2 and Nintendo going forward. At every opportunity there seems to be a desire to look for and exploit the negativity, and it’s draining.

Do you know I have visited NintendoLife several times today, and had no desire to open this article? I think it’s the headline. But I’m so glad I did! Really enjoyed it, and some of that art is great. I really like the Yoshi’s Island stuff, that game just makes me happy 😊 I was never great at drawing, but I did send a few letters in to various magazines back in the day… even a poem about the SEGA Saturn 😆

@Medic_alert hello, sorry for the late reply. I got that 5K PB and two Sundays ago I did a 10K race in 44:31, in atrocious weather I might add 😆 I went out for a run on Wednesday past and had a vague notion I’d go for a long one, and ended up doing my first half marathon distance, 2:03:12. I’ve no big desire to do a marathon, seems well out of reach, but you never know. When I started running 18 months ago I couldn’t imagine running 10K 😆

I do wonder why the lack of development kits in hands, is this normal? Anyway, the more developers and studios that get their hands on it, the better for us all.

This game is a masterpiece. I got my son his Switch, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and ARMS for Christmas 2017. It was just magnificent, we took our children to Disneyland Paris the following Febrand it was wonderful watching him play a game of that quality on a handheld device while travelling, then playing it myself in the evenings. Got my own Switch the following May… good times ☺️ We’re both still rocking our OG Switch by the way

The launch figures of these games are beyond what most titles could ever dream of, lifetime.

@Beny9877 kind of hilarious how these so called ‘poor sales’ would be out of reach for the vast majority of games in their lifetime, never mind opening couple of weeks. My nephew has borrowed my son’s copy of Arceus in recent weeks and LOVED it, he was all set to get ZA and when I asked him yesterday, he said nah, apparently it’s awful. I think that’s awful. He would definitely enjoy it, I know he would, but he’s gonna deny himself it because of online discourse and ranting YouTubers.

@Max_the_German you know, at some point they have to hit go and start manufacturing the carts. In the past, that was it, it’s a different world now. I’m not saying it’s better, but this is hardly a tragedy. These are games, things to play.
