This game is a masterpiece. I got my son his Switch, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and ARMS for Christmas 2017. It was just magnificent, we took our children to Disneyland Paris the following Febrand it was wonderful watching him play a game of that quality on a handheld device while travelling, then playing it myself in the evenings. Got my own Switch the following May… good times ☺️ We’re both still rocking our OG Switch by the way

The launch figures of these games are beyond what most titles could ever dream of, lifetime.

@Beny9877 kind of hilarious how these so called ‘poor sales’ would be out of reach for the vast majority of games in their lifetime, never mind opening couple of weeks. My nephew has borrowed my son’s copy of Arceus in recent weeks and LOVED it, he was all set to get ZA and when I asked him yesterday, he said nah, apparently it’s awful. I think that’s awful. He would definitely enjoy it, I know he would, but he’s gonna deny himself it because of online discourse and ranting YouTubers.

@Suketoudara thank you! Street Fighter Alpha 2 is my personal favourite, all I wanted for Christmas one particular year was a SEGA Saturn and my Dad got me one along with SFA2… bliss.

@antlion I’d be up for a sequel to ARMS! For a long time that was my son’s most played game. I’d take any Switch2, still saving for one 😆

@Max_the_German you know, at some point they have to hit go and start manufacturing the carts. In the past, that was it, it’s a different world now. I’m not saying it’s better, but this is hardly a tragedy. These are games, things to play.

@Wewewi a Quick Look at Amazon UK, and just from that platform MK8D has sold two thousand+ units in the last month. A quick juke on Argos, and it was last ordered 33 minutes ago. Still shifting respectable number, and again that’s just a quick look at two retailers.

@Supadav03 happy birthday for tomorrow! I have a Switch2 and MK World tucked away for my son for Christmas. He’s been playing a lot of Splatoon 3 and Pokemon recently, but what he’s really excited for is the new Hyrule Warriors game, so I’ll probably get that too before December 25th. I’m saving for my own Switch2, but I want my son to enjoy having it first so I don’t mind waiting till next year ☺️

@LofiPie27 as a presence on the chart it is. I don’t care either way, I’m more amused that MK8D, a comparatively ancient, single platform game that has sold tens of millions, is higher than a new, multiplatform release.

MK8D back in the Top10 😆 it’ll never die. Sonic Crossworlds, on the other hand, most certainly will.

@benmalsky198 hey, I like both my friend, and both are very popular, certainly, but Nintendo and Mario are operating in a different league. No big shame or disgrace, it is what it is.

There’s a gulf between these two franchises in general. They’re rivals, I guess, but… not really 🤷‍♂️ Mario and his games, in general, are on another level, quite possibly a level all of their own. It’s like, every now again, we have a new Michael Jackson… Chris Brown, the Weeknd, Usher, Bad Bunny, Sexyy Red, etc etc etc. It gets said every now and again, and it’s great click bait, but everyone knows, in their heart, there’s simply no comparison. Mario is leagues ahead, in every way, genre and popularity and he always will be.

No… not yet. I have 3D All-Stars, so I have 100% Galaxy fairly recently. I have both on Wii, but firing up the Wii is not realistically something I’m gonna do. As excited as I am to play both again, especially 2, I’m also currently saving for a Switch2, so I will see if I can wait for a bit and experience it there. No guarantee I will wait though 😆

Working today, but I will make some more progress in Super Mario RPG on Switch, and Pikmin Bloom as usual.

Imagine that in the days, DAYS leading up to release, the reports were all copy and paste negative nonsense about how rough this was… and a lot of people just believed it. ‘Just because you read it in the magazine or see it on the TV screen don’t make it factual…’ those lyrics are dated because the medium has changed, but other than that, still sadly accurate.

@Suketoudara I’m delighted you loved Yoshi’s Island, I absolutely adored it back on the SNES, again on GameBoy Advance, and more recently through Nintendo Switch Online. One of my all time favourites, as are the Galaxy games!
