Or take the small negative and make it the main story? I hate how the press in general operate, and I have HATED how NintendoLife have been acting in recent times.

When you go to Amazon UK, it’s sold ‘10K+ bought in past month’. And what do you mean by, one other potential explanation? The Switch 2 has been out less than two months. It’s a big part of any sales figures at this point, not a potential explanation.

The discourse and negativity gets me down too, and sadly Nintendo Life have, in my opinion and much to my surprise, contributed to it. That’s my feelings on coming here more recently, and I have never felt like that in all my many years visiting.

That tagline though… 😆 I will DEFINITELY be getting this when I get a Switch 2, I LOVE Donkey Kong, and Mario Odyssey is one of the finest games ever made. This cannot possibly disappoint me.

I have to say, I was excited for DK from our very first look!

Mario Kart World and 8 Deluxe doing the business on a global scale! Both titles ongoing success are an indication of how well their respective hardware is doing, long may it continue. Still saving for mine, slowly but surely 😅

I take it all games on all the other platforms run flawlessly? I’m not mocking, serious question. I’ve been playing games since I had my Commodore 64, but I’ve been a Nintendo only gamer since the Dreamcast died. I’m currently replaying DOOM 2016, again, for my OG Switch and I am LOVING it… again. I’ve never played so much during this generation, and never had so much fun. I am not immune to performance drops, Link’s Awakening was very annoying for example, but I still played and completed the game and had an excellent time. I have no experience on any other platform, but the way we ramble on here I have to assume everything runs perfectly elsewhere?

Well it’s the Glorious 12th here in Northern Ireland… and when I say glorious, I mean the weather, cuz I ain’t a marching man 😜 I’d imagine all that will go over the head of most here. So I’m off, the weather is incredible, but I can’t go anywhere! Been having a blast playing DOOM 2016 on Switch, again, I really think it’s my favourite out of them. Have a great weekend all and do be careful in the heat, even my marching neighbors!

I don’t think Nintendo get enough credit for how they operate at present. We get the big blockbusters, but plenty of smaller, quirky but still profitable titles. The amount of crying that they had the audacity to charge for Welcome Tour, but I’m sure it wasn’t put together for nothing, and it’s hardly breaking the bank, and ultimately nobody was forced to pay for it. Plenty of things to criticise, sure, but I think all things considered we as fans are in a good place with Nintendo, as are their employees.

DOOM 2016! First game I downloaded on my Switch when I got it, way back in May 2017 😅 little bit of MK8D and my son is enjoying Splatoon 3 and Animal Crossing. I’ve a lad from Portugal on my mind this weekend… ‘oh, his name is Diogo!’ 🕊️

I will confess I do not click or watch any of DFs videos, but I have a dislike of them, and it comes directly from @NintendoLife articles and particularly the headlines they use, I have a negative perception of them from that. Obviously this article is an exception, it’s a positive article with a positive headline and tagline. Not everything has to be perfect and nobody is pretending all is well and rosy. But my negative feelings towards DF, justified or not, come from here, and maybe that’s the same for @GrailUK, I don’t know

I don’t watch the news anymore to avoid the relentless negativity. Headlines like this, while good for generating clicks I’m sure, put me off altogether.

Would it be fair to say the latest DOOM has underperformed? Assuming it comes to Switch 2, I will definitely get it there next year when I hopefully climb aboard the S2 bandwagon.

A lot of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for me! I have been playing MK8 since 2013, unbelievable 😆 trying to get Gold and three stars on all the Booster Course Cups… on Mirror Mode. If I achieve that, and I’m more than halfway there, I MAY attempt the same on 200cc. My son has been playing a lot of Splatoon 3, but we’ve had a great weekend outdoors too. I did my fortnightly Parkrun with my wife and daughter walking it… I ask them every other Friday evening who’s doing the Parkrun with me, and they finally took me up on the offer 😅, two visits to a local Forest Park, (Castlewellan ), and even got our paddle board out for the first time this year, which was great fun. Enjoy what’s left of your weekend guys ✌🏻
